Hey man. Just a couple quick questions

1. What type of connections in the back are there?  Can you add more speakers if you want?

2. And can you easily lengthen the wires without having to cut in the middle? Basically, is there a custom plug on the end of the speaker wire?

when the groove or z groove is on its loud but bass dosent sound that when its not on grove the speakers shake way more but sounds so much better then when groove is on try it

Hey, I just got this sound system and I've tried connecting my phone, iPod and laptop to the 3.5mm audio jack on the hi-fi but no sound is coming out. i've clicked the audio button on the front but it still seems to stay silent, any help?

@bauersluvslax Next to the jack there is a little switch saying "MIC LEVEL" make sure that is set to the right volume, and it should work. To high and it will distort, To low and it will be too quiet.

heya guys im thinking of buying this but i wanted to ask a few Q's b4 buying..

1) iv got the ipod touch 8gb (3rd gen) so can i connect it via the usb or is there any other way??

2) can i connect it 2 my TV ..I have a sony 32 inch but its one of those old boxes (large ones lol) not a lcd or anything...and will the cables be supplied for this???

3)can I play audio casettes (them old tapes in this) thanks

Hey truckergamer.

First of all. the ipod touch does not work with this system through usb, but you can connect it through the audio ports in the hifi if you have the right cables (cables sold separately)

Yes you can connect this system to your tv with the right cables if you have audio outputs on your tv(cables sold separately)

And yes, you can play cassettes on this system, there is a casette player at the top of the hifi.

Hey, yes some versions of the IPod do work though USB with this system, but some do not, e.g. IPod Touch does "not" work though USB with this system.

I am not sure of all the versions that do and don't work with this system.

The bass is fairly good but the sound quality of the GT444 is not good at all...I bought one, but the old Panasonic AK44 (8 years old) has like 50% better sound quality....sure the bass of the gt444 is great, and even at max volume the sound isnt distorted, but theres something missing...Ou and the 450W RMS???cmon

Had a funny time buying this.

Had JVC, but blew my sub.

Went to Comet, they had it on display at £169... then the guy in the shop was like, woah this should be £199 when I took it to the till.

Went to Asda... £125!

Bargain.

And sub only get's bassy at like, volume 20 i.m.o

Great system, wish I could remove the metal grills and watch the excursion better =D

hi,

1. if you mean the cables that feed the speakers, then no, you don't need to get better cables for them.

2. Yes you can connect these up to your pc, if you have the right cables to do it, jack to jack cables to connect to the microphone port, or a jack to jack cable and an adapter to connect to the audio ports.

The only difference between the MHC-GT222 and the MHC-GT444 is the fact that this one has an addicional sub-woofer? I'm planning to buy the MHC-GT222 model but i'm just wondering if the sub it's worth buying. Please share your opinion with me.

Well, these speakers without the subwoofer are bassy and good sound anyway, is it the bass your looking for, the sub just gives the extra thump to it, if your using it for a small room (like mine), then i don't think its worth it, but i like bass so thats why i have it :P

The only difference between the MCH-GT444 and the MCH-GT222, is that the Unit (Amp) is different, and like you said the additional Sub.

Just a quick question, I am thinking of buying this item, but I am looking for a system that has a sleep timer function, and that I can use to wake me up in the morning (i.e. has a play timer) also. After a bit of research, other sites claim that this system doesn't have these functions, but the instruction manuals I have seen online indictate that it does. I was wondering if anybody could tell me which is the case. Many thanks.

alright mate, 450 watts RMS is the only one you should pay attention to.

the other one is 750 watt total music power which is a reading of how loud the music 'sounds' making it not a very accurate reading.

Hi, at 0:24 i put the volume upto 15, (halfway), becasue the system can go up to 30 (max), but there's also somthing called Z-Grooze that makes a more powerful bass and sound, in otherwords "louder"!
