This is too sad she has wonderful parents that cares about her a lot. Some people don't know that some different ethnic people over here in the united states don't like us Hmong people. That's why they are trying to get rid of us. I will always support my hmoob people and will always support my Hmong people no matter what because that is called love and respect our Hmong people!
@maaaaiy just because you hear on the news doesnt mean she did it. the new always make it look worser than it is. you cant just say she deserve to go to jail because she microwaved her daughter. the police doesnt have proof..they are making ACCUSATION. the police are basing her case along with 3 other known case because they feel the baby has SIMILAR burns. They have no evidences other than a pacifier found in a microwave. If that is the case, were there evidences of burn skin in the microwave?
I wonder if postrum depression was apart of this? This is so sad. People need to ask for help when they need too. I know that Hmong people don't really like to expose their family problems to the public, they like to keep it hidden and almost forget about. I'm glad that her parents went on tv and talked about the situation.
Look I'm so sorry about what has happened and of course I want to support my fellow hmongs but this girl should be going to jail. She microwaved her baby. Okay she has seizures but that does not justify the fact that she still did something inhuman. I mean maybe if she was mentally ill then yes but shes not she's suffering from siezures it doesnt impair your train of thought,

So most likely Ka got confused after her seizures. According to washingtonpost com "Friends said Otte, who was on medication for epilepsy, told her family that a seizure caused her to mistake her baby for a bottle of milk that needed warming. "Otte was a 19 year old mother who also put her baby in the microwave because seizures in1994.
@dreamydayys Yes, during postictal phrase (after seizure) a person can be very confuse, combative, etc. I work with seizure patients, so I know. It's sad enough of the situation, and it's a shame to see all these hatreds toward a person with an uncontrolled medical condition.
