  • OK SO IF THERE IS A NEWS CAST AND 3 PEOPLE SEEM TOTALLY AGREEING WITH THE GUY FROM MPP BUT THERES THIS ONE OLD DUDE THAT DOESNT? LMAO YEAH PEOPLE WE ARE GETTING CLOSE... THERE IS A NEW GENERATION ENTERING OUR GOVERNMENT AND ITS TIME FOR CHANGE OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW AND REALISTIC

  • My initials BS IS, MCT, MCSE, CIW, A+, NET+, Master MOUS and I have two other AAS Business Admin and Real Estate Sales. I have always worked for myself and my current computer business has been going for 10 yrs. I was BONGED OUT before, during, and after school and studies. I have worked many times more than 60hrs in a week. The only way to I could do all of that was to be high. Lazy useless people may like pot but that does not mean pot caused them to be lazy and useless! LEGALIZE IT NOW!!

  • medicinally it is going to be pretty much nation - wide....but you can not smoke pot while walking down the street...any more than you can drink a bottle of booze and walk down the street...getting caught in a school or around a school is going to result in infinetly more harsh punishment.....you keep it in your house. PERIOD...the NAVY is FIRST in line, PERIOD.

  • Responsibility is the answer to abuse..

  • Because "dope" is slang for a lesser drug...

when DOPE is ACTUALLY Crystal Meth..

  • Just the money saved from ending prohibition of Marijuana could be put towards fighting harder drugs that do do damage people's lives. The whole gateway thing is usually because a lot of "shady" dealers don't just deal in marijuana and may offer the hard stuff or even give out free samples to hook people in. Marijuana doesn't hurt people, prohibition and drug test discrimination towards responsible marijuana smokers does.

  • @Zalnar

the gateway thing is the only reason people have to hate marijuana, knowing what we know now, and is the only reason it is still used.

  • you can't wake someone who's pretending to sleep. marijuana being illegal is like making water illegal, it make absolutely no sense. But if water were illegal, gatorade and pepsi would be making more money, right? and they could advertise on TV more, right? So the news doesn't want to loose these sponsors if they want to make money, right? And if you tell ppl that something was bad for their entire life, since childhood, wouldn't you be able to turn a lie into a truth? i call, show ur cards

  • wow, aaron could have owned that old guy when he started talking about the addictiveness, being a gateway drug and that it makes you lazy. but he just let the guy get away with it. ppl are so misinformed about weed and aaron had a chance to school him

  • lol just legalize it already whats the hold up

  • and why is she answering the pot questions that the guy from MPP should? WTF

  • That lady looks a little up tight to be on TV.

  • Cannabis is LESS addictive than several legal drugs including coffee. Legalizing it because it's going to bring in a few bucks is simply what has pushed it over the edge towards legalization, and is not the main reason for making it so. Drug prohibition being a complete failure, and the hypocrisy behind it are the main reasons. Why doesn't anybody bring industrial hemp jobs into the argument ?, or the fact that countries that have legalized it are doing much better keeping kids away from it.

  • Agreed 100 percent. The question of legalization is a no brainier once you see the facts/evidence. The pros outweigh the cons.

  • THAT is how aaron should have answered the question

  • IF I HEAR ANOTHER MARIJUANA PUN FROM ONE OF THESE NEWS SHOWS I'M GUNNA SNAP!!!. i mean " high hopes" and " here's the dope" come on!!!

  • Quit whining, when she said here's the dope she was reffering to the Blonde..... Right? LOL m8 I know what you are saying.

  • just legalize it already...

  • WOW that is a amazing roll

  • The media has got to get over the puns. Seriously, you're not clever and you make youselves look like idiots who can't take their job seriously.

  • FREE MARC EMERY !!!

  • the dope on dope? ...

  • lazy people are lazy with or without pot!

  • I don't want phillip morris coming in and putting shit into my pot to make me addicted to it, look at all the chemicals they put in cigarettes, you don't think they would do that? just watch, let me grow my own, and let me smoke my own. If I sell it without the proper paperwork, sure I deserve a fine otherwise, fuck off and leave me alone.

  • I don't wan't to brew my own beer nor do I wan't to grow my own pot.

In all honesty people need to take a hard look at marijuana. Non-smokers and smokers need to use facts.

    God made this plant.

  • Keep on clinging to that gateway theory...

Here's some similar logic: Some pedophiles have mustaches. Every pedophile has a mustache. Everyone with a mustache is a pedophile.

We must therefore make mustaches illegal

  • Yeah, FUCK mustaches...

No, seriously, just grow enough for yourself.

One 400watt lamp is enough for personal use...

  • For responsible people, Pot is harmless..end of story. The 'marijuana war' is a government bussiness that trickles down to local government. BULLSHIT!!....My nieghbor is just as inclined to huff gas, robotrip, develop meth with household items....BULLSHIT!!...enough is enough..And John J. Government isnt tellin me whats good/bad for me anymore. The facts are in, the numbers are obvious..Pot can very well help the robbery/deficeit these fucks pulled on our descendants through banks...Fuck em!!

  • that old asshole with glasses dont have any idea about this fuckin ignorant...

    LEGALIZE IT !!!

    greetings from Spain

  • the entire world is watching you california! most european countries won't budge before america makes the first step (sad but true). VOTE YES! best of luck, lithuania supports you!

  • The old guy on the right, at the end, says he is skeptical 5:28 . I think that explains the general feelings of a majority of those in opposition of legalization, versus prohibition.

I think that is a very natural, and acceptable response.

However, it is that exact reason that we need legalization, in at least one state, for a minimum of 5-7 years. That way we solve all the questions regarding the social, as well as financial repercussions.

VOTE YES California! The world is watching you.

  • Just the revenue from hempoil to make diesel would amount to over 100 billion dollars what would that do for Ca's money woes?

  • alcohol is the number 1 killer of ALL illicit drugs combined.

  • NOT alcohol but CIGARETTES are nr 1 killer with about 5 million deaths each year in the world!!!Remember that!!

  • @bedwoj1000 illicit drugs was the point

  • I Know, but Cigarettes (NOT alcohol) are nr 1 killer of ALL drugs combined (legal like alcohol, and illegal like everything else)...

  • I hate how everyone talks about pot making people lazy. but when i got high i would workout every other day and on the days i didn't workout i would skate.

  • If alcohol should be legal, marijuana should be legal. There is no logical way around that. Marijuana is safer than alchohol. That is a medical fact.

The lame ass correlational study people use to argue that marijuana is a gateway drug shows that alcohol is even more of a gateway drug.

It is really frustrating to watch pro-legalization people go on talk shows and not know how to argue the point. Folks, learn how to argue the stuff before you go on television and try doing it.

  • I'm not lazy, it take hard work and time to find good bud.

  • Larry King really needs to do some serious research and learn to have an open mind about it, rather then just assuming people are going to be lazy and constantly high.

He was probably never even high before to even know the true effects of marijuana.

He doesn't understand what these people were talking about. Instead, he just sticks with his stubborn, un-educated view. Maybe if he listens to them a little better and does some research, he'll understand how much sense legalization makes.

  • It's amazing how I'm going to be a witness of the legalization of Cannabis.

  • legalization in 2010

  • 50 buck an ounce is cheap

  • @cumbersomecow

I think they were saying that the 50 bucks an ounce is just the excise tax and that doesn't include the sales tax and price of it itself. If that's true, then I hope they sell it cheaper than street price, or you might as well just still be buying if off the streets still.

  • aha, i c

  • no what they are saying is 50$ tax oin it not by 50$ an once, it could be 100$ for the once and 50$ tax if you paid attention

  • i love how all the people that make any argument against legalization are either retarded housewives or 90 year old men

  • Big Company's make wine as well but the mass produced shit is always lacking to the connoisseur and to people who like diversity with their cannabis.

Also with Cannabis it has to be highly babied to get perfect beautiful bud its not at all like tobacco outdoor weed cant compare to indoor hydro or indoor soil.

I think weed will remain with tons of different strains with diverse backgrounds and growing styles.

  • I love the premise--Everybody is going to be bonged out that no one will do any work etc etc....Really??? Because with the already legal drug ALCOHOL everybody is DRUNK AS SHIT all over the place fucking up everything...the guys argument is SO STUPID AND FALSE IT MAKES ME SICK.

  • yo fuck ignorance

  • @zmanoside

I know tons of functional stoners i agree completely it makes me fucking want to puke such blatant lies.

I suppose they think a single mother of two who supports both her children and has a full time job is a lazy druggie lol.

  • aaron kept his cool so well while that idiot ran his mouth

  • Zzzz.. yet another stupid stoner joke.

HAHA; YES, WE GET IT, EVERYBODY WILL BE STONED LOLOLOLOL haha LAUGHT IT UP all the way to jail and bankruptcy.

  • I think if it was legalized it would actually slow down hard drug use. because a drug dealer selling weed to a kid isn't gonna think twice about selling them something harder. but when you make it legal you almost completely separate it from that environment

  • I really wish they would stop saying "dope". Dope is heroin. It's just another way that the prohibitionists can try to link benign marijuana with dangerous drugs. They can't be compared at all.

  • making it legal is not going to make everyone lazy smokers, its not addicitive, its not a gateway drug, everyone already smokes in cali, they just want it legal... like the rest of us

  • Indeed, pot isn't a gateway but prohibition is. You go see a weed dealer and and can be offered other things but legalisation will reduce that happening.

The gateway thing is just old fart think.

  • agreed

  • to even say that people are gonna be lazy is just stupid. the lazy people that smoke weed were probably lazy to begin with.

  • Yeah man,if some loser fucks up and blames it on weed he's just using that as an excuse to fail.

I'm a Brit and we have no similar lobby group like the MPP,just the lca,the legalise cannabis alliance and they are the biggest bunch of loser jerkoffs you could imagine, totally fit the stoner stereotype. We've no provisions for med weed AT ALL so things are getting better for you but your drug testing policies for work are fucking awful, really no human rights for just smoking a spliff.

  • haha forreal i gotta wait a month till i get a job. i cant tell you how many interviews i skipped cause they asked me to drug test

  • Aw man I feel for you bro,how awful to have to dance around that,1 joint in a month can hang you.and you have all these testing programs on leaving prison, I mean this is 1984 big brother control!

  • Old Fart on the right, give him pipe and some booze and rocking chair and Shut his mouth up,

  • legalize weed!!!!

it is not harmful and not addictive! i think it would also get rid of a lot of crime

  • I love how she stomps on the expert's reply in order to say, "I'm not an expert, but..."

  • 3:42 i see what he's saying. thats exactly why my friend who smokes pot b4 work every day got employee of the month five times in a row.

  • @BigBlackMac

ha idk any work that still gotta employe of the month

  • About that guy on the far right hand side of the screen... Are you serious? You're OK with alcohol being legal but pot is bad???? Really??? Please educate yourself!!

  • Wow, yes that guy on the far right is soooo full of the reefer madness syndrome. "The gateway effect, addiction level, makes people non-productive". All of his arguments are lies out of prohibition. I smoke after work instead of drinking to unwind. And I have been working the same job for 30 years! I prefer it to drinking, it is safer. There are responsible and un-responsible drinkers! Same with Cannabis and many things! Prohibition does not work!

  • you mean Cannabis? let's try decriminalization first, and getting things "more our way" would be easier, believe it! oh, and Cannabis has WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more health benefits than wine ever could, and it really doesn't change "your reality," per se.... "'America' would be bombed out" my ass ~ what about all the functioning alkies who risk running someone over everyday, douchebags?

FREE EDDY LEPP, CHARLES LYNCH and MARC EMERY [and from extradition]; and SUPPORT JACK HERER and RICK SIMPSON!!!!

  • i am so tired of hearing that this is a gateway drug. if you want proof look at all the med patients that receive marijuana. what is the perc. that does harder drugs? my guess is low

  • Then why isn't Phillip Morris in Amsterdam? And the press needs to educate themselves b4 they put crap out that is something that has been a part of the big lie about marijuana to keep it illegal. The people have been lied to for so long they think it's the truth. Get the pot out of the criminal control and you lose the violence that it a part of it, just like when they decided to legalize alcohol again then gang crap went away.

  • this is very kafkaesque? what retardism. Clearly every country where marijuana is either decriminalized or grows wildly productivity is higher than in the united states. Also clearly if alcohol is legal everyone is going around bombed out drunk because its addictive (based on the UN health organization's tenets on what is an addictive drug alcohol is and cannabis isn't) and even still everyone doesn't get bombed out drunk.

  • douchebag on the right

  • his name is larry kudlow and yes, he is a douchebag...

  • people need to learn that screaming louder (esp. in american news broadcasts) doesn't make you right

  • The guy on the right is a real idiot!! Kudlow? YOU ARE AN IDIOT GET EDUCATED!!

  • The guy over 60 is against legalization, which is par for the course. He's dumb as a stump, and knows nothing about cannabis. The gateway drug has been disproven years ago!!

  • Who the hell is this idiot? Go get yourself educated in the topic and quit spewing this Reefer Madness Bullshit!

  • Good luck Californians !!

  • FREE MARC EMERY !!!

  • The wine guy is right. We already do refer to marijuana by strain and region, especially if it's good weed.

  • Every single motherfucking time there has to be a reporter that brings up the same old worn-out arguments against legalizing. Every single one of his points can be brought against alcohol, but you can be sure as hell none of these people would consider proscribing such a substance...

  • for the love of god. what the hell is that music they're playing in the background? Must be a wild party going down by the water cooler.

  • fuck that legalization for world peace ron paul in 2012 legalize all drugs then we'll have drug stores for real

  • Mr. Smith needs to slam a couple of Red Bulls or something.

    Gateway? You let that slide?

Decreased production in the workforce? That too?

    WTF?

Decent comment at the end though.

  • That guy is an idiot! Just because its legal does not mean people are going to go to work stoned, and lay around not doing anything. They will just have to treat it like they do alcohol. And the whole "gateway drug" stuff is just a bunch of bull shit to me. If people want to do differnt kinds of drugs they are going to no matter what drug they start doing first.

  • I used to stay with 13 friends in a huge house, we were all big tokers and smoked non stop most nibhts - 6 of them worked as teachers; the rest a mix of financial advisers, lawyers, accountants & an engineer - and we all held our jobs down, got promoted etc. Yet were were all 'bonged out' all the time!

    That guy knows fuck all.

And besides soem so called 'harder' drugs are good! I love Acid, E, Speed & Charlie is good on special oaccasions. Not 1 of us got addictd to anything or in trouble

  • Foreal thats what Im talking about! I have been smoking weed since I was 13 (im now 24)and if it wasnt for weed I dont think I would have been able to finish school cuz it was the only thing that helped me pay attention.

And yet I still havnt takin any "harder" drugs to this day cuz im ok with the high that weed gives me, and I dont think I ever will

  • @jennybenny5, you're not alone. 60% of all illegal drug users, use cannabis only. The idea that pot smokers try harder drugs is a myth.

  • @TheSkinzilla Indeed, the Gateway theory has been debunked over and over. Alcohol has been shown to be the biggest factor in using hard drugs.

I urge everyone to watch The Union: The Business Behind Getting High

  • @pookeysama, watched it and now I own it. Incredible documentary.

  • @thenewvoice8, the problem is that there's not enough lawyers, teachers, financial advisors, etc. coming out of the closet and admitting their marijuana use. Most people against legalization think of pot smokers as dumb and lazy. I know lots of moral, intelligent, hardworking people that smoke pot, yet refuse to admit it to their parents/coworkers/relatives/government representative.

  • what an idiot that guy the pot is already there the people that are smoking will still smoke and due to clinics of course they would say that it is a gateway drug because they would be out of business 97% of the people that are told to take cannabis detox or whatever are made to go or go to jail so if they did not have those options then the people would not be there they would be home getting baked like we all schould

  • cannabis is not dope unless alcohol or tobacco is dope

  • god damn aron smith has owned SO much ass with this KEEP IT UP!

  • omg, the old moralist..

  • we want legal weed!

  • Legalize It!

  • Kill? a lot of these idiots dont know nothing bout weed

  • he was talking about the drug traffickers. drug traffickers kill, the plant doesn't and he knows that. it's an mpp guy ffs

  • People who want to smoke cannabis already do it regardless of law. And people dont get "bonged out" unless they do it constantly. But the same could be said of alcohol abuse which is far more dangerous. LEGALIZE IT

  • This Aaron Smith is a total lump. We need somebody a little more articulate and persuasive and like-able speaking for us. This Aaron Smith will make viewers think that weed makes you s-l-o-w...

  • who is this old terd....does he know what he is talking about?????DUH

  • "I'm so sceptical that legalising marijuana would have a net positive effect"

Well, that all depends on the costs and revenues you're willing to accept between the current situation and the potential legalised situation.

  • that old guy is a tool ..

  • "here's the dope" ????

  • Legalize it!

  • Aaron houston would crush this guy

  • Legalize it

  • ugh i dont like this mmp guy, hes not assertive enough

  • At least the old guy will be dead soon. :]

  • I would happily pay taxes and make this county the most profitable in the state. Too bad I live in one of the most backwards, inbred, right wing, ignorant states in the entire country.

  • I don't support regulation and taxation of it.. but I guess that's better than it being illegal.

  • that guy on the end is an idiot

  • i agree, hes an incredible idiot

  • There are weed-oholics just like there are alcoholics. Just because a few will use all day everyday, the majority will use just like wine.

  • That old bastard needs to be fucked in his ass

  • that old guy can go fuck him self back to the 50's

  • shut downnnn

  • lol i'm pretty "bonged out" right now. lol

  • keep it up, niggas :D

  • 4:48 THANK YOU !

that should be the core argument in this debate.

  • Why do they always have to use ridiculous puns for a serious issue?

Everyone "bonged out" on marijuana? Those that want to smoke Cannabis already are smoking it. Just because it becomes legal and regulated does not mean suddenly everyone will smoke.

The public has spoken. End this war on personal choice, take back the market and stop putting non-violent Cannabis smokers in jail!

  • hell yah

  • lol pot doesn't make food taiste better? tell that to anyone who smokes pot and they'll laugh at you. why do you think they call it the munchies.

  • @freaks182

oh hell yeah. try a mc'chicken before and after a bowl. after will change your life..

  • @NiggaBryan

lol nice, i'm a vegetarrian though, so i can't. what taistes really good though is tomato soup and navy beans. well then again, i guess just about anything taistes good when you're stoned lol.

  • The Mc'chicken with cheese....yummy
