mmm. I saw a Lynx in Peterborough chasing a fox of all things. I used to be an escort driver many years ago, so out all night sitting in the car was part of the job. Out of the bushes sprung a decidley panicked fox, followed by (not too closely, or too keenly for that matter) a Lynx...it was definitely a moment I'll always remember. IU have no doubt these creatures roam our countryside. Irresponsible 'owners', with more money than sense.
@La77a Yup, I believe you because I've also seen a lynx - about 15 years ago near Loch Earn in Perthshire, clear as day and only about 30ft away from me. You just get tired of seeing the looks of disbelief on people's faces over the years and eventually keep it to yourself. But they are there people, they are there.
oh no run for your life its a slow buffering video with a bad connection... and some idiot is brave enuf to record it with a can corder... there is always one who likes to dice with death in this lack of broadband world
actually no i didnt see it on monster quest my work m8 called ferret told me as he used to have some big cats in lincolnshire but he paid to have them putdown.

I saw a cat in me yard around 3 in the mornin when i went out with me wife because me horse was neighin and a big black feline jumped at me wife may she rest in peace
ofcourse abc's exist, its all to do with when they changed the laws. years ago it was legal to own big cats eg panthers leopards and others cause of a loophole in the law, but when that changed the owners had to pay lots of money to have thier cats put down or rehomed, many just opted to set them free. not all of the freed animals would of survived but nature will always find a way
once my mum went out in the evening to shut our greenhouse door cos it kept banging in the wind. she turned round and saw a big black cat. she just looked at it for a few seconds and shit herself and ran back in the house.
that week there were loads of reports of a big black cat in the area. she reported it to the local radio station. it was seen by another person on our street. we lived in a rural area in essex.
Wow you are so lucky to see an ABC, i've never seen one, although i do hope to study cryptozoology in the future once i can get myself into university...
it does look like a cow at the start but then if you watch the way it moves carefully you notice that it isnt. The shoulders hunch up as it walked and the tail is much to long. It the little things that count when recognising an animal.
I'm on the north coast of Sutherland and, while I have never senn an ABC I have seen a few very odd looking sheep kills. All stripped of skin, necks broken or pulled off and, in the most recent case,a dead sheep untouched nearby.
Do big cats have an aversion to carrion?
Years ago a live puma was caught in a cage up here.
ABC's do excist , me and my friends recently went to Cornwall in search of one because we are so amazed by them , we found plenty of tracks but never found a cat. Also I remember that puma being caught , i believe its stuffed now?
I've spoken to people around the village who have seen them, including our former policeman. There have been sightings here for 26 years. If you head south of our village you can walk for nearly forty miles without seeing a person, road or any kind of building other than a bothy or forestry shed.
I don't think there's a controversy, there are big cats in the British countryside. Rare and elusive, but they are, demonstrably, there.
It look like a Lynx yet it has a tail, you can vaguely see dark tips to the ears. You don't state where the film was taken from or at what angle, so difficult to make an assessment, but the body does seem to be more thickset and deeper in the chest than the average moggy.Well done, Keep filming!
Whats going on, are cats that were domestic just breeding to be larger and larger once they're in the wild for a few generations? This ain't bigfoot, everyone, its very possible. There's been good documentation about 'feral cats'....and most of those look like housecats. But in the wild nature adapts itself to itself....
I suppose no-one can say definitively what it is, but from 14 seconds onwards it certainly starts to look like a big cat to me. I'm convinced they're out there...my Mam so two big black cats in East Yorks and she is a complete skeptic.
This is deff not a domestic cat. I replayed this a dozen times. I have saw wild cat, in Aug 2006 as has my 2 boy's and my nephew. When we looked through the binoculars my son just about smashed the window he got that much of a fright he threw the binoculars away lol. I've saw it once and I wont stop looking it was fantastic. I'm always at the windows and out in the car looking now and I wont stop til I get my proof. Soz Dr what ever this is no domestic cat, when I get Doc I'll post them. x
Interesting. At the beginning of the footage it looked little more than a domestic cat, but when it moved over a little and I could see the the back of it, it looked much larger.
I believe these animals are out there all over the Uk and Ireland, but i'd still like to see one for myself, as conclusive proof to me.
jazza ... i thought the same to start with but notice its a recording of a CCTV monitor AND!!! DR Moore what domestic cats live in your area the thing takes up the whole path!!!! noticing 17 secs into the clip
That could have been taken in a safari park just cause the car in front when you drive round the big cat enclosure .

Judging by the planting on the right of shot, this is an average sized moggy. The car in the foreground is creating an illusion of size.
