I hope someone can help me. I bought this thing in 2009 and had no problem with it until very recently. I can no longer upload any files to it be it music photos or whatever. I plug in the USB cable and the device automatically starts charging but it doesnt make the typical sound of a new device being recognized and cant find S3 anywhere. I DO have emodio but it wont work and I cant transfer the files through windows explorer either. thanks in advance

guys i haved a problem with the s3 it can't be detected and now i've soved the problem

and because half of s3 owners have this problem this is how to remediate it

1:download wmp 11 bypassing genuine(search on google and will explain there)

2:install emodio(search something like that s3 software and you'll find it)

3 that's it update driver if it doesnt update automatically and sure it will work

@DarkStaticFlame you have to get the disk that comes with the ipod..download it and that is your like....idk where you synch it onto the ipod with the cord it comes with. then you download ur music, put it in the program and synch it...sorry if this is kinda confusing..... :P

yeah for me battery is not a problem i have something that came with my old gba charger that converts a usb into a plug for the wall or in a car hole thing yeah i don't know were sells them besides gamestop but it's 15 us and you'll also get a gba cord but no one that i know still has one lol it maybe work for ds but if you got a spare 15 you should buy it cause it works on 3 different usb ends

you have to download/install samsung media player 5 or above and then add videos from there. it will convert teh videos into slv format so the player can play it

This is a great little player however mine broke in less than a year. The screen turned white and I can't see a thing. I can still navigate menus but I have to guess what I'm selecting. And the directional buttons don't work. Its was a good player while it lasted.

product is a frickin piece of ship. sync software constantly crashes, has to be shut down using task manager. if you listen to audiobooks files don't line up properly. constant headache tyring to get files to sync correctly

I'm sure you didn't get the best experience out of it, but most players have SOME kind of problem, they're not ALL perfect in EVERY way. But I'm also pretty sure that just cause you had that bad experience, other people didn't. Many people actually love this thing. You can definitely criticize it and point out the bad things about it, but you don't have to start hating on it.

hey man i got the same samsung yp-s3.

so this is what happen. i put songs in my EmoDio and just listen to music and i have it in for a few days. so when i delete the song from emodio, i deleted the file n stuff but the song is stuck in the emodio and the song wont come out of the emodio. but when i delete all the songs, it show all the name of song and it says no file. and the song name is just stuck in their. when i put more song, more song stay suck and wont come out when i deleted it.

I lost my s3 right before a snowstorm in December and I found it today (3 Months Later+)...it had full on water on the LCD screen so I thought I was f_ _ _ ed but I separated the face from the main body (carefully) then I dried it with hot air.....It is playing the song that I was listening to when i lost it! this is a very sleek looking and one of the best sounding mp3 players out there but they don't last long mine started acting up after 6 months the hold button turns on whenever it wants random crashing battery hardly last 4 hours on audio also the right channel stopped working only makes beeping and static sound. ive had allot of good samsung mp3 players but this one was no good but ill be calling samsung for a replacement im hoping mine was just a dud and not all of them are that bad

Emodio doesn't always succed in its conversion.

Google yp-s3 svi, press the first link. Download Any Video Converter. Convert your file to an mp4, and then use emodio to transfer it. Emodio will succeed in converting it. I've spent 3 days trying to transfer i-would-not-steal video that the green party opf my country made. google it. Just typ I wouldnt steal.

if the videos yu want to put on the s3 are small in length the it can be either aiv or mpg if there large then yu need mpg. YU just put the videos in eimdio and transfor. they auto convert to svi samsungs own file

the fast forward is slow at first, but the longer you hold it down it becomes faster and faster. little too fast actually.

the USB connector for mine sucks D, poorly. it keeps messing up data transfers and works only sporadically. when you upgrade to the emodio media manager it gets even worse and the engrish as the emodio site is awkward. with as powerful as a company samsung is you'd think they would spend a bit more time developing their customer service and/or software (it keeps crashing/malfunctioning)...
