I think that considering this is only Cadillacs second generation to the luxury-sport scene they have produced a very worthy competitor. If you think of how long the other car manufacturers have been around, the years they have had to perfect each model and trim, Cadillac is representing well that American muscle is no stranger to debate but this isnt about setting records in a straight line, its about setting the record straight (stole that from one of their adds lol)

nothing great about this car. has reasonable handling and a cheap but ok interior and a bad exterior design. god the exterior sucks. i saw many of these on the streets and havent realized till now that they are the new cadillac cts whch just came out. i mean this is simply not a head turner as compared to its competetors such as the c350 , M3 or the A4. this is a car with decent power but still made for the American grannies and housewives.

Agree...I wished I liked this car better - beautiful exterior design....interior is disappointing. Lots of plastic, feels cheap.  Lexus, BMW, and Volvo rule for interiors.

Coming from a complete fool who's name is benz4life. Here's a newsflash Cadillac finished just a hair behind Lexus in 3 year reliability and initial quality for several years now. O for the fataly stupid that means it is ahead of its other Japanese and German rivals. Reliability is no problem at all for a Cadillac.

The honest reason to buy this car is to stand out from the cround.. Looks interesting but i would personally take the M3..Not just for the BMW mark but for the amazing drive and quality it has to offer.

I do believe you have point there I mean the M3 DOES have a lot to offer but I dont undersand why it doesnt look as good as other BMs..the exterior is just ok but the interior is plain ugly..BUT u gotta admit that this cadi has great some tech specs as well..u know what im getting the cadillac cuz what M3 has to offer doesn't neccarely have 2 be in my priorities..truth is i'm just a beginner driver..this cadillac is gonna be my first car!(not exactly this one but the coupe version of it)

Nice... Ive driven the M3 in several ocations and it is one of the best cars ive driven. Bettered by Porsche 911 however.. I somehow love the interior compared to any other cars. Audi is to techy complicated. Merc is to subtle. Ive never been in a CTS so i have no say but i love the class in the bmw's

My CTS is a FE3 and the handling is better than most german cars, it is not the typical old caddy soft

The M3 is nice, but EVERY LAST PERSON IN THE WORLD AND RUMOR HAS IT A FEW MARTIANS HAVE A M3. BE DIFFERENT, DRIVE A CADDY! Besides, I've always seen and thought BMW's as OVER engineered.  If your going German get a Merc. But back to the original Q&A, I would take the CTS over the M3 any day.

Well I just have to compare it for myself. Problem is Cadillacs arent sold in Australia as far as it goes. I know they are comming. Until then, my vote stays with the M3 as the best of its class.

Awesome new interior 10/10. I really love that new center dash and the panorama moonroof. Nice nav system that can lower it's kind of like the Scion tC's Tcover. For some reason I'm seeing some parallels between the two cars. Anyway it looks like GM is trying to restore the true meaning of Cadillac.
