  • Give Hornady a try. Red H is the only brand ill put down my barrel. you won't be disappointed!

  • NATO should ditch .308 for the .300WM as it's standard .30 caliber round.

  • Ha the 300 win mag is a little big for an antelope... People use this rifle for moose and bear protection. You can it for african game excluding the larger game. Most 180 grain 300 win mag bullets are moving around 3100 feet per second equaling 3,893 ft·lbf.

  • those aren't 300 win mag "bullets", that's ammunition son. :)

  • Remember 2 things: Firstly the largest land mammal on Earth is the African Elephant.

Secondly the great W.D.M Bell aka (Karamajo Bell) killed 1011 Elephants using his trusty 7x57 Mauser with 173 grain Military Ammunition and he fired a average of 1.5 shots per kill. This means that over 500 Elephants were killed using 1 bullet.

I rest my case, Happy hunting ALL.

  • @Wheels1974 The largest land mammal on Earth is not an elephant, it's Roseanne.

  • I have no idea why a great deal of Americans use huge calibers when hunting Big Game.

Over the years I have watched a ton of big game African videos and the vast majority use .416 Rigby and also the 3 NITRO Express calibers, such as .450, .470 & .500 and they end up firing multiple rounds to try drop the anima, very few are 1 shot kills.

I strongly believe that the .375 H&H is as big as anyone needs to go for any animal on Earth.

  • I have hunted here in Australia, North America and my favorite Africa (Zambia) I have a .300 Win Mag and it would have to be one of the best all round calibers ever made.

With my .300 WM I have hunted everything from Grysbok, hippo, Lion to African Cape Buffalo not 1 but ALL 3 of my Cape Buffs were taken using 220 grain Woodliegh projectiles, all 1 shot kills and the last Cape Buff was shot 209 meters away and he didn't take a step. It all comes down to bullet placement.

  • ROOKIE...

  • i dont find much diffrance with factory ammo at all.

  • KINDA WONDER WHAT A COYOTE TASTE LIKE NOW.

WAIT A MINUTE! ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE FOUR LEGED VARIETY OR THE ONES THAT CROSS MY GIRLFRIENDS...OOPS, ER' I MEAN MY CLEANING LADIES!

  • HEY, I'M NOT SURE IF YOU MENTIONED IT, BUT DID YOU BUY THAT RIFLE FROM A LICENSED FFL DEALER?... LOL!

TODAY I CLEANED OUT MY LOCAL WALMART'S SUPPLY OF WINCHESTER SUPREME 300 WIN MAG 180 GR. E-TIP 2O PER BOX CLEARANCE PRICE $30.00 WAS $56.47 + TAX.

  • im thinking about buying an 300 win mag for moose and bear

  • I've got the Rem 300 win mag. I've shot a few deer with it and it really puts them down. Whatever you do, don't use the Win ballistic Silver Tip on deer. I shot a buck and the damage was unbelievable. The exit wound was a foot in diameter. After skinning the deer in an attempt to salvage some meat, It looked a bomb had gone off in the animal. Use 150 grain soft points on deer size game and the larger grains and ballistic tips on large game. The 180 grain silver tip will put a Grizzly down.

  • I like how every one knows whats best and what they say is the ONLY way to go for a rifle or caliber lol. Use what you want that works for you.

The 300 win mag kicks ass for any North American game from hogs on up to moose and bison.

If you think 7mm or .270 is the best round then so be it, who gives a shit.

If you like the 338 Lapua..awesome. If you like to hunt with a 50 BMG then thats bad ass too.

As long as no one is out trying to hunt elk with a 22lr

  • its insane imo to use ballistic rounds in 300 win mag for dear. i use nosler partition that makes a small neat hole clean through no matter what you hit for bone.

  • You would have been happier with a model 70

  • I think you'll find alot of reading material stating the .270 is the most popular hunting round in the world!!

  • 300 is way to big for antelope. I shot one with it and it split in in half

  • You're planning on eating yotes? Are you Korean?

  • @TacticalKarma Not korean. Actually, I don't hunt coyotes that often. I am for sure not going to leave anything that i can use out in the field though. If I were to take one, I would obviously take it's pelt and then go ahead and get the meat. It is a huge waste and somewhat un-ethical to just kill something and not use all that you can.

  • @Gamovarminthunter1 you are totally correct.

  • i shoot groundhogs with mine i shoot a 180gr. remington core lokt its around 30 bucks a box here and shoots really great

  • what metal are those casings?

  • @Chriznak They would still be brass mate, but they are Nickle plated hence the silver finish. I love using nickle plated cases for reloading gives them a kick ass look!! =)

  • hey man thanks for the video! i was looking for a new big bore rifle i was thinking out of 308 or 300 win mag what do you think? i do alot of long range shooting thanks mate. keep posting!

  • thanks. I would personally choose the .308 because of the cost of ammo. I dont know exactly how far your going to be shooting but if your talking more than 650 yards I would actually take the 300win mag. Anything under that I would go .308

  • @Reardon171 Go with a 30-06 best round on the fucking planet.

  • @isamtator A 30-06 is a good round but a .300 min mag is way better you can shoot longer ranges! I've got a 30-06 and have taken alot of deer with it but if im going to shoot long ranges im goin to take my .300 win mag browning a-bolt medallion and take a deer down at 1000 yards easily! Alot of people talk about how a .308 is the best round on the planet but it's only good for about 450 yards!

  • @ChillinOnADirtroad69

I would be more generous than 450 yards.

  • If you hunt coyotes where I do (Canada) we don't eat them because what they eat it crap. They live of off roten meat. We shoot them and take them for hide. I'm just gonna ask that ppl respect what others eat. If they want to let them and if you don't like it too bad

  • @dustyroad14, if you are starving to death and kill a coyote with a trap to eat it thats fine. But if you have money for 300 mag shells then you might as well go buy a bunch of livestock.

  • can you send me the link of the gun you bought. im a huge weatherby fan lol

  • a 30-06 for coyote? your retarded and you dont eat coyote you take the hide and .300 is too big for antelope.

  • @subwoofer55 ... I dont even know how to respond to you. I know atleast 20 hunters that use 30 cal guns for coyote and then eat the meat. I also know some hunters that use a 300Win mag for antelope.

  • @davidclaywest A lot of people eat it. I know people that do. I have personally eating it. Dont be so damn condescending you slut

  • @Gamovarminthunter1 well i think raising and eating chickens would be way healthier and cheaper than shooting stinky ass coyotes with 300 win mag bullets hahahaha

  • @subwoofer5considering that my friend shot a coyote over the weekend with a 30 06 over the weekend and we grilled it,and my cousin has taken 4 antelope with a 300 ultra mag...learn from personal experience before you try to ruin a good video.

  • @subwoofer55 Dude I sometimes use an M1 carbine to shoot coyotes. It works fine as long as you hit them in the vitals or break their front leg.

  • tht winchester round vs rabbit= pink mist haha tried it out ths evening haha

  • great caliber but for deer its the worst it will blow up all the meat i recomend .30-06 you can kill everything all the way into north america and canada with it

  • you are a nerd for sure with your gay ass vid. say ffl licenced dealer again you weirdo.

  • hey congrats on getting the new rifle! and before you do any testing i want to be the first one to officially vote for the federal ammunition lol iam a huge fan of federal and i use the mag shok copper loads for turkey and also use the federal spitfire in .22 LR for squirrel and i have yet to have any issue with either one, cant wait to see the next vid, are you going to do a video testing both the winchester and federal?

  • @1gamoguy Not on this channel. Go check out Outdoorsforum, that is were I will be posting all my new videos and definatly a video with both ammo's and the rifle review

  • @Gamovarminthunter1 good shit when you get your other channel up and running send me the link to it so i can sub it

  • @1gamoguy You are a wise person!! Federal is bomb! its all i ever use and since its made in Minnesota and i grew up right by where it was made was pretty cool!

i shoot it through my Weatherby 300 win mag! 180 grain and 150 grain :)

  • @havokwonder1212 very nice buckmasters actually has a custom weatherby 300 that the guy had built just for the show that he uses, and calls it bertha lol very well made beautiful rifle! and i have yet to find any munitions company that can compete with the new innovations that federal has ben brining to the market for both acuracy and distance as well as lethal flat trajectory hunting rounds, but how you are with federal iam with remington i have a remington arms plant about 25 min from me

  • no such a thing the best, you are not going to use 177 on a deer and you aren't gonna use 300 on an elephant, is that right ?

  • @Jordenkl ??? did you not hear him state that the 30 cal is used for pretty much any game animal in north america??? not sure where you live but i live here and the only elephants we have are in a fucking zoo dipshit lol wow!

  • @1gamoguy lol, i thought if i should respond to your comment, and i am still thinking, but i wouldn't from one reason, i never answer to idiots , blocked

  • @Jordenkl ohhh and one more thing since you "blocked" me LOLZ with airgun tech that is available now they are actually taking 200lb feral boars with .177 in texas and also they are using .50 cal big bore PCP air rifles on safari game...... so unto you again jr. way to be youtubes BIGGEST EPIC TROLL FAIL EVER! but you keep talking like you have any clue you sure are special and no doubt a product of inbreeding

  • @1gamoguy HAHAAHAHhahaaha hohoh, i feel sorry for you bud, never heard of 12 years at school ? xD haha, waste of my time, give me back my 10 seconds xD

  • @Jordenkl haha whos my bitch?? thats right your my bitch because you can not help but to keep responding trying to fathom any form of logic with your rants...anyway jr. i thought you "blocked" me?? thats ok you keep responding your such a good bitch ;o)

  • @Jordenkl but i will give some credit where credit is due....i decided to check out your channel and you own high powered air rifles........ but that at the same point leaves me confused since you know what they are capable of, at least i hope you do why do you leave such stupid comments on this video??? GVH is just breaking away from air rifles and getting into actual centerfire high powered fire arms........ but hey it is what it is, yoru still my bitch and your doing a good job so keep it up!

  • @1gamoguy lol ! xD !!! damn dude , in my level, i shouldn't even talk to a low quality creature as you.

never argue with idiots, they will take you to their level, since you are such a low quality thing, i am not going to argue with YOU lol.

ho by the way, i own 2 pistols, and i am working in a shooting range...so...give me a break.

good bye low quality thing, don't worry little brainless, one day you will grow up, and you will understand why i won't answer to you any more...

  • @huntwithairguns I dont know much about coyote hunting but I guess they would hunt them for the hide. I have seen people who claim they have hunted and eaten the meat though. I could never do that though. I would be thinking of my dogs and then cry when I shoot the thing. Also I am looking to do some doe hunting just for some meat. I am probably going to go for head shots most of the time. When I go elk hunting I will go for the lungs so I can keep the bull's head
