  • There was Feigao 380L 4900KV motor, scratch made 100A ESC (built by my friend) and 7SubC NiMH 4200 Intellect Batteries.

this boat has been short (only 500 mm hull) and it was run well on the straight line but some unstable in curves. new 600-650 mm hulls run much better I think. By the way, how much is lenght of Your boat?

I wish You a lucky build!

  • @navixhobby

I just bought a "last original of egon will mono 2" which i want to build up as a mono 1 boat.

    the length is about 65 cm.I already have lipo's (2s 5300mah 30c) and a esc(125A)and a metal gear servo.I'm not sure which motor ...

It should run 6 minutes in a triangle....

  • @gebiena10

it's good size for today power

    I use Lehner 1525 - 7T (KV4900) on my Zardoz Max Mono1now with 6S2P 2300LiFe batteries and 32 mm prop

I tried this motor with 2S LiPo - with lower revolution and bigger prop (35mm) boat was unstable cause bigger torque

But Zardoz have lenght about 60 cm. Your boat longer so it will possible use bigger prop without increasing motor revolution to much. I think You need about 5200KV for this hull and 2LIPO

PS Do You run triangle course by Mono? We run oval

  • @navixhobby

Yes here in Holland mono 1 and 2 run in the 30 mtr. triangle.....

I say the oval is better but i don't make the rules(lol)

In the triangle the speed is not the most important(speed to 50-60kmph)

    the boat has to last for 6 mins+ on 2s or a 4000mah 3s.

perhaps i will go for a outrunner,,,,let you know

    greetzz

  • @gebiena10

    wow!

It's not easy to run this class of boat in triangle - very difficcult to turn each 30m by 120 grad.

may be just easier to set bouys but not run. we run triangle course ECO classes only.

I think for triangle will be better no-step V-hulls like chinese Delta Force - max speed is not to fast but they turns much better practically without lost of speed in curve. pair of these hull was run in last russian champ and looks pretty well.

    have a nice day!
