You have absolutely no fucking clue on what you're talking about, so don't talk.
The video is stretched to the size of the video frame, no matter what pixelation.
1080p means there are 1080 pixels in the same frame as any other, except instead of 360 which makes the graphics look less detailed and more stretched, it's clumped together making it more detailed.
If you didn't notice, the video doesn't stretch 1 bit when you have it on 1080 or 360.
@SCSubert Wow another dumbass that thinks he knows what hes talking about. 1080p is a PROGRESSIVE field order, meaning if you are to increase the resolution from 720p to 1080p, When the raw footage is 720p the pixels will be streched and there will be lots more anti analising, that makes it look shit.
You'd see it if you had a big monitor, i'm on a 1920 x 1080 and i clearly see that 720p here is better then 1080p.
@Fillerfattenhow am i an idiot? i said he sucks @ rifting (fact, u can tell by participation, thats what its there for) and that hes a liar about 1080p, fact, u can tell by the pixels if u put it to 1080p
It's always creepy when you finally track down a mob and a rift opens up above your head. Trust me. It always makes me thankful that I have stealth as a rogue.
Blizzard Entartainment isnt a leading company.. currently Electronic Arts is dominating the gaming industry, rift looks pretty solid and the graphics look very good.
Games looks horrible, even from this video, how do each classes support one another? this is no better than the 80 man raids in EQ back in the day, when it was more about numbers than about having balance class mix. It is sad seeing new MMO that come out and really have years to go to even come close to the WOW concept, which is still flawed and broken itself.
@nytepoetry well if you wish to see footage of rift raiding then this isn't the video:p players do support each other but possibly not in this case and the reason why the group doesn't seem too professional or organized is because it's a public group which anyone can join without permission.
@RIFTonline Next time before you flame in a comment think about what you say. There's more than enough free MMO's that get money from other things such as stores. So please, go the fuck home yourself. I'm just asking a question, and you don't have to be an asshole like that, thanks.
A game can make it FAR by only Buy 2 Play (Single fee) but people who are brainwashed, like you, think a company cant manage to update a game or get new expansions without fees.
@mjaaa93 It costs blizzard 50 million dollars a month to sustain world of warcraft, if you think they can run it live from single purchases only you're a moron.
it does NOT cost 50 million dollars to sustain the game.
Get your facts right. From 2004-2008 only 200 Million dollars were used.
That means 50 mil a YEAR. Christ. And note that it is BLIZZARD (Whole company) who spends this money, that means money goes to different projects, BlizzCon etc.
Of course its their own game, have I said anything else? I just pointed out that a game can make it FAR without monthly fees. Maximize profits? Take of monthly fees and we have a double playerbase
@mjaaa93 Of course if you make a game free there will be more people. That's irrelevent. They found a price that is reasonable, that people are willing to pay and that will make them loads of money. It's a business decision. I don't know why you're talking about 'brainwashing', it's simple. There are no completely free games, every games like Runescape or Tibia which are F2P have added content for those who do wish to pay. That's how they support the game.
The only one-time buy fee game I know that is successful was Guild Wars, but you got to keep in mind they also released about what, 3-4 expansions within 2 years..
So realistically players would pay for these "updates"(expansions) in a way.
But that is the only one time fee game I know of with a successful online f2p system, Hellgate london was great online but servers were shut down.... All other F2p have cash shops that I know of. As they say theirs no such thing as "free" ^_^
pretty much because Blizzard is a multi-billion dollar company trying to get more money. lol
I'm not complaining though, I did play WoW for awhile and I must say it was worth it, plus they never would really let you get bored adding something new every now and then. Which is what we were paying for, more content, because once guilds beat the dungeon raids, they'll add more. Not to mention were pretty much funding them for their other projects such as Diablo 3(which im excited for).
@Mrmarshmelloman If you get in before the 15th of march, you can get the founder's discount. $35 every 3 months.. roughly breaks down to 11 bucks and change a month.
The rift thing is copied for the terry good cind book stone of tears. THe idea is not original, it is though in the mmo games

Rift is actually a pretty good MMO. The only problem is it doesn't "look" fun, despite being more fun then a barrel of monkeys on cocaine.

Yeah i'm tired of people that think rendering at 1080p actually makes the clip 1080p -.-, It just stretches the frame and makes it look worse

@nytepoetry A Rift is not a raid or an organized party dungeon. A Rift is just a random public happening

mjaaa93 11 months ago
@mjaaa93 Because you can't. If it costs 50 million/month to sustain the game, how do you think they should pay for it. Out of their own pockets?
Also, if they wanted to they could charge $100/month, it's their fucking game.
Also, if they make their OWN game, why shouldn't they want to maximize profits?
I'm brainwashed? At least I still have common sense.
