I thought these were pretty cute, but I also wanted to suggest that I think it would have looked really cute to have made those buttons look like ornaments. If you had an ornament stamp you could have stamped that first then put the button over it, or just used those handy markers to draw little bows at the top and then string straight up to look like they are hanging from the top of the card. I really like these ideas though, I may use it!!!!

OMG I love that pen set!!! Where did you get it???

I would think that the chisel/slanted tip would be easier to use for someone who doesn't do calligraphy very often...do you think so? Sometimes it's hard to keep a normal calligraphy pen at just the right angle to get the right lines.

Did you take a calligraphy course, or are you self-taught? Your writing skills are magnificent!

I never write directly on the card, I write on a smaller piece that I then adhere to the card, just in case I mess up LOL

A little bit of both. I took a very short class over ten years ago. Since then I've been just practicing on my own. :)

i have an obsession with pens! and i have the same types of pens from different brands. i have SAKURA, Faber-Castell and Staedtler. i know for sure that you can buy SAKURA in america not so sure about the others, i but all mine here in europe. but the brush tip is defiantly the best from Faber-Castell but i think for the different thicknesses i like staedler the best, nice black and it doesn't fade. i use them in school a lot for notes, thick for titles thin for writing and of course doodles!
