cs pro mod is a good idea, but isn't it a lot easier to just copy + paste Condition Zero models and map textures to 1.6. Or just remake the maps in condtion zero to make them like 1.6, and keep the models.... that way = better graphics but still the old gold src engine is still intact.

playing 1.6 semi-prof has made clear to me that the gameplay of source could never be compared to 1.6, nor could the animations. now if promod gets everything 1.6 had, including recoils, animations it will still NOT be the same thing because of the advanced and different graphics. the old graphics of cs 1.6 make it what it is and the players that have trained years under these graphics will be unfair to have to adjust to something else

so the whole game sucks because they made it so that you can actually spot the grenades while they are flying? and they aren't even bouncing, they are flying pretty normal tbh. in source the grenade physics is fucked up and it's impossible to spot the grenades when they are flying

Ok, as a reply to your last post. The physics are not perfect but still it's damn easy to see where the nade is going and where it will go when it bounces of a wall. And if you think it's "impossible" to spot the nades mid air, you really do need glasses. Your words not mine. Cheers;)

On CSS, you must shoot a bit to the right or a bit to the left to hit the fucking hitboxes (It's not that realistic, is it?)

The promod css team is going at a snail like pace with the mod but hey they arent getting payed their only motivation is to make css better so i think it will be done in a year or so i really really hope its sooner but the people crafting the mod are fairly new to modding if an experienced modder with HL2 would just help out it would be 10x quicker but eh.I'm sure it will get done the question is when. Ill keep css installed til the day :)

I have to disagree with you because, in CS:S anyone really can get a headshot. If you take a look when your playing every kill is a headshot. The mechanics and physics of Source are so shitty compared to 1.6, for example, the recoil. There is barely any for all the guns. Source also fucked with a lot of the maps 1.6 players cherished by adding or removing shit. Try 1.6, I can guarentee if a veteran player comes in, you will get fucking raped.

nah, promod is a remake of 1.6 in the source engine - the idea is it will give the updated look and polish of source but with the same mechanics of the 1.6 game. the idea is that players of 1.6 think that the cs:s gameplay is not as good as 1.6, so this mod is being made to cater of those players (of which there are thooooousands!)

It's basically an upgrade of 1.6 but lower make of Source. So saying in the end it was basically made for 1.6 players who loved the game yet hated it graphics wise, so heres their chance to play the Counter strike they love yet sitting there and whining in CS:S about how 1.6 is better but graphics wise.
