You get infinite life, vehicles respawn in this "war simulation" constantly and you get to pick whatever equipment you want. Also your allowed to fly vehicles even though ground support has stingers. No pilot would ever fly into a battle where the enemy had stingers. Just because in battlefield and you can blow up a wall doesn't mean its realistic and its less realistic than cod in some ways.

What is important in video games?

1. A fully fuctioning spawn system that DOESN"T suck!

2. Gameplay that keeps you coming back (leveling up, unlocks, dlc, custom maps, mods)

3. Graphics and Animations. (Nice to have icing on a cake but not that important. I'll still eat the damn cake no matter what)

4. No camping here! Move along people! Keep the action going!

5. Respawn Times. (Mixed bag. I hate long respawn times myself but look at MW3...fucked up. Good with fixed spawns.

Have you noticed how ridiculously small amount of buildings can actually collapse in Battlefield 3? It feels like they took 90% of the building destruction out from the Bad Company 2 and added some little shit like chipping pillars or raining walls down on the enemies. And of course the undestructible walls all over BF3.

Congratulations, sir! You've done a whole lot of totally unnecessary work here!

What I meant by my comment was that in Bad Company 2 the destruction was maybe a bit less detailed(no chipping pillars or wall pieces) but much more widely implemented than in Battlefield 3. In Bad Company you could level shitload of building. In BF3 it's so rare I tend to forget about it.

Also - believe me, I grew up on Doom, Hexen, Heretic, Duke Nukem and other good oldies.

I actually tend to agree with you on the level of building destruction. That is actually a key part of modern warfare, especially when you're trying to get at something that's hiding behind or underneath a structure.

All bickering aside, I really enjoyed this video AND this game!

Despite the limited destruction I, too, enjoy the game a lot. There's no other shooter that makes you feel like you're in the middle of a real battlefield. The dust, explosions, realistic comms traffic - all these things make Battlefield 3 totally immersing.

Of course, there are more realistic games, but they rarely look so good and entertaining. Battlefield has perfect mix of epic stuff and lightweight realism.
