The Peter Principle is the theory that worker bees reach their level of incompetence before they stop advancing. One step past that point and they arrest any further advancement. The cure is to move the person back one step to the point where they were performing well and out of the new arena where they are unable to perform. Conan has reached that point. He needs to play the tunes the new audience wants to hear or move back where everyone loves him. Simple. Not hateful..... just the way it is.
Conan started the Late night show when I was 11. I watched him almost every night. Some times I was late for school. I love the fact that they brought Andy Richter back. Now they can officialy do the skit "In the yaer 3000" my favorite one. I will enjoy the Conan show till the end. And, when is that loser Letterman gonna leave. Its like him and Larry King sold there soul for long life.

Conan started the Late night show when I was 11. I watched him almost every night. Some times I was late for school. I love the fact that they brought Andy Richter back. Now they can officialy do the skit "In the yaer 3000" my favorite one. I will enjoy the Conan show till the end. And, when is that loser Letterman gonna leave. Its like him and Larry King sold there soul for long life.

ugh conan is way more edgy/smart in his comedy and his monologue than leno ever was. Leno was alwasy the very safe, very middle of the road very generic type of host. Give me a break, people that like conan don't have low IQ's I think all the hayseeds and rubes all over the country that love Leno need to broaden their horizons.

Don't get me wrong, Conan is funny to laugh AT. But there is a big difference between someone who says things that are funny once in a while and can act like a cheesy hand job. But Conan is never gonna be able to deliver a hilarious 10 minute monologue like Jay did. Although I do hope Conan does well with it...

As for Conan I noticed he smiles and gets somewhat nervous or shy when he first appears when the curtain opens ....He is too nice and instead of having this attitude of well thank you for passing the show to me Mr. Lenno And NBC....he should feel he earned it and really deserves it .... NBC should shut up and let Conan do his thing.....if they keep on restricting Conans show I suggest he leaves and goes to FOX where they will leave the door open to anything.. just like with Married With Children

also I really dont like the set ....yes its really pretty and nice but ....it feels so cold huge and empty Conan used to make fun of his stage the chairs the desk everything... I would like to see the show return back to its design meaning guests enter from the right were the band used to be.....also the interview zone should much much closer to the audience .....as for Andy..... I really dont like the small talk between Cony and Andy they still have to work on how best to use Andy

It's nice to see Conan back. Is it me or is he being too serious? People have been saying he wouldn't be able to goof off as much but that's what made his show worth watching. Plus, Johnny Carson was silly and kind of immature as well, that was part of his genius. I wish him the best.

I think this is pretty obvious when you think about all the hype before the show started.
Most of the Tonight Show plus Late Night fans were propably watching it. Not to mention those who saw it just out of curiosity.
I think the best time to check statistics would be when the dust has settled and Coco's honeymoon with his new show is over.

yes well it was expected ........most people really never had a true chance at catching Conans late show because all of them were asleep by 12:35am and yes the first day was a curiosity factor ...as for day 6 Letterman had Howard Stern on a trick he always uses when hes in trouble .....Im a huge Conan fan and yes he has changed to some point but thats because he is on his second week....give him sometime to return back to the real silly nerdy Conan that we all love

yeah Jay really knew how hang it up, by getting a new show at 10 instead of 11: 30. Here's a thought, Dave should move his show to 10 on Cbs, and move Ferguson to 11:30 and nothing would be different, just an hour early.

Different time slot & do the same thing is suicide, although, many of the addicted late night viewers will tune in, the new audience who live in that TV time zone r a new demographic. U have to play the tunes the audience wants to hear or they switch channels. NBC & the rest of them know this: they need the Nelson to get advertisers. Conan needs to adapt. The college kids dont get back to the dorm until Late Night & like different humor than those who r out of school, married & settled down.

Jay quit , he has been talking about retiring for so long..to be with his wife. He does not need the money. Letterman's jokes are so stupid and so are his fans. COnan and Jay rocks!!!
