The leadership of almost all large sects (Protestant, Wiccan, Catholic, Jewish, etc) eventually becomes corrupted by the money, power, fame, even sex. They end up in a position of control, and few can resist the temptation to abuse that power. Many of the people I've known who were physically or sexually abused as kids were victimized by priests, ministers, police chiefs, prominent business people, etc.

Christianity has absorbed a lot of traditions , in example of drinking and eating the body of Christ(the Lamb of God) , Christmas tree is an old form of Druid winter solstice symbol and giving presents is an old asian tradition , holley and the ivy is celtic , and there is alot more examples .

BEFORE there was a bible and the *one* god...there was Pagan gods/godesses, it really suprises me how *some* so called christains dont listen much but open mouth more ;) ah well...I know what i believe in is real, Wicca and proud.

just in addition i was a RN and delievered many babies and for some reason no one knows i lactated and never stoped i looked it up history of witches which stated it was the history of the some they lacted and many were midwifes? is that so? If so i have every sign possible. anyway i know i am i feel it deep inside and i finally feel content as i read the book it all makes since and its wonderful, and resonable now i am in my mid forties and a student of wicca and love it. i respect all you do.

i was always different at a young age 5th grade playing around with spells mom was catholic and forced me to be however i would say no under my breath. I was a psychic child and adult no one whould let me talk about it. i loved cats and fairys then just and my son drawn a phoniex, and another man called me the same then the day came i prayed please let me find the right book to lead me today i went and picked up the living wiccca by scott cunningham and it was my life he wrote. thank you michele

-Stop believing that spells and magic are real.

If humanity is ordained to forever have religion, I would rather this world be filled with a decentralized religion like wicca or paganism. Unlike fundemental Christianity, Islam, Scientology, etc., the pagan religions are much harder to hijack for political or financial ends (in theory, anyway).

Christianity has absorbed a lot of traditions , in example of drinking and eating the body of Christ(the Lamb of God) , Christmas tree is an old form of Druid winter solstice symbol and giving presents is an old asian tradition , holley and the ivy is celtic , and there is alot more examples .

Ok well basically he teaches his followers to turn the other cheek and goes and does that. Besides I have nothing against the actuall religion I just hate the followers who do hypocritical things. For instance like when Jesus was tooken to be drucified one of his disciples cut the ear off one of the soldiers and Jesus told him to stop and basically turn the other cheek and healed the roman soldier. Fact: Christianity sought to destroy Paganism by abosorbing parts of the religion or labelling its believers as "Satan worshippers". Satan is not recognized in Paganism, so how can they worship him? Roman Emperor Constantine held a council to develop ways to destroy Paganism and promote Christianity as the new religion of the Empire. I am not Wiccan, Pagan, or Christian.

The bible is a collection of books written by man. Man who is by nature flawed and discriminating. The people who wrote it, took everything they didn't like and made it a sin, Not "God." It is not as though "God" sat down at a desk with a pencil and a stack of paper and wrote the book. Also it was written over five hundred years after "Christ" existed. Not to mention when the Catholic Church decided to put the books together they picked and chose which books went in.

It's odd to me that people are actually still into idol worship. Free advice: Keep searching for truth. Know that there is ONE G-d. One G-d, not male, not female, not in the form of a human or the sun or a tree, but the energy of all the life force in the world beyond anything you can imagine, yet a Force you can speak with. Beware when something contains a spark of truth because sometimes people package that with lies. What you seek is seeking you.

One God, hah. You think God can do everything? He/She has assistance you know. Does holy spirit or ghost ring a bell? Open you mind up more and educate yourself. It doesn't hurt to learn more and to discover what's outside of the box.

Some Orthodox Jewish and Christian peoples will nut utter the name of their God. Even though technically that name is Yahweh, but oh well. (I went to Catholic School)
