What ever happened to what Jesus said about marriage? This is an awful idea. Marriage licenses should be banned all together. The Bible says that God hates divorce, and a renewable marriage license would be the same as a divorce if the couple decided not to renew. The states have no right to legislate what God has ordained. Nor does a couple have any real obligation to have to even bother with a marriage license. God is the witness to the covenanat, not the state.

i think you should run this before congress and see if you can get it to pass. i know a lot of guys that would vote for it. then they could lower some of these other taxxes. like on cigarettes.
