I have Mormon friends and it just bothers me because I know they are wrong but does Jesus have grace for them because they think they are worshiping Him or are they condemned for twisting the gospel? @themasadaman - NO the Gospel is the same - both for Jew and Gentile - one Lord, one Spirit, one Baptism, one church. Peter, for example, had to grow in his understanding of this matter and opposed Paul early on - but did come around to full understanding. The Bible is very honest and clear about this.

If one adds ANYTHING to the Grace of God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, it is false doctrine. The entire book of Galatians is devoted to this topic as well as the first 10 chapters of Romans, especially chapter 2.

Defending the faith against all other beliefs with the Bible. I respect people who don't add their own opinions to the interpretation of the scriptures and thus distorting the message. On a personal note, I joined Free Masonry about 12 years ago, I was asked by Bible believing Christians that Masonry is nothing more than brotherhood and helping each other...etc., well as soon as I got to my 3rd degree I started to hear and see things that were NOT Biblical what so ever! @wdjdac No, it wasn't his faith, it was his declaration. Jesus told Peter, "Blessed are you for no man hath revealed this to you, but my father which is in heaven." The revelation of Jesus' identity was that rock. The context clearly tells you, it's not faith that's the rock, but the Jesus' identity being revealed became the foundation for his church. In a simpler term, the foundation of the church was Jesus himself, or his revealed identity.
