I'm a young British woman and I've only just began to educate myself on the way transgender (and everything else outside of binary genders) lifestyles are and how they're affected by people like myself who are/were mostly ignorant to them. 1) Sex: male, female, intersexed. Sexes are factual, universal, biological categories that refer to a person's chromosomes, morphology, and their internal and external sex organs. In our culture, males and females are the widely recognized sexes. Intersexed individuals have chromosomal, morphological, and genital/gonadal anomalies which make them sexually ambiguous to varying degrees.
2) Gender: man, woman. Gender is a socially constructed, culturally relative, social and political category. Gender can also be part of someone's personal identity (hence the phrase, "gender identity") but sometimes someone's gender identity differs from how they may be seen and perceived publicly. There are more genders than I could possibly list, even if given far more than a 500 character limit, but I listed "man" and "woman" so you'd get the point.
"Man" and "woman" are the most widely recognized and socially accepted genders in our culture (and yes, many other cultures). But if you're doubtful that gender is a culturally relative, socially constructed concept, then just do a little bit of research. There are some cultures with FIVE or more accepted genders.
Now to directly address your comment (that is, if you've made it this far): transwomen are NOT men who look like women. They are typically biological males (although I supposed they could be intersexed), who identify as women and essentially are women. You cannot say that because they don't have a vagina that they are not women because again, "woman" is not a biological category.
The lack of a vagina doesn't make you less of a woman any more than the presence of a penis makes you a man.

I've had several men that have wanted to get more serious than friends and I always ask right up front if they're sure because I'm a transgendered woman so they know what they're getting into. @Qt4life6179 No, I was born in a small city in New Zealand - treatment for transgendered children wasn't something available at the time and was probably forbidden by the church which is one of the most influential powers there, especially to do with this kind of policy and the surrounding "moral debate".

Would you ever consider having children oneday, obviously i know that you can not have your own biological children but you could still adopt, whether it be through an adoption agency or whether it be adopting your partners biological children, there are many transgender people who are parents and who are raising children so i would like to know what your intake is on it and would like to know if it's something you would want later on in life.
@MrJohnboy1984 I surely would - I don't know about other trans-women, but I am more cluckier than a chicken coupe. Especially at my age(26) since all of my friends are having children, I am being exposed to the idea more, and I honestly can't wait. My partner and I are planning to have IVF treatments using a surrogate, but yes, I have also considered adopting children too, which is something I've always wanted to do since I was a child myself.

You're really pretty. Like super pretty. I'm transgender and it always gives me hope for myself when I see other trans folk who can "pass" once they have started to physically alter their appearance. There are some guys including my friends who would literally kill you if they found out that you are a man. Transgender women THINK as any other woman does. Mentally speaking, they are fully female, regardless of their genitals. I've had several men that have wanted to get more serious than friends and I always ask right up front if they're sure because I'm a transgendered woman so they know what they're getting into. Would you ever consider having children oneday, obviously i know that you can not have your own biological children but you could still adopt, whether it be through an adoption agency or whether it be adopting your partners biological children, there are many transgender people who are parents and who are raising children so i would like to know what your intake is on it and would like to know if it's something you would want later on in life.

Especially at my age(26) since all of my friends are having children, I am being exposed to the idea more, and I honestly can't wait. My partner and I are planning to have IVF treatments using a surrogate, but yes, I have also considered adopting children too, which is something I've always wanted to do since I was a child myself.

hi sweeite! may i say first off, you're very pretty, and second, this can help out transmen too. because even some women can be uncomfortable with transsexualism and react in a negative way, as someone in this comment thread said. So possibly get a transman on your channel and give tips geared more towards our men out there :)

She reminds me of that Joanna Paquin actress that played in X-men and Trick or Treat. She's firggin gorgeous. That is the thing, in my travels I have met some some ladies who were awesome to hang with and pretty who happened to be transgender. And I was attracted.. which confused me because I know their essence is female , but some still had the male part.

It is unfortunate that there is still such ignorance and prejudice out there such as demonstrated by one of the persons leaving comments. I am glad that you take such things into account and so in your suggestions you encourage transwomen to first feel it out as discreetly as possible to see if the person they are dealing with is transphobic. I usually wind up feeling used.
Girls havebeen much more willing to actually take me out to dinner or to a club and they are way more likely to want to go out again after getting me in bed.
Nothing hurts a girls feelings more than the guy who beds her then never calls again.

Im not homophobic in the way that I am violent or even vocally offensive to homosexuals, but I certainly don't think its right or what was destined for those people.But people should be allowed to voice their opinions, especially in America as long as it does not hurt anyone. As for transexuals, I don't even know where I stand. Before you have opinions on something, you will need a foundation on which to form them; if you wish to, that is. The most unbiased, and intellectually wholesome information comes from wikipedia - feel free to seek education on the biology of transwomen - the biology of the human endocrine system - the difference between sex and gender - and the forming of sex in humans.

I suppose if a Man were to be in love with a Transgendered Woman who was pre-op and he wanted to have sexual relations he would have to be happy to make love in whatever way was possible and agreeable to both parties. -- Not so very different as with all men and women . It all has to be agreeable and Nice !! The same would apply to all sexual relationships I suppose. It is just something two people have to agree on .
