You know, Americans are scoring lower and lower on international tests score. The ignorance that is prevalent in the United States is remarkable. This museum is the epitome of that ignorance. How can a fact be interpreted differently? You either believe in the science or you believe in the Bible. Either way, one contradicts the other. One is supported by facts - scientific fact. The other is supported by - nothing. So which one is most likely the truth?
On what day did God create cancers and diseases for innocent children? They dont tell ya that one eh? When will we learn that passing on this nonsense to children is going to continue to bring down the country.
As a "fundi" Christian, even I say the Creation "Museum" is a sham! I do believe in Biblical Creation, BUT, scientific evidence MUST not be ignored. Yes, our earth is 4.5 bill. yrs. old. NO, man & dinos didnt live together. Yes, there was a flood of Noah, NO it wasn't global (it was regional). So, how can I a Christian accept BOTH the Bible AND science? Rather than me explain it, you can Google "ANSWERS IN CREATION" and see a page that shows science & the Bible ARE compatable without conflict!
This is what's known as Foundational Bias being used to present a False Dichotomy in its most misleading form. If the creationist view had any merit, Ken Ham wouldn't market his materials and "museum" to a layman audience.
The first confimed by all scientific research and knowledge and physical evidence.
The other with no evidence at all, rejected by the entire scientifc community based loosely on the personal interpretations (spelling?) of a 2000 year old manuscript.
But they are just "different" starting points, that's all.
If you want to see why America's falling behind the rest of the world you can start with museums like these that see science as a having a certain "viewpoint" that contradicts what you as a good Christian should believe.
I'm actually Christian and believe strongly in God. But why would God want us to be ignorant of the world around us?
When we get people to see science as an attribute to God not a contradiction we will come out ahead as a nation.
You know, it all boils down to what people *want* to believe. If you do not want to recognize that there is a God Who created the earth, then you will find an alternative theory to believe.
Just finished viewing the DVD, "Expelled" with Ben Stein. Dr. Richard Dawkins simply will not believe that the God of the Old Testament exists. He would rather believe that some unknown life forms (aliens) "seeded" this planet than to believe that the God of the Bible created it. Very sad for him.
we do what we can as teachers but we only have your kids for 43 minutes a day. Don't lie to your kids about this creationist/ID crap, it's bad for them and bad for America.
If you get rid of the Creator, you will end up with no real reason for doing right. Your students will be left with no moral foundation. If it *feels* right to them, they will do it. Think about the consequences. Remember the Holocaust.
LOL ...... uh huh ........ the day will come where religion will become extinct ...... and only then will it be possible to live in peace. Your religion is antediluvian and evil ...... Scott Roeder, Paul Jennings Hill, the list is endless and as red as the blood shed in the name of some lunatic's deity ...... get an education
Amng many other experiences, my education includes living in a village - a Godless place - where a public school teacher was hung upside down and left by his students in the gym. He would have died had someone not discovered him. This is a result of rebellion against the truth, which leads to no morality, no respect for other human beings, no compassion.
religious zealots usually fail to reveal details and facts surrounding these types of inventions of the mind, you're a fraud fella. What's moral about a Ted Haggard, Benny Hinn, Scott Roeder, Paul Jennings Hill, John Hagee, and and almost endless list of parasitic televangelists ..... get over yourself
Just because there are many counterfeiters professing to be christians, does not mean there are not true believers in Christ who are interested in doing what is right and obeying God.
[Sigh]...I feel sorry for the children who are subjected to this. I can sympathize with the confusion they'll have about science. I too grew up in this type of belief system, and I was constantly behind in the sciences compared to my peers. I struggled with comprehending the world in which I actually lived against the world in which my church wanted me to live. It's unfair to raise children up in this type of belief system, yet expect them to understand and interact in the real world.
go to DrDino(dot)com and watch the seminars online there. You don't have to have a blind faith. You can have a reasoned faith that the Bible is true. The seminars show hundreds of scientific arguments for a young earth. They also show that evolution is also a faith. Check it out. Another good book is Icons of Evolution by Dr. Jonathan Wells. It debunks all of the things I was taught in school about evolution without even raising the age of the Earth.
Dr. Wells is bad enough but Kent Hovind is one of the worst liars and charlatans out there. His ridiculous statements have been refuted time and again and he hasn't backed off on a single one.
Wonderful place to visit. Many scientists are now seeing that there is no explanation for us, except through Creation. There's no evidence of evolution from one thing to another totally different thing.
The country is regressing. Religion is become so anti-intellect and anti-progress... it's pure insanity.
Reject progress! Reject science! Reject objectivity! We're right, we think you're wrong. The Bible can't possibly be anything other than historical fact !!
Unbelievable that people think this way. It's not thinking. It's strong religious reflex. It's an isolated community of people thinking only they know the world. Delusions of grandeur.
I like the contrast - Creationists start with the Bible, Scientists start with Human Reason. Of course, human reason has given us everything from the Space Shuttle to penicillin, but noooo, the Bible's the way to go.
blah blah blah. i believe in both science and god. i believe in a higher power that exists in my heart. but in my head. no way in hell did some being create this huge world, along with the other planets in our solar system. if we came from god then why was there ever neanderthals? it would be pointless.
Say what you want, Creationism remains popular in this country, and the Creation Museum is very effective. Don't all Americans owe it to themselves to better understand why it is so popular?
If America wants to end up as a non-technological country supplying raw materials and cheap, uneducated labour for the richer countries, this is the way to do it. I had an argument on youtube with an American who said Europe will soon be taken over by Muslims and become a Theocracy. I pointed out that any nation which can allow such as Sarah Palin anywhere near power is in far more danger than we are in Europe. Wake up - whenever these creationists fools speak up, argue with them.
"and we know why suffering happens dont' we, it's because of sin". Your words to a child.
Ok - so all the millions and millions of people that Hitler and other fanatics tortured and killed must have been very bad people indeed.
YOU should be arrested for child abuse for forcing such crap on children. WOW, believe in god OR ELSE!!!! One more thing, be sure to tell them to go to church every Sunday, that way they will feel better about the bad things they have done all week. What hypocracy!!!
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA Omg, I want to visit this place so bad now.
