If you haven't caught it yet ,it might be a varmint of a different nature like a chipmunk or a opossum ,or a whatever other Canadian varmints are common there,sometimes cats wont bother with raccoons either . We are all curious now on the outcome of this mystery , don't you dare leave us hanging on this one ! :)

They sleep during the day and play all night.. he may never come out.. gives a person the heebee jeebees though.Years ago I lived in a house where I could hear them running around in my kitchen floor.. i fretted about my kids and the mice... Hope you catch him soon!

@chopplolo not recommended , as other animals can also eat it and die , or the sick rats go out and get eatened by other animals such as cats,dogs ,hawks and owls then they get sick or die too ,JUST KILL THEM THE OLD FASHONDED WAY BY TRAP or shoot the bastards

when we had ours outside I would always find squrls and rabbits so I know they were getting mice and rats

Rats suck! Its too bad you have so many cats, or I would suggest Deacon. Works great for the mice I have in my garage.

@mbyr31 yeah.. were not allowed to use poison around here, its kinda bad too because when ya poison them they usually crawl into some place dry and warm and die... like in a roof or a car or something. gets nasty with all the flys.
