I've always loved the first Genesis Lp with it's Moody Blues meets The Zombies "Oddysey & Oracle"(sic) feel, and one of the best things I liked about it was it's orchestration, something perfectly captured here! Cheers!
Funny how a bunch of 16 yr olds could write this stuff. I mean like, not bad ..Perhaps that is part of what makes this my fave G album. Wonderful rendition Gardenwall07!!!
I wouldn't say it's "MY" favorite Genesis album but it's better than Trespass in some ways. I prefer the 1971 to '75 era but I do appreciate these very young lads making a record deal just buy a tape that was given to Jonathan King... in what 1968.
Unbelievable! This performance shows how beautiful and melodic the first Genesis album was - hope you come to the UK one day! Thanks for posting this! Lead singer sounds SO like Pete in the early days!
This is beautiful. I've always loved this album. Hard to believe that in this age that someone had the good taste to cover these songs. Wish I could have been there in person. Thanks for posting this.
Chris Stewart played drums on this one, now he's living in a lost "cortijo" (farmhouse) in Andalucia. This is life at its most hazardous! You did an excellent job, it sounds just like the original. Five stars for this silent sun.
As I still can´t post a comment (I don´t know why) here it is:
