  • suck my balls

  • this is true i do it

  • COMPANY SELLING ITS SECURITY SYSTEM SAYS NOBODY HAS BEATEN IT?!

    YOU DONT SAY.

THIS JUST IN: NEW PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE SAYS HE'S A TRUSTWORTHY GUY!

  • @Bolrof but isnt it illegal to advertise a product using information that isnt true?

  • @ryansg9 actually the information was true at the time they wrote it so it isnt illegal.

  • @ryansg9 well... the more money you have, the less things are illegal to you ;)

  • @Bolrof WHOA REALLY WHO IS THIS NEW CANDIDATE?!

  • if these folks ever turned into a life of crime then alot of people would be left in their underwear lol

  • Holy crap!

    Adam's a criminal

    ARREST HIM!

  • 240P we meet again

  • Niiiiice

  • What company so I avoid them???!!! Ahhhh Bastards

  • dear god.....just as my mum walks in she hears "BACK WITH THE FINGER FIDILERS!"

  • @TheFanaticFrancis That doesn't sound sexually explicit at all.

  • So 54 fingerprintlock manufacturers has seen this video :D

  • This is exactly why mythbusters is not aloud to do RFID chips.

  • The manufacturers are going to kill mythbusters...

  • @satinISsexy "this show sucks anymore"

  • There is one company's selling point ruined xD

  • what is the brand?haha

  • So the pulse, sweat, temperature, and more was all a lie. I had always assumed it was because all those variable change at any time of the day. After this show, the fingerprint systems all but disappeared from many consumer and business level products. Coincidence?

  • Mythbusters FAIL... PASTE BESIDE watch?v= uILWy6iWNJM or go my channel

  • I hate this American Narrator :L, I prefer the British one, he has more character and isant so damn bland when talking :L

  • @StevensPrankCalls Funny, most people I know actually think the opposite...

  • @TheDarkStar9966 Yeah but this guy sounds like bloody Microsoft Sam.....

  • @StevensPrankCalls I love this one heaps better. To each his own I guess.

  • 52 people tried and got busted.

  • what episode was this?

  • How do I submit a myth request w/o rooting through their nearly endless myths?

  • Anyone else come here from the comment on homeless guy singing!

  • a mythbuster challenge: Why is your mom fat?

  • If I had a dollar for every frame in this video I would have a nickle

  • Well, certainly don't invest in this company's security technology. I mean a Xerox? Jesus...

  • @cbmtrx Xerox, some refining of the lines, good old fashioned social engineering to get the fingerprint, but yeah, absurdly simple. I wonder if it would work with salt water when he licks it? Don't want to leave DNA from saliva at the scene of the crime after all.

  • If I had $1 for every Pixel in this video I would have $1

  • @jeremytannenbaum So you were watching colours? :P

  • 2020....1080p we meet again

  • Hey I was just checking out your video's. What's the best way to get your videos out there for people to see and get a bunch of hits. Well just wanted to say good video and keep them coming. Check out my videos at JohnnyDraper2011 thanks

  • @JohnnyDraper2011 the best way is to have interesting video titles, short videos, accurate and comprehensive tag words, and to popularise the video across the web in a short time, like on messageboards...

  • 51 were not considered, because their houses broken into

  • Wow a piece of paper -.- WE NEED BETTER SYSTEMS WAKE DF UP AMERICA!

  • The real myth is which ones gay

  • I prefer cutting the owners hand off and using it on the fingerprint lock.

  • @TheHunted113

they said it detects pulse and heat and sweat and stuff

  • well would ya look at that

  • Next tiem, just pull the hinge pins out.

  • @burchified Its an inward opening door, hinge pins if non fixed are on the inside

  • @5Fathom5 It's not easy, but I've seen it done on a jobsite.

  • A little Saturday morning mythbusters marathon then HornyHabits com. Gonna be a good day! Haha

  • 50 people got owned

  • @Razzorblade971 so 240p comment we meet again...

  • @kodred996 lol :)

  • @Razzorblade971 Original...

  • Mythbusters helped 1,965 break into a house.

  • @BakuraHeart yea this is a very informal video

  • @BakuraHeart Now they helped another 11 people than before break into a house(s)!

  • @BakuraHeart You have biometric locks on your front door? Where the fuck do your live? Darfur?

  • @BakuraHeart who is this 1965 you are talking about

  • @Shift4chizzle It was, at the time, the number of people who liked this video.

  • @BakuraHeart i know i know lol, its just u forgot to add people after the number

  • @BakuraHeart Actually more than that, it's just that 52 of got caught and arrested.

  • @BakuraHeart and 52 ppl had break-ins because of this..lol

  • Now That I know how to unlock that system, How about you show us how to take care of the Tanks, Helicopters, Hounds and that Fully Armored Guard...

  • which episode pls? ^^

  • yup gov wants to have all our prints for a reason

  • @MrSwanley..can u explain in a more simpler way? :D

  • @feverNpain999 He is saying that people who buy the system will be pissed off if the system denies them entrance even though they input the right code and have the right finger print. However people will not care as much if they input the right code but don`t have the right finger print as long as they can get in. Pretty sure.

  • @MrWhatwatwut Pretty much correct, but I meant it in a less clinical sense. In an engineering project like this the pressures are all in one direction. Thieves do not complain that the door was too easy to pass, clients WILL complain loudly if the door blocks entry to legit users. Human nature does the rest. In practice the fingerprint reader is an unnecessary sales gimmick anyway: the PIN code plus a nearby guard is the real security.

  • haha epic lock...

the manufacturer haven't lie, it has never been broken

cos it's its original shitty desgin! and they sell them to dumbies

  • I bought a sophisticated security system for my home, paid over $10,000. for it. Somebody stole the motherfucker.

  • either the security lock sucks monkey balls, or mythbusters have actually found a way to break it

  • well now people know how to break into someones apartment THANKS MYTHBUSTERS!! ;D lol

  • mythbusters is a great show. never miss it.

  • I'm never gonna buy one of those ever.

  • "The manufacturer says that fingerprint system has NEVER been broken."

Well of course they said that! Are you really fucking surprised? What should they have said? "Oh that's been broken a couple of times but don't worry it's still safe, trust me."

  • see all mythbusters episodes for free @

    mythbustermovies . tk

  • That company which makes the locks has 47 accounts on YouTube!!!

  • @TheZaim199 Its better to say that, the company had 47 employees which made the finger print lock; thus they got sacked.

  • Comment removed

  • when in doubt lick your way out

  • "that hes gonna place onto his warm sweaty pulsing....."

    me: WTF???

    "thumb"

    me: ohhhh ok

  • worlds first beat in TV ... but the thiefs knowing it befor

  • That's You'r broblem!

  • hey u guys like mythbusters??? check out our hilarious mythbusters parody and see if a booty can jiggle infinitely in zero gravity!

  • every company that bought one of those security doors must of got their money back?? A piece of paper beat a state of the art security door!! wow. embarrissing, i bet the company that produce the doors were so confident aswell. What kind of tests did they do before selling it?? None apparently

  • Adam is like Mike Tyson...... one of the most unintentionaly funniest persons on the planet!!

  • HE DIDN'T SAY BUSTED!!!

  • @samergalall It irked me too!

  • my locker at school has better security then that

  • Its pretty hard to get a really good photocopy of a fricken finger print but yeah it was absurd that it workled on the door

  • you're better off using a combination lock

  • where can i watch the full episode?

  • @Bawbster1 Trolling troll is trolling.

  • @Bawbster1 Well, you know, offending the nation is something you should be afriad of, especially if they are your pay check and future of your show

  • @Bawbster1

MythBusters tests cantripy-type-things/silly things not controversial/conspiracy theory things. Why don't you test them?

  • @Bawbster1 Type in Adam savage from MythBusters interviewed by reddit and the first question he answers is about why he cant.First "You don't bite the hand that feeds you" and secondly he says he would need two towers to test it.So unless Discovery is willing to rebuild the world trade center two towers, probably multiple times, to have them be blown up with different methods, they would not be able to come to a conclusion or know just exactly if they could come down with just a plane or bombs.

  • Thx for teaching the perverts how to break into my house when im having sex!!!

  • @AeroDurbanite

    LMAO!!! XD btw. hi

  • Chuck norris beat The Lock without touching it

  • chuck norris beat 2 of those doors with 1 roundhouse kick.

  • @southerner343 shut up kid

  • i bet they wish they never even tried to test this with there locks.

  • I have a great idea for an episode...

  • The mythbusters crew set off 1000 pounds of thermite to see if they could cut a car in half. To see how they did, see my video:

    Incendiary Experiments

  • All of the methods work on optical sensor only

  • This is why you have redundant security features these sorts of things, most notably security guards.

A clever thief may get past one security feature in three days. When the same thief has to deal with several security features at once, he won't even bother.

  • Is this patched?

  • As an engineer working in a not too different field, I think I understand what happened here. The thing is that nothing pisses off a client more than lots of false negatives, by which I mean admittance is refused to a legit person. False positives are less important because almost everybody who tries the door will be legit. Hence the "acceptance threshold" will be weighted towards being tolerant: fine until some third party does an embarrassing test like this...

  • @MrSwanley so it works by preventing it works

  • @MrSwanley I don't understand how this myth can be considered busted since they had to acquire a photocopied thumbprint. This is not easily obtained I would think.

  • @wtfdudenotcool101 Not sure why you are addressing that to me. I didn't address the issue of whether the myth was busted or not, I only addressed the issue of why the engineering practicalities of a technology like this might cause it to be (to a layman) surprisingly easy to beat. Ditto for similar technologies such as face recognition, average speed road cameras etc. In any case the same show demonstrated one way to obtain a thumbprint, which was quite legit in my opinion.

  • @wtfdudenotcool101 well they had to get grants thumb print by stealing it from him in the full episode and then they did some stuff to it to get a good finger print.

  • @wtfdudenotcool101 they just need to have something he touched. Not too hard, dude.

  • @MrSwanley dont understand anything...

  • @MrSwanley Oh so true. Happens with computers too, except a certain company can't really do either.

Ya, I'd hate to be the company of that security device right after this show! Talk about a drop in stock!

  • @MrSwanley what's great/sucks is that people will actually use this method to steal. So know you're going have to come up with a way to stump them.

  • @MrSwanley Well spoken

  • That lock got pwned lol.

  • The reason these locks have never been broken is because none ever tried to... except of MythBusters ahahaha.. #FAIL

  • when i did the experament for my freind we lifted the print right off the scanner.

it scared the shit out of him car rims and stereos are big money.

and he was going to trst this crappy lock.

mentalisim only works on the willing or the dumb.

trust me i have pissed off a couple of magicians :)

thats why i like jimmy and adam they showed multiple tests and explained why things worked or not. the new guys dont and fudge the line between myth and missinformation

  • a pass code is in a persons mind and on a well covered panel is imposible to see.

and if there are multiple codes it prevents button wear.

a fingerprint is easy to obtain a little thing called dust and tape.

  • @defzonoc

A pass code is in a persons mind..

Which is why "mentalism" and "social engineering" exist, also this fun thing, economics and computing people love it, we call it "statistics". Pass code is easier than a random 4 digit pin, especially with a limited amount of tries.

  • but they need the finerprint. It is harder to obtain the finerprint than a regular key.

    So i prefer fingerprint security

  • @wertyuyullo

Actually getting someones fingerprint isn't _that_ hard. If you want one hard enough then it's not that hard to get a hold of one. Theoretically of course, I'd never do anything like this. :P

  • Watch My Full MythBusters Episode =D

    /watch?v=WIPTxWc96gk

  • time for some re-calls

  • this should make people wonder 3 things.

1:how much time is realy put into R&D

    2:are the claims even tested?

3:is more money or a brandname even worth it?

that lock is one of the most expensive and from one of the most major brands and they claimed it cant be broken and they said it was tested heavily.

and lookat it it was beat by a photo copy!

that is the proof thanks to this it saved my freind wastd money.

he got a demo i showed him this show we repeated it worked!

    thats science

  • thanks guys! not that i just succeeded in any heist and saying thanks is not incriminating and saying that i am guilty of that so called incident that i may be suspected of... :l

  • I think Jamie mentioned that the manufacturer of one of those fingerprint devices sued them even though they didn't mention them by name.

  • ah the old finger fiddlers eh...

  • YES they can open the door with those tricks, but WHAT IF the system was for it to work in a way as far as let the "tricky intruder" gets inside and once the door closed you'll be trapped in the room like no way out???!! LOL

  • @Prinzomniac

you just changed what you were talking about before and made a similar but new topic

  • @ExtremeColdBlizzard What were I talking about, what did I change? What I said was what if the trick won't work from inside to get out of the room. Borrowing the Mark Twain's quote "it is easier to stay out than get out" lol

  • @Prinzomniac

well first you were saying that the makers of the show are hobbyists and arent qualified to make conclusions, their methods are flawed, using sarcasm to say that they want to look smart on TV, etc.

then you said hmm its hard to get outside when your in right?

quite a big change i think.

  • @ExtremeColdBlizzard WOW you must have mistaken me with some other guy because I never said that LOL

  • @ExtremeColdBlizzard I just scanned the comments, and it was PLISKEN12 who said that, not Prinzomniac :)

  • Wow, now millions will have to buy new doorknobs, one company down-- another one gaining millions. Lol! XD

  • You hear that??? That's the sound of the manufacture's company being drivin into the ground

  • @PLISKEN12 Science zealots are every bit as bad and nuts as religious zealots!

  • @PLISKEN12 Lets examine your complaint. It may not be a peer-reviewed journal BUT: they gave you their method & materials, and you SAW the results video-taped. Given the nature of the show it's very unlikely to be a hoax, and sure it's a small dataset, but it clearly demonstrates that it IS possible (their point). Please provide further substantiation troll.

  • @PLISKEN12 Actually they are quite qualified to make these conclusions, both of them have tons of experience in various fields, as well as both hold master degrees in engineering. They are not actors, and have never attended any sort of acting school... they are true scientists. Do some research first idiot

  • @Beethoven1111 who r u mythbusters resident bitch? who has a masters degree in engineering. looks like grant is the only one w/ a degree in engineering(electrical) the others some other degree. still dont make them qualified to make reliable claims.. u make ur research and show me dimwit !

  • lol think about how the people that made the lock go homewhat do they say

  • y did the alarm keep going off?

  • @donnellyadam14 Because they didn't know the code. The print opens the door, the code disables the alarm I think.

  • Well THERES your problem! lol

  • Cmon a print out...hahahhaha and its unbreakable...the lock company needs a new marketing team

  • @Etacarlito Good meat me in 10 mins.

  • @mrbiofan12 you mean meet

  • @Feshman117 You know i told you where last night by the hookers.

  • mfw the paper copy opened the lock :D

  • man, i bet that manufacturers stock plummeted after this.. poor poor multi-millionaire.. :(

  • Thanks now i can rob a bank.

  • I don't get why so many people watched this... are they all aspiring safe-crackers?

  • @Gzaerix lol. why did you watch it then?

  • horrible video - it only encourages terrorists

  • @eldamus: Ignorance is never a good safety mechanism. To qualify the video as horrible just because one of the potential watchers might use the information in illegal ways is to miss the point completely. I for once, liked to see the video so I know I would not trust anything to such a kind of lock.

  • @MrSoulwat BUSTED

  • so basically if you have this lock and you've being chased by rabid dogs for 2 miles (i'm in high school cross country) your screwed.

  • myth:women have rights

  • @MrSoulwat thats plausible

  • Well there's your problem!
