awesome bike. i just picked up a 1966 yamaha mg1. (same motor) good to see some of the old 80cc bikes still running. soon as i find a working stator ill be back on the road. how fast does your bike go?
@elliot381 Yes, 2-Strokes smoke alot. That's the primary reason there are very few 2-Stroke street bikes sold in the U.S. and Canada these days. It's a shame because they are a lot of fun to ride.

i got my grandpa's 1964 yj2 for christmas but it dosent have a battery. what voltage is it and what size?

The battery is 60volt. The battery I have in mine is a Yuasa 6n2-2 a. You can find them on Ebay. Good luck
