just a beautiful song and lyrics (Bergquist/Detweiler): You're my water You're my wine You're my whiskey From time to time You're the hunger On my bones All the nights I sleep alone Sweet intoxication When your words Wash over me Whether or not Your lips move You speak to me Like an ocean Without waves You're the movement That I crave And in that motion I long to drown And be lost not to be found You're my water You're my wine You're my whiskey From time to time
Angels speaking thru music! And the violin/chello thing makes me cry. It is such a sad sounding instrument perfect for this song!Beautiful! My dad introduced me to this band and I really like this!
Breathtaking, as always. One of THE MOST raw, honest, and mature songs ever written.
As for the comments prior, lmao @ "hush now...the adults are talking". Perfect response, to someone who is clearly too immature to even begin to comprehend the greatness of this live performance, the album from which it derives, or especially the intensely honest way in which a couple worked out their problems and shared some of that process with us.
its not that i dont love the newer stuff like this but.....the good dog bad dog (home recordngs) is even more incredible, blow away bring a box of tissue type album
the whole record is about how their marriage was falling apart from being on the road too much. their way of counseling was sitting down everyday with a bottle of wine at night, pounding it, and talking like they've never met...thus the creation of the album "drunkards prayer"
either you aren't gay, have never been married or at least not long, or you have no ability to distinguish between splitting a bottle of wine and being and alcoholic. Either way... hush now, the grown ups are talking!
she's incredible... i just saw them for my second straight cornerstone. my favorite of the whole thing. David Crowder was awesome, but he can't sing like this... :)

This comment has received too many negative votes show
someone in the band better be an aocholic, i love the song, but a non addict shouldn't speak of anything realating to alcoholism

This is a lot more poetic than mainstream Christian music. It feels more personal and inspired.

Agreed. Something raw and unassuming, kind of fresh but familiar at the same time.
