yes. laws might vary a little from state to state, but all i do is go to the gun store or gun show, they call the instant background check hotline (usually takes only 1 minute for me), i pay them and walk out with a new rifle. You just need your ID and a clean background.

There are many factors that can cause a stoppage, poor maintenance being the major one but the ejector could have been damaged or the mag well has expanded through heat and the mag has not seated properly

These rifles are semi versions of the czech Vz 58. Full auto versions never jam, but semi automatic rifles have problems sometimes. They are not newly made, they are modified from full auto rifles, with some parts of mechanism removed and replaced by steel block.

Surprising that it jammed though...AK is supposed to be incapable of jamming no matter what. Probly cheaper-than-dirt east-bloc copy; they aren't worth a shit. Get Yugos, those are good (I think).
