  • great clip ,these baby's are still the tops even today...better than the LED Christmas tree lights of today!

  • Also, the bar (if I'm not mistaken) is an 80H or a 90H… the 8000 had strobes.

  • @doranduh ..I used to think the same. But, it says right on the lightbar. 8000 series. It's all orignial off a retired fire apparatus

  • @911caddy Really? That's awfully strange… I'd say take this mystery to the guys on elightbars to see if they know that this is legitimate or if someone just mixed up badges at some point in time.

  • @doranduh . Whelen came out with an improved lense retaining system on the 8000 series in the early 90's. The small retaining clip is miniscule compared to what is on this lightbar. You may be able to see the size diffence on the end of this lightbar? If I can find the time I'll fire off a pic to elightbars :)

  • @911caddy Oh yeah, never noticed that before. Could be an interesting Whelen history topic xD

  • Beautiful old bar, I'd love to have one some day!

  • Would you put this on your Ford Econoline. I Would. Its AUESOME!!!

  • @CBMAwards .. It's not period for my 'ol van... But, I may still do it.

I'm leaning towards the 8000 strobe version as it draws very little in the way of amps. Leaves more to run two electronic sirens :) The strobe bar I have has room for 2 siren drivers.. I'm thinking. Whelen Xecutor and my Power call.
