I dont know where to start, Roger Waters is the main composer of Floyd, he practically (notice I didnt say completely) wrote The Wall himself, he was the one that wrote more for the band than any other and he has a succesful solo career. Sure he doesnt recognize David for what he is, and thanks to him few do. Still David Gilmour isnt Pink Floyd, that kind of statement would only apply to Waters himself. Im not saying Gilmour is bad, Im saying Waters is a better composer.

Its a Strat with "Humbucker" pickups by the way, the kind often seen in Gibson guitars.

David was always the VOICE of Pink Floyd -- so clean and clear; just amazing. Rick Wright was also a great singer ... perfect for shared vocals with David. Roger sang well on only some of the relatively few songs he did sing. On "Mother" Roger sounded great -- David sounded better. Why is this guy wailing so hard on his guitar like that? Putting one's own spin on something does not always work, but then again, no one but David could ever do these songs justice -- or play the way David does!
