Anyway, yes, her lifespan does matter. If she's destined to live for a thousand years, she WILL live for a thousand years. The only way to kill somebody before their lifespan runs out is by a Death Note.

Whats so odd is that the anime looks exactly like this. Every scene has the exact same picute from here just colored in with movement. I hadn't ever read the manga so its kinda interesting.

And the ending was very satisfying and dramatic, I was pleased.

besides ryuk did light a favor, he didn't want light to die in prison so he had him die at the abandon buiding! rather die there than prison, its shows that even ryuk had some respect for light, had he not he would have let light die in prison, which woul,d have been more sad, so yeah I would say ryuk heart was in the good place out of respect, deep down ryuk did somewhat respect light being a shikigami!

Ryuk told light from the beggining that using the death note has dire consequences, telling light that he will learn evenually what they are, as his death was basically foreseen. light was a poor misguided kid who thought to better the world from evil, but in turn became that evil, but seeing his expression when he died kinda told us that he learned from his foolishness!

I doubt it. Ryuk told him once you die you go to nu; nothingness. Apartenly it applies to everyone regardless if you use the death note.

It's real that the user of the Death Note can't go to heaven or hell, but Ryuk said that heaven & hell don't really exist. Light is not a God... he's just a human, corrupted by the evil power of the Death Note. I was sad when he died because he was the protagonist at all, but he couldn't win. The world can't have such a monster as a leader... well, world doesn't need a leader, we're in democracy XD !

From what I heard it's to come out next may or something. You all may have your own suspicions, but I'm going to believe that there's more to the story. . . They can't just leave it there, at that ending.

At the end that girl (I'm to assume is misa) is praying to Kira. . . that's too big of a loose end to leave. I'm going to do research on this.
