this is my very first album i bought as a kid.( still have the vinyl)... i must've been about about 9 or 10 yrs old..those years it was hard to find this kinda music in south africa..this started my love affair with jazz and brass. Brilliant!!

I can remember when A friend worked in a record store that I used to frequent.. He gave me a promo copy of this album. I played it til it was worn out.. I have been a herb fan since about 3 years old, and almost 47 now.. I love this mans music.. meeting him in 1979 was a memory I will carry for life.. I love herb and his work.

I can remember hearing this song in the summer of '81 between my freshman and sophomore years in high school. Sounds just as good today as it did then - better even today. I love Herb Alpert, especially his classic period from the '60s as well as his late '70s through mid '80s period. Magic man is almost hypnotizing.

Me imagino que ese tema del que tu hablas es "Rotation", del album de Herp nombrado "Rise". Es un tema que al principio te confunde, pero despues descubres lo diferentes que son uno del otro. Yo he sido un fan absoluto de la musica instrumental desde ninho. Hace muchooooo. Cuando descubri la musica de Herb, en la decada del 70, se convirtio en uno de mis favoritos interpretes de esa musica. Para mi nunca ha pasado de moda.
