  • When you see these horrible retarded plans, I don't understand why there are people who still believe the government should run the economy.

  • @campaignforliberty Well Ron the fact they wont keep a bus, van, camper etc by just taking its wheels of and putting it in a massive yard somewhere. Homeless people could of used those vehicles to live inside and kept warm and dry from rain and snow. If the government did this 80-90% of homeless people wouldnt live on the streets or die early

  • I grew up America the brave, America the free. Now America the scared, America the controlled.

  • What i don't understand is.. why must you destroy the engine, its such a waste!!!!! And again send your old classic cars Mustangs, GTO's and so on... to Sweden or the rest of Scandinavia where its actually treated with respect and taken care of well! We love 'em!. ..OH AND A BIG..FUCK YOU TO THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT FROM SWEDEN FOR STARTING SUCH A STUPID IDEA AS "CASH FOR CLUNKERS"!!

  • There were cars in there look all over youtube you will see them. Cars with nothing wrong with them. Even rich peoples cars. Auto parts dealers got hit hard now they have pay the full wholesale price on parts, Junkyards who use old broken vehicles for keeping cash flow are hurt and people like me who barely even has $300 to there name can afford cheap vehicle. Thank you for pointing out exactly how this program ruined the lower class. Which our government would figure out who votes for them too.

  • Craigslist is the shit....If you have enough common sense to check thoroughly and be aware of hat you're looking for, you can find a car that fits your budget almost every time. I have bought every car I have owned from Craigslist and I have had one problem and it's because I didnt test reverse when I bought a car....MY FAULT

  • Wish I had ignored MSM and watched this two years ago

  • One mans clunker is another mans ride to work.

Democrats used cash for clunkers and easy home loans from Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae to destroy the lower middle class, so they can blame it on Republicans next election. They will say "it's all backlash from George Bush", like they do with everything else.

  • @racer868 Wrong the Housing Crash was Under Bush and the Cash for Clunkers Program was used to get Automotive Companies a Jump Start. after Bush Destroyed the Economy and it worked and yes some People Destroy Perfectly Good Cars but most of the Cars about 2/3 were POS's....!

  • @METALMAN4Wii You're wrong buddy. The housing crisis started under Carter and continued with Clinton under the Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac schemes. Bush tried 47 times in congress to have it stopped, congressman Obama sided against Bush each time. You can't blame Bush for this madness, but you can blame the Dumbocraps. Look it up man, you'll see that the incompetent government are the assholes in the room.

  • FUCK CASH OF CLUKERS I thnk its a huge waste of tax money and its the dumbest ieda ever.

  • @activenetzwerke A lot more than you have.

  • @activenetzwerke he stands up for american rights what have you done to be productive

  • I just found this "your" (american) Cash for Clunkers-program and watched few videos about it. It makes no sense! But this guy on video, talks good and for a reason!

  • Clunkers, says who. Because it needs an alternator, you crush it? That's nazism, not free enterprise. No, This stimulus is a clunker....It's just the truth.

  • @activenetzwerke He thought before speaking.

  • 34 people are reddit twats! (most likely)

  • @activenetzwerke Voting against bills in Congress that are essentially unconstitutional.

  • If you want the truth, please read this book for free.

    Who is Esau-Edom.

Revelation 2:9,,3:9. We have exterminated the property owners in Russia. We are going to do the same thing in Europe and America."

    (The Jew, December 1925, Zinobit)

  • SCREW THE POOR !

  • Ron Paul knows what the hell he's talking about

  • Giving back old cars getting 3500 or 4500 $ to spend on a new one to stimulate the industry and green up the cars on the road is a good thing. What I find INCREDIBLY STUPID is DESTROYING cars that you got back.

    a) Sell them back at 1K to poor people

    b) disassemble them and sell good spare parts

    c) ship them to south america or china or africa, places where maybe somebody will think they are not clunkers at all.

    No, let's just destroy them.

That's the most idiotic idea I've ever heard.

  • I am not poor, and I would rather drive an 80s Caprice or Crown Victoria than the festering turds that pass for cars today. I particularly like the wagons. I'll tell you what... I could buy a 1985 Caprice Wagon for $500 spend $2,500 going over it with a fine tooth comb and recondition it to brand new condition, and have a car that is safe, reliable, cheap to maintain and repair, and could not be replaced by a new car costing $40,000 in function or appearance. These were some of the best.

  • this guy looks like bush from a thumbnail view of this video lol

hes totally right about what hes talking about

  • Twenty five other folks and I moved some CFC cars from a dealer to a yard a mile away. All but two had the same sentiment: we were glad we did not have to drive cars across town they were so bad. That's not even 10%. Most used car dealers would not have wanted these on their lot, as they would have required major repairs. Without the incentive, these death traps would still be on the road. Money is going back into the economy with payments, insurance, accessories etc. Lots of positives.

  • this is all great info too, but dont forget the worst part!! that as americans we allowed the government to crush old cars that in 20 years will be classics. what if int he 60's all muscle cars had to be crushed???? we'd never have the BEST YEARS OF CARS IN AMERICA still on the road.

  • i want to kill everyone who said yes to this fucken program.... i have a old klunker and anyone who challenges me to take it will fucken die slowley and i will watch of this and make it known... so fuck you government and i will win not you u dumb nigger

  • Republicans arent people

  • @fernandoalonso89 your fucking retarded

  • It Sounds like Ron Paul would make a good president but that Is kinda what We thought about Barack Obama but He turned out to be another george w bush. In 2004 I went to vote for Ralph Nader but His name was Not on th ballet. I favor The Apostle Prophet Government where The People vote on all the major Issues & like Benjamin Franklin I favor a Government without emperors kings called a president or any type of one person ruler. September 11 2001 was an Inside job Google 911 Blueprint for truth

  • It did stimulate the economy but Paul is not always right but pretty good. Now Rand Paul is an idiot he needs to learn from his dad this great man in the video.

  • You are 100% right. Cash For Clunkers will be terrible for the long term economy and not only that, but destroys perfectly good, reliable cars and destroys them. In trade ins for ugly plastic pieces of sh*t.

  • Please, PLEASE, run for President again.

    We fucking love you.

  • This man is a joke, poor people paid for this program, wrong middle class did. Who pays for those poor peoples houses, the middle class. The middle class runs the U.S.

I do thnk that the program is a joke too.

  • @nijobe1 Wake up for crying out loud! The middleclass is riding piggyback on the poor. The selfimportant, puffed up middleclass with their creditcards and their wastefull way of life is creating a market where more and more people falls into the category of poor. If I have the choice of selling something for $ 1000 cash, or $ 1200 on credit where the creditcompany offers me a bonus for getting them new clients - guess who I would sell to? That is how it looks on the ground floor, my friend.

  • I'm poor. My car finally bit the dust this past year. There was NOTHING on the market that I could afford. I finally found something that really was junk that didn't meet the CfC standards and it was overpriced 'cause there was nothing else out there.

  • @DeathStrikeVirus - I couldn't agree more. Dipping water from one end of the pool and pouring it back in the other end is useless. We poor are the backbone of this country. We need cars, not debt. Many good cars were destroyed, forcing debt. That's all it did. I buy all mine from individuals, bypassing the dealer, new or used.

  • @DeathStrikeVirus I'm in the same boat. I purchased a used car in 2004 and well my car still runs, but it's showing signs of dying. People want crazy money for old cars with high mileage.

  • I'm sure this has been said already but the fact that they killed all these perfectly good older cars makes me sick to my stomach! I can't believe that not only did they take these cars off the road the destroyed them beyond repair. What about the guy that can't afford a brand new car? This hurt the lower end consumer so much i can hardly stand it. I just found out what they did to these cars today (i know its a little after the fact) and it seems like the dumbest idea i have ever heard of.

  • Well, our local used car dealer, who sold very inexpensive cars, has now gone out of business. Two sales people, one mechanic and a detailer are now out of work. There is now no place to buy an affordable car. The owner could not find enough cars to support the workers... cash for clunkers wrecked his business!

  • Please, someone enlighten me, I just accidentally came across this, what is this program about? what classifies as a clunker? No offense but I am happy I do not live in the US, from what i read and hear from youtube (both sides of the fence) you guys just fuck each other over, sad. anyway if anyone can inform me about this program greatly appreciated. PS if any dickhead comments 'how could you not know!!!" I clearly do not live in the US

  • @antonioscheel So if you have a "gas guzzling" car (anything really old or a huge truck = 18 miles per gallon combined city and highway or less) you get up to $4500 in tax credits if you buy a new car with cleaner emissions and trade in the old one. It was supposed to stimulate the auto industry. Total new cars bought=700,000. Total tax payer cost was $3 billion.

  • @BigD5989 thank you, that is a very expensive program in the sense that if you guys where all rich then yeah this program would work but unfortunately people, a lot of people in the US are in poverty trying to get by and from what i have read and seen (youtube) all of the cheap cars that low income families can afford are these clunkers, there should be a cap where based on your income it will restrict what car you can buy. And high earning people to be taxed if they want gas-guzzlers.

  • @antonioscheel Yes, well the idea was a positive one. But in the end it turned out to be another costly progressive program that didn't really do much of anything. Oh well.

  • the only thing that cash for clunkers did that benefited the US is that it got millions of OBAMA STICKERS off the street.

  • Don't worry the car companies don't even sell half the cars they make so there's alot I repeat alot of back stock. from even 5 years ago go to a certified used car dealer ship if you don't believe me ? there so desperate for a sale they might hump your leg......!

  • Although I'm not a Ron Paul fan, and I'm for the most part politically left-leaning (except for a few conservative views I hold such as Right to Bear Arms & Illegal Immigration problem). I must say, as crazy as the man sounds at times, Ron Paul is the only Conservative member of congress. Other self-proclaimed "conservatives" do not hold Conservative values. The GOP's agenda has long been hijacked and shaped by a foreigner, Rupert Murdoch and large corporations (both domestic and foreign).

  • Comment removed

  • Damn this guy is right on.

  • So true does obama think at 17 years old that im buying a nissan 370z for my first car hes crazy i have school to go to i rely on cheap old cars, and to tell you the truth new cars these days suck

  • @Brendon00000 keep in mind its gonna be harder to find parts at local junkyard cause all there is are suv's i know.

  • @steconca you are absolutely correct. This is what happens when liberalism is acknoweldged as a normal rational way of thought. Liberalism should be thought of as a disease, or a mental disorder, but since the US believes in liberalism now, and that we should just barrow more money to spend it, this is why the US is in trouble

  • @manfries you mean instead of me making a mistake let some stinking liberal thinking govt. do my thinking for me in the way that he or she thinks not what a majority of people want. hmmm interesting

  • cash for fucktards

  • RON PAUL FOR 2012!!

  • Your country is NUTS! Your government is owned by auto companies!

  • @MeSoHorrrny no its owned by the offshore bankers. I wish Ron Paul was our president

  • Dr. Paul, it's even worse then your analogy. The gov't handed out money (like the guy that handed out his savings for people to come to his shop), but people went and bought foreign vehicles (as if the people spent the money in a shop in the next town). This program is just unbelievable.

  • Yup the poor are very much suffering. getting gas guzzling used cars off the road, and trading it in for more modern fuel efficient cars. HOW DARE THEY!

  • @randalon What about the poor who cant afford more modern cars and now cant get a clunker because they are gone or those remaining are more expensive because of less supply?

  • America is driving all of us over the edge. Cut off oil to the USA NOW!

  • when need to clean house at the oval office!!!!!!!!!!!!!! # 1 being the president what a joke

  • ron paul sounds pretty smart compared to what we've got destroying this country today.

  • all cash for clunkers did was jack up the price of a good used car.

  • Well said, Dr. Paul. A long list of many comments where you are correct!

  • Nobody gets it! "Cash For Clunkers" was a PAYOFF to CHINA! Wake Up!! Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

  • Ford lost 96% of it's value during the Bush administration. In the last 12 months, Ford is up 750%.

Since the autos began the process of nationalization in 2005, last year was actually the best. To argue Cash for Clunkers had nothing to do with that fact is ridiculous.

  • that reminds me of this shit they where doing in germany called "abwrackprämie". c4c is something similar. in germany they drove cars older than 25 years but no rust and less than 30k miles on the junkyard to destroy it just because this cars needed too much gasoline. cars like jewels glittering in the sun, extremely rarely to find.

someone needs to meet this politicians and kick their fucking asses!!

its a shame what governments are doing to ppl.

  • cool

  • Not to mention all the Used car salesman losing their jobs. My dad works at a ford dealership and 3 out of the 7 salesman were fired (not including my dad) when C4C came along.

  • c4c is joke, kill the people who came up with this!!!!

  • so what is his idea

  • fucking scam. c4c is a joke! i'ld take an old car over any new one in a heart beat but why tell any yanky fuck. better hope your children dont suffer on acount of your actions. shit, ya right. your doomed. pull till your raw yanks.

  • especially from the 70s, in one of those, t-bone car crash, you'll hardly feel it. you'll be wiping the shitty little prius off your door panel

  • This guy is a fucking genius.

  • And i see the same problem coming like the real estate bubble - People buy something which they cannot afford and afterwards the banks which made the offshore financing, crash. Then its up to the world to save them again. Not with -my- money. They haven´t learned anything.

  • Same happened here in Germany. It´s not about "making the planet more clean" or save oil, it´s only about to boost the economy, nothing else. These 2-3 Liters of less fuel from a new car against a old one was double and triple times more needed to produce it. And i -wont- know how much people get -even with the government cash- into financial trouble because of this "now i have the chance, i -have- to take it, even im my bad situation!". So thats not a win/win situation, it´s win/loss.

  • Well said. They got this program rolling, because, our debt was rising to even greater levels, the governement was freaking out thinking We have got to TRY something. We'll they tried it alright. I am not a fan of how things went. This was an unecessary program. Clearly all the positives of the program were looked at and all the negatives were ignored. It was feared that more auto makers would have to quit production causing an even greater downward spiral for financial situation.

  • "Cash for Clunkers" was another obama ponzi scheme of epic proportions! Foreign countries sure profited from it since almost 80% of the cars bought were foreign.

  • this is what they came up with for the American economic recovery plan. Cash for clunkers ? and old appliances ? Hey maybe i can get a government loan for a bake sale or maybe a news paper route.

  • Ron Paul is obviously an expert on the environment. The program wasn't for the poor, it was to take some of the worst polluting vehicles off the road.

  • Wow nickrtvt2, you obviously beleve everything the Government and Media tell you. What a good litle sheep! Climate change is a NATURAL part of this planets' cycle. It happened approx. 50,000 years ago the last time it did. I could be wrong though, I'm not sure how many SUVs the Woolly Mamoths were driving at the time.

  • @firefox335, you are right. But still human pollution is making that natural change even more destructive. Never mind that stupid selfish people can never stop fionding ways of getting themselves in more problems than they can even consider fixing. Maybe is time for us humans, "the parasites & bacteria" that have become a problem for the planet ( like Agent Smith says in the Matrix) to extint ourselves to save the planet for someone else.

  • Once again,Dr.Paul has it correct.I just wish that he had the courage to blast the Bildergbergers, the Rothschilds, and those other Christ killers.

  • @TheMos2818 well aint everyone, but you aint answering my question. how can you aid the poor with no money to do it?

  • Most wasteful program in history.

  • Wow, Ron Paul supporters can't take the heat? A ronulan marked this as spam!

  • I do not understand what ron paul is going to do helping poor people? low goverment= no money to the poor and by poor people i do not meen thouse who can work, but they who cant work and have no resaurces.

  • Every time I hear Ron Paul all I hear is the truth.

The fact that this man is not president disgusts me. I voted for this man, but too bad he was running against Jesus Christ (Obama)

  • Ok so Ron Paul is very reasonable and is right on many things, but his brand of Libertarianism still would have poor people working for the rich inheritance-based families by leaving them untouched, so there's never a level playing field, and would probably get worse over time as the wealthy families amass more and more wealth and take up the resources as a result.

  • This program was the brain child of CHINA who said they would not loan us any more money unless we sent them free scrap metals. All those cars were sent to China.

  • Comment removed

  • Just like the freedom in the flow in nature keeps us alive, the freedom of the market keeps the economy going. Remove freedom... And you remove that balance.

  • @JuanVoyce

Ever heard of Irrational Exuberance or Unsustainable Bubbles?

I bet you've heard of Peak Oil and Peak Water. We've reached Peak Unsustainable Bubbles and the economy must correct to a sustainable mode of functionality.

This is not to say our economy should be small or weak but it must be built on sound and sustainable fundamentals, not government incentiveized bubbles and loopholes.

  • @skiguy72 Aye, Matey! Let's all put on hair-shirts and whip ourselves with various instruments (Perugia circa 1259). We can march to Austria and beg forgiveness from the Libertarian gods. Once the Reset is accomplished (and Bernanke is in on the rack) we can set-forth on man's highest and best mission, the pursuit of GOLD.

Have you ever been to Austria?

  • this program was whored by the chinese for metal and to sink the suckers deeper in debt watch the dollar bubble half hour well spent hats off dr. paul

  • If the supporters of this had any clue of the amount of rescources and materials it takes to make ONE new engine from scratch, they might not be stroking themselves right now. I guess when you can't spell because, you show us all who is stupid and ignorant and should be driving thier brand new car off a cliff.

  • cash for junkers not clunkers

  • okay i know this is something that is rarely if ever done on youtube but i would like to say i did speak to soon and i was not well educated enough and after doing more HW on the subject i would say you have a reason to call me an idiot. and personally i like ron paul.

  • the way i see it america needed to clean up its crap and these giant good for nothing other than basic shitty transportation is a good place to start.

  • your a moron

  • From what I have heard, no automobile dealerships have been reimbursed for the money they have paid out for the clunkers. They paid out that money out of their own pockets. Uncle Sugar, our government wants to bankrupt and collapse the auto industry. Obama wants everyone to be totally dependent on him for their livelihood. Where are the millions of jobs he's supposed to create? I bet Obama is pissed that Ford is making money without his help.

  • @ 2:00 - I think Ron Paul calls his colleagues idiots.. and rightfully so.

  • CASH FOR CLUNKERS KILLS GOOD CARS

  • @krunk6tree Sorry to say that but you americans are so dumb. Germans had ALMOST the same program and it worked and didn't kill anything because they had brain. They didn't trade it every car. They keep the good cars. You dumbass americans don't think about the future. It's the people fault this can happen not the programm or the goverment...

  • This guy is my new hero.

  • i agree totally i meen it gets passed on to the taxpayer and the rich find ways around paying their share of the program also theres just to much overhead for the cash for clunkers program to work and who pays for all of the overhead you got it the taxpayer besides if the older cars are on the road it stemulates the economy by people buying more used cars as they always have they we have talked impeachment ? nows the time people ? hes (obama) the same bs bush was ? do for the people ? not sure ?

  • Ye i think C F C was a Huge scam just like our corrupt banking systems who have enslaved us into paying back hard earned cash for their "monopoly money"

i found this site truelly unique and helpful seems like their diff than ur usual scam comp debtcrisissolutionsdotcom

  • Thank god I didn't get rid of my 88 Mustang GT... in fact, its gonna have a 351w put in it soon witha 408 stroker kit.

  • Not only that, a lot of people with old clunkers bought cars that they could not afford and will lose them to the repo man in a few months. Then, the old cars that have been crunched under the clunkers program, will not be available for the poor people who lose their new cars. This program hurt the poor bad. I'm surprised that stupid liberal politicians would allow it to be put over on their poor people. Worst program the government ever devised.

  • apparently people could have drove those 'clunkers' for about 20 years to equal the energy used for making masses of new cars and destruction of the old ones, caused by the program. Also, people who bought the cars are expected to drive MORE than they used to, which makes this program destructive to our economy and resources.

  • Ron Paul was right. The data is in, and The Wall Street Journal just reported on October 4, 2009, "Clunkers in Practice: One of Washington's all-time dumb ideas," and, "Rather than stimulating the economy, the program made the nation as a whole $1.4 billion poorer."

  • you can have my clunker over my dead fat ass. nobody is going to take my truck no matter how shitty it looks.

    '89 chevy silverado 320,000miles.

    thank you ron

  • The point has been made about the printing of money from nowhere and the fed and all that. What to take from this is that these cars are systematically destroyed. Your son is ready for his first car? Well theres hundreds of thousands fewer cheap options out there than there previously were. But hey, you could always get him to finance a low mileage 06 from a dealership and put him in debt! Absurd. "it undermines the entire market they depend on"

  • c4c was never about jumpstarting the car sales. it has a psychological momentum: the more new cars you see on the streets, the more you want a new one as well. doesn't mean I agree to c4c

  • Oh god. The news in the finance world right now, as of early October, is that the auto industry is suffering a SEVERE Cash for Clunkers hangover.

  • He's right, though: the lower class is suffering most from this phenomenon. He has a point, there.

  • Why stop with cars? Let's blow up 50% of our airplanes. That would be great for the economy, right?

  • cash for clunkers was really meant to get cars that would be converted to electric or other off the road. yes the collateral damage is precisley this. if you boil anything down you find the interest of big oil, steel, and POWER be satisfied.

  • yea that's probably right...

  • I think the other idea is to get more fuel efficient cars on the road, but its not fair on all the other businesses around not to subsidise their products as well.

  • And it doesn't help that its all fake money in the first place. I would kill for some deflation right now. Some massive deflation. Right now without the gold standard the dollar is worth 2 cents of what it was a hundred years ago. How can you possibly have a health economy when youre all using play money to pay off international debts. Its just a giant lie fabricated by the federal reserve, and banks alike when you think about it.

  • it seems to work well though. just because our monetary system doesn't follow your rigid definition of a "moral" banking system, doesn't mean we should scrap it. and by the way, we do have massive deflation!!! what do you think a recession is?

  • A recession is the market doing shitty, and the stocks generally decreasing. That is in no way, shape, or form, deflation. And I hate to break it to you, but banks printing up fake money and buying up all the assets with it is quite immoral. Farmers fought a small revolution against banks doing this a little over a century ago. I'm also sorry you can't be a smartass, and not be smart.

  • Oh, I didn't realize that a recession is "the market doing shitty". Thanks for providing such an educated definition.

Any economist knows that a recession is caused by a decrease in the money supply. When interest rates are high, the less money there is in circulation, and thus the less money there is to be spent, creating less economic activity.

By the way, the revolutionary war was more than TWO centuries ago dumbass. And they were fighting the British Empire over their right to trade freely.

  • So you think the Fed artificially raising and lowering interest works? When over a hundred years of evidence says it doesn't? ANd I wasn't referring to the American Revolution numbnuts. If you knew a little bit more about history, you might know what I was referring to. But, just to keep you on your toes, I'll let you look up what I'm talking about.

  • I'm sorry I'm not familiar with this one very vague and generic example of history that you seem to use to justify your rigid political beliefs.

But at least I actually understand what causes recessions. You like to just blame everything on banks and the Federal Reserve instead of actually studying facts.

  • But how are my beliefs "rigid" when you admitted in a post below that the Federal Reserve creates recessions. You admitted it in a post below. Now if you know what a recession is, then you must not know what the Federal Reserve is, seeing as how they're the ones in control of inflation and deflation. Please, stop calling other peoples facts rigid. It just makes you look stupid.

  • I agree that the Fed can enable inflation and deflation, but I don't think that it's like THE root cause of all economic problems.

  • Well, knowing that the Fed is the one that controls inflation and deflation, would you mind reiterating the definition of a recession...

  • no the Fed can offset deflation with inflation and can offset inflation with deflation. that's the purpose of the Fed! it's not like the economy has no inflation/deflation unless the Fed does something.

  • A recession is when real GDP drops below potential GDP for a period of six months or more. I think.

  • By the way, deflation can be just as bad, if not worse, than inflation. It's not like the markets always naturally bring a stable currency or that the governments always bring massive inflation when they print or borrow.

  • i think ron paul is a brilliant man. but he tries to apply classical free market economic principles to every issue. the fact is that if we allow people to spend money in certain markets using tax revenues (which isn't just paid for by the poor) it will help create jobs and bring profits to the car companies. Free markets can't always deliver the best solution!

  • He already made his point with the example he gives in this video. If you take a dollar out of your pocket and buy a candy bar from your own vending machine, did you make a profit? Not to mention that the dollar you just pulled out isn't worth the paper its printed on anymore. They just print up more monopoly money and start spreading it around like a plague, further diluting the not so free market economy. All its doing is putting the country into a worse condition.

  • Well think about the situation from a more practical perspective. if all vending machine owners are losing profits during a recession because their costumers can't afford to buy candy bars, they might lose their business which would effect the entire economy. But, if the government can put a slightly higher tax on the rich and use the money to help costumers pay for candy bars, it will keep the vending machine business from potentially causing a depression.

  • So, what you're proposing is have the vending machine owners pay for their own vending machine products. Yes, I'm sure that creates a perfectly health economy. Gimme a break. A healthy economy doesn't involve taxing people to death just to pay off interest to the Fed. A healthy economy a middle class, and very few poor. When you institute true socialism it doesn't do away with the rich, it does away with the middle class. Meaning you have the haves, and the have nots. Not buying into socialism.

  • These guys think FDR was a bad guy. Nuff said. Their ideology is more important than reality or beneficial pragmatism. I love them, though. They are so cute with their passion!

  • lol.

  • A car at 15 mpg & 12k mi a year uses 800 gallons a year of gas. A car at 25 mpg & 12k mi a year uses 480 gals a year. The average clunker deal will reduce US gas consumption by 320 gals per year. They claim 700k cars, that's 224 mil gals/year. That equals to bit over 5 mil barrels of oil, which is about ¼ of one day's US consumption. 5 mil bbls of oil is $350 mil at $75/bbl. We all spent $3 bil to save $350 mil. How good a deal was that? They'll probably do a great job with health care though.

  • Fat Stupid Americans. The U.S. Goverment gave you $4500 to buy you a new car. Your pathetic, They own you, Your Governement owns you. Doesn't matter what color you are, Euphemism, your government used this to hide what the truth really is, and the fact is, Americans are the stupidest pieces of shit in this world.

  • Sounds like another jealous European. It's "you're pathetic", by the way. Learn to spell. Maybe that's why you're not as successful as we are.

  • your a fuck

  • muratshawn --- Huge corporations pay big media , to run the news about how socialism is BAD ,,, and stuff like that ,, But Germany (and most european states) has no bailout plan , They are more FREE economy people than those in USA ,,

Americans are dumb , They think Universal Health Care is bad , but look 2 trillion $ went for bailout plan of Banks and major financial institutions , menagers and fuckers who take vacations every 3 moths,. they give them money and woker gets COCK

  • This was not a bad idea except they destroy all the car's that were deemed clunkers where i live the three 2006 suburbans that are sitting in a junk yard bullshit

  • Still a bad idea. It's a blatant example of broken window fallacy. Look up the term for details.

  • ok cash for clunkers was meant for people who wanted to buy a car but were just short, not the poor. and at 2:30 just wow, if your that stupid then you shouldnt run a business

  • I'm thinking in 6 months or so when the people (that couldn't afford a new car to begin with & CAN'T make there payments,) REPO'S will go through the roof and a crap ton of NEW/used cars with hit the market. Banks/Automakers will be crying the blues and wanting another "bailout" and it will be the same BS alllll over again.

  • blymy i have never seen such a bad idea as this, surely the american government cant be that obtuse?

  • 1) you are assuming americans know what obtuse means.

THAT is part of the problem. FLORIDE in the water has worked ALL too well.

  • You're right. More NWO socialist crap.

  • Socialist crap???? I would give my whole paycheck,if you are able to tell me what soclialist is and stop making it sound like its a bad thing,to the other uneducated americans lol. . . pathetic.

Americans using the word socialist, like its a bad and terrible thing. . .

you go ahead and pretend to be america only, while going to wal mart!

  • Ya got it right....It's based on your giving me your whole paycheck. Capitalism, I profit from my hard work. Socialism, I profit from your hard work. The trouble with that is soon you'll discover you don't have any advantage to work hard because it advances my comfort, not yours.

As an economic principle, capitalism drives profits towards zero while socialism drives productivity towards zero. Therefor capitalism produces the higher standard of living.

  • Socialism IS a bad and terrible thing. Go read a few history books.

  • I do not need to read a history book about socialism, unlike most americans. I belong to those who have a passport and also been out of the country and lived in other countries, that provide and have a socialism system.....Germany,England,France, and by the way those countries have more freedom, more workers right than Americans can dream off. 30 days vacation a year,no sick day limits at work, free universal healthcare for all women, men and child....wow very very terrible, its scary,...lol

  • That's brochure hype. Read a little more carefully.

Those countries also have higher unemployment rates because employees are so expensive and so permanent. Worse yet, France is facing a little problem: They can't afford their precious little handouts anymore. Sooner or later, and probably sooner, they're going to have to scrap the whole thing because the money's run out.

  • Lord, Unlike the USA,France is not owned by China...but we the USA are.

Also France is completely independent of Mid East Oil...so believe me, we are in more ways than one behind France...

I am not saying France and other european countries are perfect, but for sure as hell, they have few basic human rights and humanly society,a country that believes in taking care of each other and being one country....

  • Government "human rights" programs are horribly guilty of picking and choosing who's rights they protect and who's they trample on. Read up on them.

Dependence on foreign oil? What's that go to do with anything?

  • The government is probably hiding audio and or video devices in these cars
