Now I'm not by any means saying Kindomofcarts ways of beating people fast on Punch out don't work and you should do things my way. Please for the love of god start things of the way Kindomofcarts says to. I'm just saying that on Honda 2 if you get to the point where he dodges your stars after your gutter blows save them for when you get him on his uppercuts and hooks after you've hit him in the face once. And I'm just telling you how when and how to counter his bonzi attacks.

But then again I haver never really tried to counter one of Honda 2's bonzi attacks with a left blow. Also keep in mind that if you knock down Honda 2 on a bonzi attack he will not get up. And the gutter blow star thing will only work on Honda 2 for so long after his first maybe at times even second bonzi attack. When that time period is up, Honda 2 will dodge your star uppercuts so you will have to use them on him right after you dodge his uppercut/hook and hit him in the face once.

so when he does do his bonzi attack if your eyes are fast enough wait till after his first forward hop then hit him right in the chest and he will usually go down or you could just wait till the moment right when you hear the woo woo roo rot or what ever should warns you Handa is going for his bonzi attack to throw a blow to his gut. And for me the right blow seems to work the best because Handa 2 begins all his bonzi attacks with a right punch.

Now I'm going to give out some tips for people like me who aren't as good at the game on Piston Honda 2. If your like me and can't get 2 stars out of Honda 2 before he goes into his first attack of 3 jabs followed by an upper cut (note honda 2 does this sequence every time after you knock him down and he gets back up) I'm pretty sure you can't knock him down before he does his bonzi attack.

Then after that sadly our NES broke down and we up graded to SNES and since then I never have been able to get past Soda Popinski even with game genie. But since I've seen your great strategies I have been able to beat honda 2 and for the first time ever Soda Popinski without cheating (come on how doesn't think game genie is cheating).

you know my brother and I owned the Mr. Dream version of this game when I was 9 years old and before are shitty NES (nes is a good system it just doesn't last that long) broke down all we could do was get to soda popinsiki if we were lucky and with game genie + the codes of infident continues, infident hearts, and infident stars one time I got lucky and got to Bald Bull 2 and the best I could do against him was 1 knock down.

only thing he is wrong about is the fighter who yields the most possible points...Bull 1 can give the most points, with the world record being around 35000. The WR for Tiger is I believe 24000.

Man I would love to see that strategy. High score strats are so hard because sometimes you need to get knocked down to let your opponent regain health and even stretch it to the third round.

I totally believe I'm wrong here. It would take A TON of practice figuring out everything to get a high score on any fighter.Much harder than a fastest time.

I keep tapping up, and pressing A on the gutter punches, but Honda keeps blocking on every other gutter punch, which wastes time, and lets him do a move before i could get the fifth gutter punch in after the uppercut.

although i will say that i personally enjoy beating the fighters by countering their signature moves. isn't that what made the game special as a kid? but i guess you've discovered another layer of depth to the game.

I am so fucking pissed off.. I've spent so long on these gutter punches only to have HIM NOT FUCKING COME UP AT 1 AFTER THE SECOND KNOCK DOWN.

I can get him to 55 seconds now the second time.. but he COMES UP AT THREE EVERY TIME... EVERY FRIGGEN TIME.

Never happened to me. Are you playing Honda 2 or 1? Honda 1 gets up on 1 after the 1st knockdown; Honda 2 up on 1 after the 2nd.

Hah - of course you can. This is a visualization of most of the strategies invented by you guys anyway. I was particularly proud of this one because I came up with the consistency in it, so it's a good stepping stone, but, as you know, he'll go at :50 or less with enough practice.

I got this down pretty quick except.. both times i did it all successfully, I knocked him down the 2nd time at :59, and he got back up and didn't even do his special move at all. :)

Nice. That's a tech I didn't really cover. I wanted to focus on getting him down before the attack, because he can be KOed so easy during it.

But you can stop the attack altogether every time using this method.

Perhaps you didn't notice the theme here is that he is working through the fighters in the order in which you face them in the game.

In other words, Soda Pop will be next and then the rest of the fighters including Bald Bull 2.

Force a punch, pretty much at any time, by jabbing. Follow with a delayed body-blow. That'll get you a star every time. Should get you started.
