  • First heard this on Son of Cheap Thrills back in high school. Still cool

  • The stuff that Frank in this style always amazed me because it is quite different from a lot of the stuff he did.

    It is very well written.

Of course it is played with perfection.

  • Why does this sound like I'm listening to the original vinyl on high end equipment through $1000 Grado headphones?

  • @jtpinnyc Because, that's what you can expect from TheZappaDiscography. ;) Thanks for the compliment!

  • This piece of song is a very interesting hybrid between classic, blues, and jazz. Well, Zappa got a philosophy to build music with a interesting experimental criteria.

  • Maybe too many timbres in this one. But ok, there are certainly other magnificent music that came out of his tophat as well. =)

  • yummy!

  • Frank's music never fails to make me wonder upon his genius. He was so different and harmonically unique from what was happening all the time. His music should be placed in a conservatory for future generations to study. Frank, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Bill Evans and others are but a few of our contemporaries that come to mind that have reached that level of musical genius. ...And that's the truth. He had a great career that made people laugh and be in amazement at the same time.

  • i want to hear this song in some old smoky bar in a shady part of town, smokin a small cigar and thinking about stuff

  • Delicious!! One of my first encounters with this genius.

  • for some strange reason this always sounded like a drunk penguin

  • @perkyporkpie - "For some strange reason" is practically a synonym for "because it's Frank Zappa".
