  • @tetkoba I recently made a few of these stoves. The problem I'm having is that the flames pulse and are not steady like your stoves. Do you know why it would do this?

  • @srrrr11 Hi, Thank you for comment and try to build. Let me know details about "flames pulse".

Is flames torn off by rapid jet stream?

If that's the case, try to larger jet hole diameter.

    Is raw alcohol ejected?

If that's the case, it is too much fuel in the tank.

    Is it overheating runaway?

If that's the case, jet hole angle is wrong.

Adjust the angle to the flame doesn't hit inner wall directly.

  • @tetkoba Hey thank you so much! I made the jet holes slightly larger, that fixed the flame lift-off but I think I may need to adjust the jet angle next time. I will tell you how it goes. :)

  • @srrrr11 That's great. Happy DIY!!

  • @bulruq Venom energy drinks come in that style aluminum bottle

  • @downhillrider989 Thanks, I just discovered that earlier today. They are surprisingly thick and strong! Plus the inside of the neck is smooth with no inverted threads. It doesn't hurt that they are cheap and the contents are quite tasty, either!

  • I really admire your work and dedication, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!

  • Does anybody know of products in the U.S. that come in similar aluminum bottles? I know there is Budweiser selling in aluminum bottles but you have to buy a 24 pack to get just one!

  • @bulruq Miller Light pint cans, Coors makes them too. Come in 9 packs for around $10. They work great, I'm on my 4th build now!!

  • YOU COULD SELL THESE YOU KNOW? theyre handcrafted, good quality, and they look so awesome.

  • What did you use to cut the side wall? Interesting how you just pushed it with your fingers and it came apart. Thanks!

  • @proclaimliberty2000 I scratch by Olfa PB-800 knife blade. Mount the blade to wood block, every time you can cut the can same height.

  • is Japanese, could only be, congratulations outstanding work.

  • how does it not leak from the bottom?

  • @sigmanuzx794 It does not leak even without anything in particular.

  • @sigmanuzx794 Since the funnel has a slightly larger outside diameter than the inside diameter of the cup, there is a snug press fit between them. If you want you could seal it with JB Weld or HI-Temp silicone gasket maker but it shouldn't be necessary.

  • tape it to a car and a nitro

  • Excellent craftsmanship. You sir, are an artist!

  • BRILLIANT!

  • 2 questions, What can is this (trade mark?) and how to you set it off.

  • @ltcreations The can is bottle coffee can which is popular here in Japan.

Cover the stove by larger pot when lighting off.

  • @tetkoba ...OR you could just cover the top with the cap.

  • OK, I was just curious. I was thinking the softer aluminum threads would strip out quicker

    than steel.

I just bought some JB Weld for the first time. Have you ever had the JB Weld fail on the stoves from such hot temperatures? Thanks again!

  • What kind of metal are the blind nuts you're using? Thanks!

  • @proclaimliberty2000 The blind rivet nut is aluminium.I've never used steel.

  • Very nicely done :-) Don't think I can do that good of a job. Are you making for other people ?? GREAT JOB

  • @Ekwuss Thank you for your interest in my stove. Unfortunately I can't ship to oversea.

  • Comment removed

  • I have a question ... why did you first use the 0.5mm drill bit and then 0.8mm, the latter's bow why?

  • @CASTOR0566 To prevent escaping the tip of the drill.

  • Your videos are extraordinary, you're a master in the manufacture of stoves, truly inspiring, congratulations and Graphs to share your models, greetings from Mexico.

  • I thought maybe using different metals might cause some kind of corrosion problem but I'm not sure.

  • Is your blind nut insert also aluminum? Thanks!

  • Is the thumb screw you're using aluminum? Thanks!

  • @proclaimliberty2000 No, it is plating brass. But you can use any kind of metal.

  • Thanks so much for answering my questions. I really appreciate it!

  • I'm trying to determine which blind nut inserts to purchase. Would you consider the one you're using a small or large outer flange or could you even tell me how many mm the flange sticks out from the insert body? Thanks!

  • @proclaimliberty2000 I using small flange blind nut for 4mm bolt. Its pilot hole is 6.1mm and outer flange diameter is 6.8mm.

  • How thick is the wall of the can that you started with? Thanks!

  • @proclaimliberty2000 Almost same with beer can.

  • What exactley do you mean when you say thermal runaway? Thanks!

  • @proclaimliberty2000 Phenomenon that intense flame spout. "Runaway thermal feedback" basically occurs when the alcohol gets so hot that it boils really violently and doesn't burn efficiently. Almost pressurized stove has this character.

  • Can you tell me who makes the blind rivet nut crimping tool that your using and if you've been happy with it? Alot of people are complaining about the smaller mandrels breaking on this kind of tool. Thanks!

  • @proclaimliberty2000 My tool is LOBSTER TOOL. I think this is japanese manufacturer. I'm sorry I don't know foreign manufacturer.

  • Did you use a 4mm or 5mm knurling bolt and can you tell me the total length of it?

Also, does this knurling bolt need a rubber gasket on it to make a proper seal? Thanks!

  • @proclaimliberty2000 I use M4(4mm) 8mm bolt for fuel cap. I don't use rubber because it will melting in the heat.

  • This video is AMAZING!!! I really appreciate your taking the time to post it. I'm going to try and build one. I noticed when you attached the outer and inner wall pieces together that you DID NOT cement it at the bottom. My question is what keeps the alcohol from leaking out of the bottom especially when it's pressurized? Thanks!

  • @proclaimliberty2000 There is no leak because close contact with. If you worry, bonding by autoweld.

  • i like drinking alcohol

  • Are two different cans being used to create this stove? I saw the Black Silky labeled can, but the first can shown looks different. Beautiful Stove.... your craftmanship is truly amazing!

  • @WallDiver7 Thanks comment. I used sloping shoulders can for outer and high shoulder can for inner. Although you could use sloping shoulders can to the inner, I use high shoulder in order to increase the fuel capacity.

  • wery good job

  • 

  • Sweet stove. Thanks for sharing this.

  • This is not for wild life. Its for fun in the big city.

  • Amazing!!! Piece of Art!

  • I would pay god money for that stove. It is a piece of art.

  • VERY COOL!

  • May I ask a stupid question? How to turn off the fire after water boiled?

  • @AbarthJoe No way. But I know how many fuel to boils 1 or 2 cup water. So after boil, burning ends soon.

  • @3zonker8 Really? I have been around some of the lightest camping stoves at every price point. This was homemade by the human hand. Quite skillfully at that! Totally functional for anywhere in the world and can boil water or cook food. Maybe you were comparing it to your range at home?

  • I think this is a great instructional video and you did a very professional job on the stove and video. wlpartain

  • where can i get an aluminium bottle from??

  • @markie0mark0 beer,energydrinks,eco section od store,backtoschoool,

  • I would bet money that you are a machinest or an engineer by trade. Correct?

  • DOWNLOAD 20000 over!

  • Great work and amazing results!

  • this small homemade stove is built like a honda!

  • I'd love to build one of these but as it stands I think this is well out of my ability and it's a real shame cos this looks like a cracking bit of kit to take out into the field although some modifications would need to be made to the swing out cooking platform to keep them from bending in my backpack.

  • That is an object of true artistic beauty! I'll bet you could build a robot with six beer cans. ;)

    Amazing!

  • were can i get that drill

  • Any chance i could get you to make a cple for me lol.....

  • Well done! Can this stove burn isopropyl alcohol, or must you use ethanol/methanol?

  • I admire your precision!

  • i love your craftsmanship, and i hate to criticize. couldn't you pick something a little less disposable to make?

  • NICE build quality!

  • Fine if you have skills + tools + TIME !!! ...

I think I'll go punch some holes in a cat-food tin and "be done". (Looks GREAT, on you, tho).

  • very cool and nice looking too.

  • to bad you had to re-light it

  • What is hot silky black? is that a coffee drink?

  • @scarekrow9 Yes Japanese coffee drink.

  • What a stove good job. You should really think about selling the stoves and puting them on ebay. I would pay £10 no problem .if you do send me the url or make a another vid saying your selling them. Great job

  • how do you put it out? or does it just have to burn out?

  • @dominovarious This is exactly the same manner as pressurized stove. Burn out, blow on or cover the stove by pot.

  • Elegant design. Greetings from Singapore!

  • he is an artist..

  • Wow!

  • Very nice... I will try

  • Where did you get the little finger drill? I have never seen that before.

  • @dvdwilliams88 That is chuck of small PCB drill.

  • @dvdwilliams88 A pin vise would work.

  • Incredible stove build. My only question is what's the total burn time for a given amount of fuel.

  • @theKDICB 9min30sec - 10min@35cc alcohol.

  • @theKDICB Cool...Love these, please keep posting your project vids.

  • Cool , now to find the tools and material...

  • Dragon storm stove

  • @tetkoba thank! you the larger holes help it works great I will update on the water boil!

  • Sir, I was wondering if you could send me a web address or any info on where you purchased the blind nut's and the tool for the blind nut's.

    thanks Shane A.

    Augusta ,me.

  • @fustratedfisher I live in Japan, Idon't know the circumstances of American store. Search for "rivet nut" at amazon.com or Home Depot. Hope this helps.

  • I finally finished mine and it shoots a two foot flame how do I control that its nice and straight but it scares the crap out of me when I light it

  • @89gtu Adjust the angle of hole for NOT hit the inner wall. Or reduce number of hole. Or drill larger diameter(jet speed goes down).

  • So what is the more fuel efficient than a normal alcohol stove, how much fuel did you use to boil that 400mls of water ???

Or is this stove just completely useless ???

The video is with no information if the stove is even worth building if your goal is to use less fuel.

    Cheers.

  • @paulpm1974 Boils 400ml in 3min30sec with 15cc fuel(include fuel for primer).

  • @paulpm1974 He basically used a tablespoon of fuel. That's not efficient. That's fucking crazy efficient.

  • Do you think this stove is better that all of minibull design stoves?

  • @afterthefox7 The best stove is defined by your requirement. If yor want low profile, this stove is not the best one. If you want to use without primer, this stove is also not fit. But I beleive this stove is one of the best in pressurized stove categoly.

  • @tetkoba I think this stove is one of the neatest stoves by far. I Myself , would personally prefer this stove over any stove out there except 'THE DRAGON STORM STOVE"

  • I just messed up the second one didn't seal center hole was wider than the neck what drill size is better for jets?

  • @89gtu I used 0.8mm drill. I guess 1/32 (0.0313)inch is near.

  • I think I messed up I added holes on top of where it should be sealed. I ll make another tomorrow

  • @89gtu Yes sealing is important. And Jet hole diameter and its angle are also important.

  • Wow that is great I'm gonna start tomorrow

  • @89gtu Try this stove! I beleive this is the best pressurized stove.

  • you are a true master at stove making you have killed every stove ive ever made or ever seen

  • wow

  • The attention to detail and craftsmanship here is AMAZING! Who knew a few aluminum bottles could become beautiful art and cookware :) Have you ever tested which design can boil water the fastest and uses less fuel? If so please share! I would really like to know how long 2 cups of water take to boil from each design if possible. The flame looks 99% blue which is amazing in and of itself, but being an engineer i need numbers LOL

    Thanks Friend!

  • @deuce747 If the amount of alcohol to evaporate is increased, it becomes fast. So, I think that big open jet with big diameter kettle is fast. However, the fuel cost efficiency is goes down.

This Chimney-Jet is the fastest boil time without flame wrapping the pot in I had tested. Chimney-Jet can boils 2cup(400ml) in 3min30sec with 15cc fuel(include fuel for primer).

  • Really, really nice, i'd love to make one myself, but i can't find any suitable bottles here in Holland. If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.

  • Excellent job good man. I really appreciate your instruction.

  • Thanks for getting back to me so soon.Looks like I have to go searching for the right can and supplies. Can't wait to see what your up to next???AWESOME...

  • Looks awesome can't wait to make one.One question ..when you put the bottom of the can over the top does it "seat" itself enough that no liquid leaks out or are you putting Jb

  • @Kashtrig No JB at the bottom. When bottom screw hole are made, do not dent the inner can.

  • @tetkoba .. sensi .. Would carbon felt inside this design help improve fuel evaporation?

  • @MrSchpankme I think carbon felt doesn't helps. Capacity would decrease.

  • very nice! btw tetkoba, can i know what kind of can did you use on the first part? or can i use a monster can with a lid on it? thank you! :)

  • @manilacrew I think it is difficult to use the monster can. wwwDOTcocacolaDOTcoDOTjp/common/imgs/news/news_ga_20090520_01DOTjpg (replace DOT to . ) is the best kind of inner. 2nd best is wwwDOTbeverageanswersDOTcom/coffee/coffeenewsblog/archives/66 .

Minibull

  • Very nice work. Who manufactures the compass you use to scribe the holes in the end of the cans? Thank you very much for posting your "how to" videos.

  • @Kerfwappie I use OLFA Compass Circle Cutter. This is very cheaper tool for the work.

  • @tetkoba Thank you.

  • cadillac in jet stoves !!!

  • Wow nice work. Have you ever thought of putting them on eBay many would by these?

  • @AReptileMan I've no plan to sell. Nobody pay 20USD or more for shipping!

  • That was very impressive

The finished product looks like it came out of a store

    Stunning job

    Greetings from Belgium

    Erik

  • How to prevent the heat do not melt the JB?

  • @minghowong Autonomously air cooling. Refer last slide of the video. Please note, I'm not saying it absolutely no thermal runaway.

  • @tetkoba As the joint of the outter and inner parts just above the jet, I believe the heat does melt the JB.

  • @minghowong It is no problem though keeps using during half a year. In addition, AUTOWELD at the joint is not important. Sealing up has been accomplished by the accuracy of cutting.

  • @tetkoba it's a piece of art!! Yes. the accurated cutting would seal the joint.

  • That was fantastic! A great design!

  • Very, very nice

  • Excellent demo and very detailed...
