  • Try crouching when you're higher than him so you whip that fireball.

  • in the games after this what hapened to the belmods

  • @issacflores2010 nobody knows but in 1999 julious belmont would rise up to kick Draculas black ass once again FOR GOOD THIS TIME!!

FYI-The belmonts disapeered after Castlevania: Symphony Of the night which takes place after this game.

this game and Rondo of blood is more or less the same game. Dracula X which you are seeing here is more or less a Super nintendo RE-DO of rondo of blood, which didnt really compare to the orginal game, rondo of blood, but i like this game

  • @issacflores2010 well rhicter (!!spoiler alert!!) dissappers, maria renard looks for him, castlevania appears, she goes to look for him thier meets alucard the main character,to find hes been taken over by the dark priest shaft, alucard kills shaft and defeats dracula F.Y.I alucard is draculas son his names is dracula spelled backwards hope it helped :)

  • AVGN said beating him was impossible. This never happened!

  • @TheBansheeBomb It completely happened.

  • HERMOSOS RECUERDOS

  • how did u get somany hearts?

  • @devilsshady You can grind them right outside the room. You enter the screen. Get your ten or so hearts. Leave to the right. THen go back into the screen and get more and more.

  • anybody knows the title of the background music???

  • @wildwoody8

"Dance of Illusions" It's been used as Dracula's theme is a lot of Castlevania games.

  • Don't you meet Galamoth yet, hu?

  • Why is Dracula always so much taller than your character? Hell just one of his legs is taller than Richter

  • Finished it with a whip to the crotch.

  • This boss battle drove me nuts! I know the Caslevania series was know for being hard, but did Konami have make you worry about falling to a bottomless pit at the same time you're fighting Dracula? This boss it the most condensed form of CFS (Caslevania Frustration Syndrome).

  • I used the Stopwatch for this fight. I just hit him with the whip until he changed form; then I used the Item Crash, which creates a shield that protects you from the fireballs AND harms Dracula.

  • After his first form, Dracula turns into a demon wearing a speedo.

    I have no comment.

  • I love how Dracula is bored on his throne like he's thinking, "About fucking time..."

  • Dracula X Chronicles Dracula is the most freaking hardest!!

  • Now, who's harder: Dracula X Dracula, or Dracula X Chronicles Dracula?

  • looks like god of war except ur playing as.. like poseidon

    and your fighting a dracula

  • PS... Upon further review, it is also apparent and important to point out that you can take several hits at least, by projectiles, and NOT fall in. As long as you are positioned front edge-ish on a platform, you will not get knocked back far enough to fall in. Drac's not exactly racing around the screen, you can be in an un-knock-off-able spot pretty much at will.

  • @DDenzelSSnipes Instead of watching, do a playthrough. Preferably making a video out of it to prove your hypothesis. Rondo's Dracula is WAY easier in comparison, as already repeatedly stated by everyone else who played both. As for what you said, nearly everyone already thought of that at some point, but it doesn't work that way.

  • FORGET DRACULA! WATCH OUT RICHTER!!!!! IT'S DEVIL KAZUYA!!

  • This version is actually 100x superior, in terms of sound level design, than the laughably overrated PC-Engine game.

Don't tell a fanboy that, though.

  • Nice talking with you, I value the point of view of others. Thanks.

  • I was only comparing the two games, Rondo and Dracula X... not commenting on the history of all final dracula fights, and certainly not including anything to do with the "newer" or "metroidvania" type titles. And I was certainly not trying to offend you personally. Just the way I see the difference between the final boss battle between this and Rondo. That was all, and just my opinion, which only means something to me. I still give you props for your video, good job.

  • I'm not bitching. Just discussing, no problems here. I guess there's not even something called friendly debate anymore around here, that's fine if you took offense, I meant none... Also, I've played 'em all, beat 'em all. And finally, I'm not retarded, I was hit over the head with a "bat" when I was a kid.

  • Hey great pun! Hit me over the head with a "bat"... OK, I understand what you are saying. And I'm not saying you can just sit in one spot all day, I get that you have to be mobile. I only meant that at least here, you occasionally have times that his attacks are no threat at all. My point is that in Rondo, EVERY time he attacks, you are in harm's way, not just most of the time. I get that you are saying the possibility of falling makes this fight more dangerous.

  • @DDenzelSSnipes I'm not saying it. Millions of people who played this game says it. You should watch the Angry Video Game Nerd sometimes. He made his Drac X rant a little after I made this video.

  • Also, credit due and congratulations to you for beating this.. I know, no Castlevania is simple to get through. I'm not knocking you, just the idea that this is a pussied down version of Rondo's final boss. There should be no way to be above or below Drac's attacks and just sit them out, pits or no pits. Just a comparison.

  • @DDenzelSSnipes Again, there is no sweet spot where you can hide. Do I need to hit you over the head with a bat for you to understand that? He can spawn everywhere. His bigger fireballs. Hits all platforms no matter where he spawns.

Rondo of Blood's fight is the same as, Castlevania 1, Castlevania Sympony of the Night, Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin. It's not hard at all. Not even a bit. Most people who play castlevania rest easy when they get to Dracula. Not in DracXSNES

  • Also, In Rondo, Dracula transforms into a Real beast... the bat-monster form he becomes in SNES Drac. X is a joke in comparison. Yeah yeah, people will say it's not the same game. Well, I accept the SNES version as a cheap substitute for Rondo that was tossed to America at the time. Even Konami says the SNES game is Non-Canon... what does that tell you?

  • @DDenzelSSnipes It tells me you are being a little to whiny for something trivial. No one claims this game is canon, or this game is even the best of the castlevania series. No one. Your the one who is ranting over this? So what does that tell you?

  • @KuchKuto OK..Sorry to offend, not my intention. Not ranting though, I wrote all that on one breath. : ) I just mean, this is not as difficult as Rondo's Drac simply on the fact that the programmers obviously gave players an easier battlefield to work with, given the fact that they were attempting a weaker Rondo here. See, here they gave you a battlefield you can hide in. Pits = death, but just dont fall, you have the option here of hiding from Drac's attacks as well. Easier.

  • @DDenzelSSnipes Not easier. Drac spawns on any of the platforms. Meaning if he spawns on the lower platforms. You can't hide. In order to hit him you have to not hide. If you get hit, you are going in the pit. The programmers wanted to give players a harder fight. Again you probably haven't played any other castlevania if you thought that because Rondo had a flat battlefield it was harder. Seriously either play she SNES Drac X and beat it in one try, or quit bitching.

  • Ugh. After just spending the past week playing and beating Rondo of Blood, watching this video makes me sick. Everyone knows SNES Drac X is a watered-down knock off of Rondo, I have to say there is no way the battle in this vid could be difficult whatsoever. It is basically the same fight as in Rondo, but here you are given lowered nooks to hide in and avoid most of the projectiles, by ducking onto the low columns. Try Rondo where it's just a flat floor and you MUST jump over every attack!

  • @DDenzelSSnipes Dracula's attacks were never hard to dodge in any Castlevania. The problem is the fact that those pits are death. If you screw up once, and only once. You are bound to fall into those said pits. Trust me if you ever played the SNES version you will fall into the pit guaranteed.

  • Wait, Dracula has Dominace (glyph) ?!

  • WOW! Dracula's laugh sounds like a blue collar dad watching a comedy.

  • my favorite part is when he say hahaha

  • "Even worse, Dracula turns into a devil wearing a speedo"

  • This boos looks absolutely hard, especially because the fight is made in platforms over a bottomless pit

  • Comment removed

  • @FireZtarDS also the controls are shit, if it wasn`t hard enough...

  • Hey, how come there's no "Die monster, you don't belong in this world" part?

  • @MaverickHunterX3 Wrong Dracula X.

  • @MaverickHunterX3 Your talking about Symphony Of The Night

  • @MaverickHunterX3 the one you're talking is the PSX one - Symphony of the Night/ Dracula X

  • @MaverickHunterX3 Just in Symphony of the Night.

  • the battle with Dracula X is almost impossible, almost imfuckinpossible

  • I like how Dracula laughs. It's repetitive, yes. But it's quite addicting. "HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH!"

  • i think the fight was a lot best n SOTN

  • so how much would it suck to fall after you beat him?

  • this is quite frankly the hardest dracula fight ever, not to mention one of the harder castlevania games in general

  • @LDKRyden Yes. Especially when Dracula can just knock you off the pillars and send you falling to your death. It's quite a bitch to beat him in this game.

  • First Form is Harder than the second -_-

  • At at the end little girl walks in on Belmont getting ridden by a babe.

  • Lol, this fight seriously takes like 10-20 mins at times, due to Dracula not spwning at the places I want him to spwn.

  • @GeneralErlend I felt that pain for three months.

  • this fight is quite easier with the axe.

  • Good job, son.

  • Note to self :

    form 1 : not bad

    form 2 : HOLY SHIT

  • Teabagging Dracula at the end. Nice.

  • This was the most annoying and hardest castlevania game I ever played! lolz. =)

  • Can someone make a video showing all castlevania final bosses and them fighting that boss.I would if only I knew how to record without a camera.I would get bored in the process.I have time trying to sit down and play a castlevania game because I cant beat it on my own.

  • @koko6504

The thing is, most of the Final Boss fights of the Castlevania series ARE this, with minor exceptions. ANY fight with Dracula in his human form follows the exact pattern in this video, with only the tiniest variations (like a flat battlefield). Dracula's second form is where the differences appear, but even then, it does mostly the same thing - spits fireballs, jumps around. Sometimes has an extra attack or two. You mostly have to look to the 3D games and SoTN for true variation.

  • the bad of this castlevania is the mode of jumping, if you jump from incorrect point you can't do anything

  • When he laughs, he sounds like The Count.

  • 2:31 Epic nutshot

  • What makes this Dracula one of the hardest is that a single hit from him can send falling into a bottmless pit.

  • lol i guess the last boss was the hardest boss in Video game

  • 2:13 "why does he turn into a devil wearing a speedo" AVGN

  • Hardest Dracula you've ever fought? I beat this guy on my first try....no I am not joking. I might've watched too much of this boss fight videos, but I did it. The whole game, in particular the area leading to him was much harder.

  • @SilentStalkerX Of all my boss fight videos, this is the longest time it took me to kill Dracula. You have to remember I didn't have HyperCam and I was using SNES9x's own recording program, when you use it the emulator slows down to roughly 75% speed AND you lose all sound. In the fight Dracula laughs when he is teleporting so I didn't know when he was going to appear. I probably died atleast 20 times actually JUMPING into him because I didn't know when he was teleporting.

  • @KuchKuto

Good points. I'm willing to accept that some people just have difficulty fighting certain bosses. I can see you saying Dracula from DxC is easy when I found that to be one of my hardest Dracula fights.

  • @SilentStalkerX DxC is the same dracula on a flat area. xD If only the battlefield in this fight was flat. xD

  • @KuchKuto

Hardest Dracula for me was on NES, the REAL NES, before save states! ^_^ Also, if you use regular equipment, Dracula in Harmony of Despair (xbox 360) is a bastard too!

  • @LightningDemon NES is one of the easier ones just because of Holy Water. HD was a quasi RPG, if you were stacked correctly Drac was easy in that one too.

  • @SilentStalkerX he said he had problems with him, not you:)

  • @SilentStalkerX would be funny if he did all that work to beat this boss and he fell down when he wanted to grab the orb xD

  • I say this is the 2END hardest dracula battle hardest being castlevania 3 becuse when you die you go back to the last check point andcan lose halth pluse dracula has 3 forms

  • dracula's ghost looks like lucifer

  • so how different is Dracula X from Rondo of Blood? I personally think this version of the final boss looks a lot more interesting than the one in Rondo of Blood.

  • im curently doing a dracula x lets play with cheats but i tried to playthrugh the game without cheats on my snes and i was recording that but i actully got alot of bonus lives and i was doing good until i got to dracula he killed me all of my lives but i have actuly beatin the game without cheats aswell so wish me luck and come check out my lets play

  • you finished it with a whip to the ballz :)

  • Dracula: Sorry Belmont. The contractors didn't have enough time to finish rebuilding the room for our final fight.

Richter: What?! How is that possible!?

Dracula: Well, I can't afford a GOOD company to do this. You know, since I have to rebuild this place EVERY TIME!!!

  • @BlackHeart8452 "This castle is a creature of Chaos, it may take many incarnations." Alucard, Castlevania: SotN

  • @BlackHeart8452 Your sir deserve an internet.

  • Richter: Dang, Vlad buddy you are a TALL mo fo

  • So This is the Dracula final boss music they used in IWBTG!

  • AHAHAHAHAHHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAAHA! RAAAGH!!!!

  • I always said this--Dracula's 2nd form looks like he's wearing a speedo.

  • @RuggedSavior he IS wearing a speedo

  • i'm sorry , but that boss is not that hard

  • Why did you use the Cross subweapon instead of the Holy Water? It would have killed him faster than the Cross did.

  • OMG i hated this battle with dracula, i died alot back then, in this vid you make it look easy but i wanted to just hack the game and put a actual floor in the game lol xD

  • wow u put this on youtube, and took the easy way by using item x powers three times? thumbs down

  • Dracula's laughing is contagious. I found myself snickering aloud as this video went on.

  • best dracula fight ever.

  • When I played this game on the SNES and now in an emulator, I learned something about this particular Dracula...

The axe is one of the best subweapons in this game.

Try to stay in the lower platforms and when he appears on an upper one, trow him an axe.

When he gets to his second form, the same technique applies, but now you should spam axes like crazy to kill him in no time.

  • Konami

Bringing us speedo wearing vampires since 1986

  • Well no ofense but it is much easier if u use an emulator and keyboard...

  • @reggiardito How is it easier? Did you even read the description?

  • @KuchKuto I mean easier than the original version with an SNES pad.

  • @KuchKuto PS yeah i did read the description.

  • @reggiardito So an original SNES with a controller in your actual hand is harder than your hands flat on a keyboard, playing at one fourth speed, and having no sound cues to do attacks.

I still have no idea how Emulator+Keyboard is easier than SNES+GamePad....

  • @KuchKuto I don't really want to discuss or anything. It is not an offensive or anything like that.

Anyway , i mean that's easier because u have ur hands on total control , in SNES gamepad , u have only ur thumb , in Keyboard , U use ur first 2 fingers. Witch makes things easier.

  • @reggiardito I wish I had a keypad back then. Seriously I do. This was a bitch to do because it was Emulation and keyboard.

  • @KuchKuto U could emulate it with a PC joistick , or with a SNES/PS2 joistick + adaptor. U could even try with a N64 joistick , but the N64-to-PC adaptor is kinda rare ...

  • @KuchKuto P.D I just noticed : Imagine how this would be if he actually would hurt u @ touch...

  • @reggiardito

In a simpler game like Castlevania, it really doesn't make that much difference how many fingers you use. =/

  • @SolarisParadox What i mean is that u've got control on all buttons at the same time with ur fingers. And not with thumbs. Try it up , at first try it with a Keyboard , then with a Gamepad. U'll see that's harder with the gamepad.

  • @reggiardito

What I mean is, if you have trouble controlling Castlevania with just your thumbs, I feel bad for you, son.

Maybe as the controls get more complex later down the line, that might be an issue, but as it is, the most complicated thing you would ever need to do is press "jump" and another button at the same time, and that's easy to do on a SNES controller.

  • @SolarisParadox U don't really understand me.

I've beat this game in SNES. And did it agian nowadays with a PS2 controller.

But u can't say that it's easier with a gamepad than with a keyboard.

Not untill u try both of them out.

  • @reggiardito

    And u can't spell.

For the record, I have tried them both. Did I say it was easier with a gamepad? No, I did not. What I said was that it's NOT easier with a keyboard.

  • @reggiardito Reggiardito is a perfect example of someone who just doesn't want to lose an argument.

Yeah, this boss was REALLY hard. It would be even more difficult on keyboard.

  • @Excessivecontrast Ok , 6 months happened , i don't give a fuck anymore. I've played Ninja Gaiden with both Gamepad and Keyboard. I thought it was harder with the gamepad.

Maybe i was just too used to the keyboard?

    Really , i don't care anymore.

  • @KuchKuto lol what a silly guy. keyboard easier than gamepad? >.> anyway this boss isn't that hard. its not like he has such a crazy pattern or anything. besides how many tries did you take? thats the nice thing about youtube you can just keep recording untill u succeed and then upload it

  • @reggiardito In one sense, yes. You have the advantage of save states and such. On the other hand, I find it a million times easier to play games like this with the controller than the keyboard. I personally find it impossible to control him in the air with a keyboard. I can't even beat the first two stages using one without having to save state a million times. With a controller on the other hand I'm more comfortable. While I don't have this for SNES, I do have a controller adapter for the PC.

  • @RobChapman91 I don't really find myself discussing this again.

It's simple as this : I WAS NOT talking about save states.

I played NInja gaiden NES , with both Keyboard and Controller (Well i used a PS2 controller , but that's not the case) and it seems like u have complete control with the keyboard. It's like with a Gamepad u have ur thumb , but with a keyboard u have complete control with the keys.

    I don't want another discussion , i'll just leave , respond whatever u want.

  • @reggiardito I apologize if it seems like I was being argumentative. I guess it's just a matter of opinion/preference for each person. You have a valid point, lol. No argument here.

  • The credits screen. Tits?

  • Dracula's Ghost looks a lot like Devil from Tekken...

  • Wow dude. Regardless of all the problems you say you had, you made it look easy. I had a HELL of a time with this faggot lol. The broken floor made it near impossible

  • @ItheSwick Took me 3 months to kill him. So I got used to it.

  • @KuchKuto angrynintendonerd had pointed out this last boss being impossible to beat...and your video tells me that it is indeed very difficult

    much props to you

  • @KuchKuto "Not only do you have to fight dracula on these platforms, dracula turns into a demon wearing a speedo." - Angry Video Game Nerd (James Rolfe)

  • I think koopa studied under dracula since I keep seeing that same style fire attack in super mario 3

  • This battle shows three reasons why Rondo of Blood is better than Dracula X. In Rondo he gets pre-battle text. In Rondo the stage isn't broken up so it's not as ridiculously hard. In Rondo his transformed state is more like how it usually looks (large bestial demon). And finally in Rondo he's not showing off his package!

  • dude... dracula are dessesd like batman joker

  • lol 2:01 dragon baaaaaalllllllzzzzzz!!!!!!!!

  • EPIC HALO END! mmmhh PURE PWNAGE!

  • Dracula in a SPEEDO!

  • ouch that last one was in the crotch. No wonder Dracula is kneeling down... IN PAIN!

  • @StealthiconX

Come now. Don't you know a vampire's true weakness is a whip to the junk?

  • Dracula X, huh? Sound like Dracula killed the Megaman X and using his X-buster or his armor... forget it

  • Why is Dracula that tall in all of the games? I mean he's got to be at least twice the size of the belmont (in literally every game) anyway, good video

  • "The boss in this game is IMPOSSIBLE. IM-FUCKING-POSSIBLE" AVGN quote

  • lols Dracula's second form carries a speed-o :D

  • I just use ZSNES and Fraps, no problems.

  • Dracula's just sittin on his chair sayin "So you finally made it.....Can't rely on minions these days....Guess i'll have to kill you myself."

  • this guy makes it look so easy, but damn, having to fight Dracula on a bunch of platforms like that...it's just cruel. This guy is hard enough when you dont have to worry about falling off the cliff and dying.

  • Lol, teabagging Dracula? xD 2.38

  • what is the final boss theme of this called?

and also what did you use to record this video?

  • Richter's fight with Dracula is retold at the beginning of Symphony of Night, right? The total bullshit hardness of this boss fight gets lost in the translation....also Dracula wearing a speedo :P

  • Hey! what happened to the awesome 'nbeam of energy' materializing thing from siuper Castlevania IV? C'mon! This could be so much more epic!

  • LMAO You teabagged Dracula

  • i love this theme so cool btw it's the same for Soma Dracula in DoS

    1:22 OUAAAAAAH xD

  • this is nt dracula x, it's vampires kiss!

  • The Dracula fight in Portrait of Ruin was the hardest I've ever fought. Order of Ecclesia was kinda tough but in Portrait of Ruin you fought Dracula AND Death at the same time!

  • @LordofDragns i agree, it was my favorite too, specially on his final form, he can like ohko xD unless you make a good timing with the specs ur dead meat :P

  • Why do these 14 year old twitards fail to understand what a REAL vampire is? Truth is they've never heard of Castlevania.

  • hard? it was one of the easiest bosses i ever done in castlevania.

just stand on a platform and trow axxes at him, jump in time and he is so easy

  • Made it to him I don't know how many times and only three times I was able to beat him. One of the hardest bosses ever.

  • OMG! TEH SATAN! lol

I hated this boss with a passion. I never beat Teh Satan. :(

  • Unbelievably hard final boss, and the fact that sometimes he teleports in the other side of the room and you have to be careful when jumping from platform to platform avoiding those hits adds to that difficulty level.

But that axe weapon helps a lot in this fight.

  • what is the game??

  • lol he tea bagged dracula XD

  • Flawless!!!!

  • Trying this fight took a longer time than the whole game, which was actually very easy.

But this fight, goddamn! It really is the hardest Dracula ever in a ClassicVania. But CV3 is still harder because you have to do that long, hard stage all over again when you got a game over.

So yeah, it's not IM-FUCKING-POSSIBLE, but a hard fight indeed.

But now I can do it on the first try each time I play Dracula X.

  • Even though this is a hack job of Rondo Of Blood. You have to admit this is a good game considering.

  • I see Dracula X (SNES) kinda like Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Has that bizarre feeling of using the familiar enemies and stage elements in weird ways.

While the original Rondo of Blood is better, the SNES game is still great, and one of my favorite SNES titles.

  • @19Szabolcs91 How is the other version superior? Im honestly asking, Not trying to be a smartass, I havent played it. Im a Castlevania newcomer, and I cannot believe I have not played any of them before SOTN came up on Xbox Live. I unlocked Richter in SOTN, and he is kickass. Wanting to play the game he came from, I downloaded Dracula X for SNES, and I was kinda dissapointed. Does Richter play like how he does in SOTN in the other version of this game?

  • @Brandon5l9

Rondo of Blood has more stages, more bosses, somewhat better stage design, a second character to usemore secrets and cutscenes.

The gameplay and controls are the exact same as in the SNES version.

  • @ZAPPSOFT This is true, I almost consider them different games. I think they are both good in their own right

  • actually looks pretty easy. Not as easy as in the original Rondo of blood

  • Damn..You put AVGN to shame, he said this is immpossible.

  • @T94OWH lmao avgn was right man....this takes alot of patience
