This is a great video, it wants me to dig out that FSX again and give it another shot (I bought it many moons ago, but never took off on it).
I am flying real helicopters, in Hong Kong too. Helicopter Operation was still from Kai Tak until a few months ago. They actually only grounded the helicopter fleet recently due to an accident on approach (private R22 hit a parked bus on tailwind approach, probably LTE etc).
1 more thing.....how on earth do u get it to record so smothly i have sony vegas.8.0 and cnt get my videos this smoth even with fs2004...and my specs smash fs9 2 bits...
just lookin at some ov your videos and they are amazeing...ur better than me...i only just started out but ill take some tips away from watching these..
hoo how come i didn t see this video posted on Flightsimworld ? maybe i missed it. Good work mate ! very clean and well editied videos. from what i have seen from you so far i m sure you will keep producing very good videos. Check my Kai Tak video if you r curious to see what i did
My specs are: Intel E6700@3.0, 4 GB RAM, GeForce 8800 Ultra. The Scenery is very framefriendly, and because i wanted to show the smooth gliding of a helicopter, some scenes were filmed with simulationspeed set to half in order to reduce stutters (FRAPS is killing framrate sometimes).

Nice Video! How do you get the fireworks at the end?
Westpoint8 1 year ago
@Westpoint8 - The fireworks is a part of the scenery. Just set the time of day close before mighnight and start your flight :)

I have this scenery as well. Wow, your computer is indeed super fast! Mine is a old laptop, T2500, 2 Ghz ram, X1600, can't handle FSX.
Sayakawill 3 years ago
He mean your computer must be super fast since the game run really smoothly.

NASA computer & trackir...
What video compression you save? very clean for youtube
regards
curimedia 3 years ago
I'm a bit confused: what do you mean with 'NASA computer & trackir'?
I produced the video in 1280*720, using the defaults from Sony-Vegas, WMV 25p 5Mbit, and simply uploaded it to youtube.
