Christians have to obey the government thats true AS LONG AS what the government tells you to do is in line with the Word of God. Word of God is higher than any power or rulers of this world. Jesus tells people to pay taxes so this is in line with the bible. Loyalty to God is more important than anything alse in this world. We are soldiers of Jesus Christ and our weapons are not physical.
no, in that particular case people asked Him specifically about whether they should pay taxes to cesar. If Jesus was speaking broadly than that would contradict His earlier sayings such as love your enemies and things like that.

You're delusional if you think that you're being sent over there to make anything safer, except the strangle hold of corporate america on the world's oil supply. Their oil is not worth your life and nothing you will do over there will justify your killing (or helping to kill) anyone because it is not a just or legal war. There's nothing patriotic or manly about fighting to steal oil for billionaires, especially ones who are not going to share it with you or allow you to have a real democracy.

this is amazing, the song aswell - does anyone know who sings it? im british and only 15 but iv been thru quite alot, but these guys are truly amazing and i have so much respect for them. they have inspired me to fight for god and for everyone who cares, iv always wanted to help fight in the war, but these guys have made me so much more confident, even if there are horrors and hell out there. i really want to be just like these amazing heros. god bless everyone and let all the nations unite

the 'verry christian comment' doesn't really convince anyone, many people call themselves christians. Actually the bible DOESN'T tell you to follow everything that government tells you to do. You have to obey the government AS LONG AS what the government tells you to do is in line with the bible. Also in New Testament theres no justification for violence.

Acts 10:15 talks about the gentiles being accepted by Jesus for salvation. Cornelius was a soldier before he was saved.

In the sermon on the mount, JESUS never mentioned about what to do if someone is about to kill you or others.If i have to kill in order to save lives including my own, i will. Killing another for self defence or protection is not hating that person.

GOD alone is worthy of my praise, worship and in Him is my hope. On the other hand, military service is just like paying taxes in which eligible individuals serve their nation in the best way possible, just like how they would pay their taxes.

Jesus tells people to pay taxes so this is in line with the bible. Loyalty to God is more important than anything alse in this world. We are soldiers of Jesus Christ and our weapons are not physical.

no, in that particular case people asked Him specifically about whether they should pay taxes to cesar. If Jesus was speaking broadly than that would contradict His earlier sayings such as love your enemies and things like that.

If a country's goverment is easily destabilized due to foreign aggressors and it does not have a strong military to enforce deterrence, how could Christianity flourish especially if these aggressors are hostile to Christians?
Being a soldier solely is not to kill but to enforce peace. You need to get your perception changed.

In Soviet Union christians were oppressed and even killed in stalins camps in siberia and i know people in my church that were there. So you think they should have defended themselves?
