Dear Springfreetrampoline. What happens if a spectator has their hand between the rods? Many injurys can occur from the twisting motion on the legs at impact of the trampoline.

Part 1 - The Springfree design is THE ONLY alternative trampoline design to the steel perimeter frame + steel coil/straps design that was invented over 70 years ago. Part 2 - The springfree trampoline has been sold worldwide for over 5 years and there has never been report of the type you describe below. But, there have been reports in the public media of breaking trampoline springs taking out childrens eyes, children being impaled on the top of rigid enclosure poles, foam pads failing to cover steel perimeter frames resulting in fractures etc etc.

Part 3 - So, while a competitor may suggest a lot of what-ifs with our product, we think it is more important to focus on the known risks that the traditional trampoline design presents and encouraging parents and caregivers who choose not to purchase a springfree, to at least work to minimize the risks inherent with old-style trampolines.

Part 4 - Finally, I am not quite sure where you are coming from with the twisting motion? Yes, our patented SoftEdgeTM technology moves, but if you actually measure mat edge movement you will see that it is so minimal as not to be discernable. It is roughly equivalent to the movement that the minute hand on an analogue watch (not the second hand) but the minute hand moves over 7 seconds! Try watching that on a watch!

Part 5 - Having said that, all edges of jumping surfaces move as they are deflected. Have you ever looked at the edge of the mat on an old-style trampoline while someone is bouncing?  The mat edge moves in all sorts of directions dependent upon where the point of deflection is occurring.
