As much as I like Mirai, Caroline and Rachael for what they each offer to the table (which they do, each individually bring something beautiful), there is absolutely no hope for medals with our current American ladies. Even if the Japanese and Kim ROYALLY screw up, they can still pull out points beyond what any American skater could ream of (right now, anyway). We're just in a minor slump is all. BUT I still love our skaters!!

I disagree. I don't think ANY US woman has a chance at a medal in Vancouver. Mirai has filled out nicely with Frank Carroll, so if she really transforms this season she would be the strongest USA will have. She already has made tremendous improvement, and her jumps are her friends again. :'-)

Mirai is now working with Frank Carroll, who I'm sure has been working on her underrotation issues, and seems emotionally recharged for the new season.

She has a softness that I love as she moves across the ice (: Her spins look lovely and effortless! I like this program overall; there's something about it that makes me think, "This is Mirai's skating" when I watch it. Good performance, Mirai!

Very promising, Marai will polish this program and it will shine. I liked the quality of the layback into Bielmann combo spin. Her expression is great.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I'm so proud of her! Between Mirai, Ashley and Sasha, with the worthy but not so exciting Rachael making a strong case for the top of the podium, it's going to be a nailbiter.
I dissagree, maybe she needs to sell it more, but this is what Mirai style is (little signature movements) and what makes it Pirates of the Caribbean program
