Does anyone the name of the Russian rock band who came to Vancouver during the olympics? They performed in Surrey and I had front row. They were amazng but I forgot their names!
Does anyone know the name of a Russian (i think) band which has an album with a red cover with like a little soviet emblem of sorts on the right? Can't remember or the life of me. Thanks

In my mind one of the greatest metal bands of all time, sadly unrecognized in the west. Even if this isn't the album you were thinking of give it a listen or watch their videos. Well worth it.

@byrnon, I agree that Bravo is worth including, they're actually one of my favorite bands. I didn't include them because they're more rock'n'roll than classic rock. Leningrad, however, is not classic rock and I like them too.

Great selections! Thanks for including Krematory (#4 Katmandu) and Mashina Vremeni (#8). Hadn't heard those before, and they are absolutely great.
Also love Kino (#1 Gruppa Krovi), DDT (#2 Autumn), Alisa (#7 Trassa E-95).
Hmm....nothing by Leningrad or Bravo? OK, they're not really rock, but neither are some of these others :)
