Had a couple of cds released with Keiran Kane under the group name O'Kanes in the mid 80's. kind of a bluegrass/pop/country sound that was I saw them in person and they were awsome. Great cds. "Daddies need to grow up too". The man also wrote the song "Grandapa" by the Judds. His song "50000 names" is widely recognized as THE Vetnam memorial song...He's a rare talent for sure.
I had this CD agaes ago, it was a one CD wonder and then Jamie O'Hara faded out of the limelight. Very good artist, very good music and to bad he didn't get a lot of recognition for it.
So agreed. Not to take anything away from those guys (Garth turned me on to country as a guy who swore he'd never listen to the genre), but Jamie O'hara is the master storyteller that no one got a chance to listen to. Someday, this record will get its due.
I´m completely fascinated by the music of this guy.I wonder why during the 90´s we spent our precious time listen Garth Brooks or Billy Ray Cyrus when we´ve got this masterpiece called Rise Above It.
@valverdista His songs brought George Jones career back to life ...even though in my opinion Jones butchered both songs...Sorry i got to go, Juanita's callin!
jamie if you're on here, I want to meet you and shake your hand. bravo You gave me hope.
