Thanks for this video. My 3 yr old son is batteling a stage 4 pediatric liver cancer with metastisis to his lungs. This helps demonstrate to me how the cancer metastisizes.

I wonder if certain genetic mutations in an individuals DNA could be identified and isolated and somehow altered or replaced to cure certain types of diseases like cancer.

In some countries genetics therapy has worked. However, transfecting living cells with new DNA involves the use of engineered virusses, which is somewhat dangerous. It can be done, but there needs to be more research.
