Same principle as when you are playing a duet on ONE piano. Left side = (usually) accompaniment. Right = leads.

In this vid, left side was the bottom part.

i see, thanks. but something still gets me, when u look closely in the original vid, with jay and yu hao, jay is playing the center notes, while yu hao is playing the outer notes. which made me confused.

No no you dont understand lol .. sorry i mis-explained. Normally, duets have right hand side and left hand sides. That would be duets for one piano. However, this particular duets calls for two pianos. So if you try it on only one piano, it just might not fit. Right hand side is still the lead, but one whole piano. Left side accompanies on another piano.

we both have 3 piano/keayboards each, in our own home, but the venue of the celebration where we are playing has no piano. And his full size keyboard has problems, so we might get stuck just playing on my piano

hope you wouldnt mind telling how trying this on one piano goes. because i have 2 pianos but in totally different places. ones at my cousins house (she will be playing) and the others mine at my house. so we will try to play it on one but havent got the time to arrange it

we are still thinking about how to do it. We tried playing it in the normal octave ranges, it was fine for a bit, a little to close tho, lol, we ended up going straight into each others area. At the moment, we are playing the right side, a whole octave higher. it doesnt sound as strong as the normal range, but it still works.

In some parts, it is actually possible to play in the normal octave ranges. So far, my friend has just been switching octaves, to where ever he feels comfortable.U decide

@fullxofxpridexazn you should first record the piano music, then the beats as a backfround, then the the violin as the background and later when ur done wid that you should mix them to make one complete file .. My cousin used to do that wit his keyboard, the name of the program is Audacity

the very beginning is a classical piece from Bach, and than slowly goes into Jay Chou's "Ni Lin"
