This man really is a genius... the way he comes up with material like that demonstrates a mind who has played millions of classical pieces. Impressive!!

Ingenious. Very pretty, but at the same time it's pretty boring. There is SO much more one could to "Chopinize" this dear old chestnut.
Most of the arpeggiated figures are gratuitous and frankly banal. Chopin would have sprinkled it with the stardust of his distinguished cadenzas. He also would have indulged in daring chromatic modulations, varied the texture more, while taking us through a rainbow of different keys -- and he would have provided a climactic moment sadly absent here.
You must understand that this is an IMPROVISATION. You can't make an improvisation sound like something that it would take famous composers years to write. Also, a trained ear can pick out the climax. Apparently yours is untrained in the style of Chopin.
One last thing, anyone who improvises this well does not deserve any criticism whatsoever. He deserved to be praised highly. Even if it is not perfect, that does not mean you should criticize it.
Oh, and if you are such a genius, why don't you post a video of you playing it the way you think it should be played? Otherwise you have no room to talk.

I completely agree. Those who criticize understand bulshit about music and how hard is what this old man is doing up there..

Next time you post or say something, ask yourself "is this pretentious?" It's a useful filter to have.

A beautifully tuned and voiced piano!
I notice the video was done in 1994. It sounds better than the other videos. The arrangements were lovely.....
