  • You hair is wunderschön

  • Just used this method and it worked perfectly. I was scared from the idea of cutting my own hair, because I don't trust myself. lol But I followed exactly what you did and I had no problems. :D Thanks!

  • Are you a hairstylist??

  • @Mrmonja08 No ;) It's just my hobby to give tips for maintaining and styling long hair :)

  • my god your hair is beautiful <3

  • would this work with hair with layers??

  • I like this! I only wish I could see it facing the camera. Especially when you add levels. Great hair by the way! And very well instructed.

  • Oh very easy tip thanks

  • Die Grafik ist ja genial! Vielen Dank! Ich finde es total hilfreich, wenn man auch weiß, warum man welche Technik anwendet, aber leider wird sowas viel zu selten erklärt. xxx

  • so good رائع جدا والله

  • This is such a helpful video!

  • Does anybody know if you could have a u-shape w/layers? I have layers in my hair that I love, but I hate the v-shape I have. Would I be able to do this and not lose my layers?

  • I pull this video up every 6 monthes or so :D Its so great! Everytime I follow your steps, my husband doesn't understand how I did it! :D

  • I LOVE your hair!

Thank you for this tutorial, I'm so happy cuz I found this!

    i can't wait to try it ^-^

  • How do you cut the ends in step 1 - straight or at an angle? You can answer me in German if it's easier for you, I will understand.

  • @chebellamelodia I cut it straight, sorry I forgot to mention it. I'll add it to the video, too. Thanks for your comment :)

  • nice hairs...by the way...!!!

  • how cool! thanks for the video :)

  • Oh my gosh , you did really good , im gonna go try this right now !!!

  • U cut has been my hairstyle for years THIS TOTALLY WORKS, just cutted, and it went perfecly. Beautyful U cut. Thank U soooo much for sharing. This saved me seriouse money in the future.

  • wow!!! you resolved my problem with my doughter's long hair. save me some money. thank you

  • I think your a guy. Your arms and hands give it away!

  • @LearnCheer ikr and when u see the face on the side it looks like a tranny face !

  • I am growing my hair and I just did this to get rid of the dead ends. It's great! I will save so much money from getting trims at the hair dresser, thank you! you have AMAZING hair. This way I can control how much I cut off, the hair dresser ALWAYS cuts wayyy too much. For a drastic change I will still go to a salon though. thanks again, you're a star! X

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH~!!!! I CUT MY HAIR FOR THE FIRST TIME AND IT LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN WHEN I GET MY HAIRCUTS FROM A SALON!!!! THANK YU!!!!! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • You have nice hair ! I also trim my own hair except I cut it 3 months ago and I regret it: ( but I save money doing so about 45 dollars which is how much they charge me. My hair started to thin and fall coming from someone who always had long thick course hair! I tell myself every time not to cut it! I hope to grow it out again. Oh well : (

  • turn around!!

  • The most easiest method i ever watched here in youtube.(-: i will try it later..(-: thanks...

  • @Habioku ...do u apply something special on u hair??? :) i love long hair but unfortunately i get split ends after they grow a little longer! any tips???

  • By far the best haircut/trim video Ive seen. It got rid of all my split ends and styled it nicely ;) Plus its so easy!!!

  • i wish my hair was as long as yours (:

  • I am so jealous of your hair..... You got such gorgeous hair. God bless it!

  • Great work!

  • OMGoodness this works so well, what a helper.

  • Finally someone that really helps, I' m subbing U, Might I suggest please use more lighting when making your videos so we can c u better, don't want 2 miss a step. Can u tell I'm a digital video student. ;)))) lol

  • I love this video it was super helpful I cut my own hair for the first time and it came out great

  • beautiful hair

  • your hair is so pretty

  • also, do you know how to speak properly either, because i read your description and you talk like a 4 year old

  • @kkgohard559 If you read her profile, she says that she doesn't speak English very well, because she is German. Though while we are on the subject of speaking English properly, I noticed some errors on your own comment. You may want to read your comments before you submit them, especially if you are going to criticize someone's English.

  • @kkgohard559 I am always amazed at people's ability to get worked up and be so rude, especially regarding something so simple as a video on how to cut hair. Honestly, go outside and go for a run or something.

  • cutted is a word?

  • That is amazing. I am so jealous of your hair! How do you keep it so shiny?

  • Beautiful =)

  • You're blocking view of cutting hair. Your arm is in the way most the time and makes it difficult to see what angle your cutting.

  • I did with wet hair ! the result is the same. After drying them, I managed to trim easily ! Thanks a lot for this video !

  • Why don't you ever show your face in videos?

  • If I want a shallow U-cut, how much should I lean my head forward in step 2? Or does this not affect things?

Thank you for this video! I am needing a trim and do not trust hairdressers.

  • wow your hair is sooo beautiful!!!! :)) thank you so much this video is now in my favorites so I can go back to it if I want one of your different shapes and I love that i can just do this at home sooo easy. thank you heaps :) takecare :)

  • Thank you

  • wow lonq hair

  • Can I do this when its wet??

  • Gorgeous hair. So shiny!

What kind of brush and comb do you use?

  • ever thought about going short??

  • my hairz lyk half of urs.i so envy u..gorgeous hair.. loved them.what shampoo and oil u use..? u mind giving some tips please?

  • You have the same hair as me

  • Wow this is the best I've seen and I actually trust your tips x thanks. Keep it up

  • I have curly hair and I did the deep v cut when my hair was wet, I just brushed it straight down and held it tightly to keep it straight when I cut it, my hair came out so nice, and the v cut looked professional ...

  • This is a great simple way to cut your own hair your brilliant.

It took me a while to look for you

  • This is a great simple way to cut your own hair your brillant

  • Awhm I used to have hair like you......

But then I all of the sudden became REALLY stupid and started dyeing and layering and highlighting and DAMAGIN my hair, and then after loads of depression I got Alopecia, and now my hair is all damaged and thin....

  • Nice done! (Y)

  • Netjes gedaan! (Y)

  • Maybe you dont like this question since you dont show your face, but are you asian? I ask because asians usually have really thick straigh hair, very different from mine.

  • This really works!! Thanks for the vid

  • it work.. thanks lol

  • What do you do if you want an A line instead of U of V

  • this is the best tutorial ever!! thank you so much!! i've been looking for it all day!! .. just great. thanks

  • you have beautiful hair!!! *-*

  • do you use the same method if you want layers in your hair? I realized you have shorter hair that frames your face, how do you do that?

  • this turned out really well! ^_^

but how about if I have wavy hair?

  • wow, you did a phenomonal job!

  • @tanksmom7 What's the problem? She's not a native speaker. What about you? Can you speak her language?

  • YOU NEED TO TALK

  • Thanks a lot! Really helpful

    BTW gorgeous hair ^_^

  • Watched this video yesterday and wanted to try it but was a little afraid to go through with it in fear that I'd mess up; so I slept on it and I today I decided to try it. I did what she did and cut it when it was a little greasy and with my hair being curly, wavy and straight all at once & different sections, having it be greasy helped it be straight.

I can honestly say this is one of the best haircuts I've had in a long time, I only did step one and wanted the Deep V shape.

    It looks amazing!

  • how often should i trim my hair? I am trying to grow it out long and beautiful. Also what kind of coconut oil do you use? Is it an essential oil? Do you use normal aloe vera as well? Thanks for your help. Also do you think brown hair can turn blonde using blonde henna?

  • In step 1, do you cut straight across the ends or is it at a certain angle?

  • thank you.. i tried this and OMG it works and looks great... i bet i saved at least $30 just cutting my hair at home..

  • My god your hair is soooooo damn beautiful *-*

    I'm so jealous!

  • Your hair is so beautiful!

  • It's a little more difficult to do with super thick hair.

  • What can I do if I want to trim also my Layers to maintain them also? Not a big chop, just a little trim like you did to your hair length. Is it the same method for trimming the ends of the layers?? I do need layers because I have a lot of hair, and having it all one length makes it look just too full, I have wavy hair. Please explain what can I do to also trim the ends of my layers!!

  • Thank you so much for this video! I am trying to grow my hair waist length for almost 3 years, and I always ended up with the same length! And it was because my hair stylist was trimming a lot of my length each time I went, even though I always told her how much to cut! I'm never going back to a hair stylist after seeing this video, I tryed this trimming today and it ended perfect! I'm so happy I can control now how much I trim!

  • Any hair products you recommend?

  • You have amazing hair :O

  • when you put your hair into a pony tail, are you already looking down or do you look down when you're pulling the hair tie down?

  • are you supposed to cut the sides and the back the same amount? like if you cut an inch off of the sides when you cut the back are you also supposed to cut an inch?

  • hey, i like this video and it is really helpful but i also want to know how do u keep your hair so beautiful cuz it really looks gud :)) so yeah, plz respond. THNX AGAIN!!

  • This is such a helpful video! I especially like the diagram where you outline what each step does :) If I part my hair to one side, where I have more hair falling to the left than to the right, do I part my hair down the middle to trim still? Or should I cut with my part?

  • @UTRoscoe If you wear you parting usually on one side, you should cut your hair in this position, too.

  • ur hair so gorgeous ............

  • Deine Haare werden immer schöner und länger! Bitte lasse DIch nicht dazu bringen, Dich von ihnen zu trennen - das ist eine viel zu schöne Pracht, um der Schere zum Opfer zu fallen... :)

  • Do you have to have straight hair for this to work?

I have naturally wavy hair, and I would really to know If I have to straighten it before trying this.

  • @iPaoProductions No, you don't have to straighten your hair, just do the cut with wet hair and hold your hair straight between your fingers like I do. On Feye's site (infobox link) there are natural wavy hair, too.

  • Thank you so very much for this instruction! You gave me the confidence to do it and by following your guide my hair trim turned out great! Thank you so much!!

  • each time you cut, are you cutting straight across each time?

  • Outstanding self-trimming tutorial!

  • looks like a Greek Deese

  • Very cool video, and you are gorgeous btw.

I'm a guy who's never had long hair but I've started growing not long ago (always used to have a buzz but am sick of it). It's still not long but in a couple of years it should be long enough and I'll have to trim it myself because I don't trust anyone else to do it (especially on guys, there's a prejudice with some people) so this should really come in handy (not now, but later on!) thanks a lot.

  • Wow thanks that's really helpful! You have gorgeous hair!! I really love it! :)

  • I tried this out today and I wasn't expecting such great results!

    thanks for uploading this

  • I am a guy with long hair. It is not straight but wavy and sliver (yeah, I'm old). After watching your great video and your beautiful hair, I am inspired to trim my own ends. My thoughts are to use a flat iron to straighten my hair before trimming in order to get a more even cut. Please tell me your thoughts on that. Thanks!

  • I usually do both sides but look straight ahead and it kind of gives me some rounded edges similar to a U shape, just not as prominent.

  • thank you^^ wanna cut my long straight hair a little shorter - glad i found your video :)

  • Do you straighten it?

  • @taylorlautnerfan1699 No, I don't straighten it, my hair is natural straight.

  • Your hair is beautiful and I LOVE THAT SHIRT!

Thanks for this video I was always a little confused by Feye's trimming method when it was just pictures

  • Almost everyone can tell stories about haircuts gone wrong - with gentle self-trimming one simply avoids the problem of finding a trustworthy hairdresser...

Your mane is beautiful, Habioku! :)

  • thanks for this video, i will be trying it now. i started to follow your before bath routine using olive oil for 1 week and i can see the difference now. i wat to have the same hair as yours, long, shiny and healthy. i really learned a lot from your vids ;). can't wait to see more and more...;))).

  • Excellent tutorial, Habioku! You explained the step by step process very well. Nice diagram too. Your hair always cooperates with you, as if it's alive! ;)

  • Your hair is stunning! So shiny and smooth! Gorgeous! Thanks for the video!

  • beautiful, loving the length can't believe how long it's getting. I hope you keep growing it out at least to your ass.

  • Thanks for your very detailed directions. I also like the U cut. My hair looks similar to yours now that it's layered although mine is a bit shorter. I never regretted cutting my all one length to a layered look a couple of years ago, just that I had the stylist cut sev. inches off and she did a V cut both times I saw her. My hair would be SO long now otherwise. Now I'm cutting it myself for the first time and growing the layers out once again and for the first time my bangs as well.

  • thnxxxx

  • I cut with feyes' method, too =)

    though I haven't trimmed in... 1 1/2 years now^^

    I like a U-Shape, as well.

Thanks for the vid =) so nice

  • @Godiva6666 what's feye's method

  • @twiity86 Lol, that's what this video is about ;) it's in the title, even. it's what the girl in the video is doing.

  • @Godiva6666 ohhhh lol thnx nyways : )

  • You did a gorgeous job. :) I use Feye's method for a blunt cut, though I plan to U-trim when my hair reaches its goal length. Thanks for this!

  • Thanks for this, Now I see things way better than when I was looking at Feye's pictures;) And I am in love with your hair. It's like a mirror. Fantastic! :)
