This album started the tumultuous times that only ended in 2000. Adrian had left because he did not like the musical direction Maiden was going in. Janick from Bruce's solo album came in (the fact that Bruce was making solo albums was not a good sign). The past three albums were masterpieces and this one was was a back to basics "fun" album which people did not understand. Bruce changed his vocal style. No song over 6 minutes and the simplistist since the first album.
