  • funny

  • If your intent was to give value to the atheists' beliefs that religious people are ignorant, then you succeeded.

  • good, well done.

  • you totally misread his statement hes saying that their is no god but people prey to him so you can prey to an inanimate object and get the same response the only thing wrong with his statement was that religion doesn't help but because of how the brain works it could hes correct in his theory

  • ALL HAIL THE JUG OF MILK!

  • Believing in Jug of Milk is just that, a belief.

  • he never said god didnt exists god also said that he cant effect your free will so there for praying cant do anything

  • Straw man. That is all.

  • your logic shows that God is the jug of milk...nice one.

  • ?????????

  • The point of the video wasn't to question the existence of god.It was to prove that the answered prayer is nothing more than a coincidence and the result of this "yes,no,wait" scheme.

  • I prayed to the jug of milk.... I waited and nothing happened, so I drank the milk and low and behold god turned the milk in to pee. HOLY SHIT! Unicorns must exist. Oh, and prove the color "Xuna" does not exist!

  • Much as I know this was done in sarcastic jest, I do have to say that the guy who did the jug-of-milk thing he would've done better by choosing another fictional character like say Belgarath from the Belgariad and Malloreon series. He also could've done a better job explaining that praying and not praying get exactly the same results at all times. But yeah...anyway. There's no God anyway, and Jug-of-Milk would actually be polytheism at best.

  • Flawed logic is always funny. I like the desperate rationalization and deliberate twisting of the point to hold on to his delusion.

  • ...I don't see your point... You could pray to invisible unicorns and have the same answers. Just because he used something concrete doesn't make god concrete. And, honestly, if you are religious enough to follow your religion, why would you fight for it? I could understand dying for your beliefs, but fighting for them goes against the very beliefs you are fighting for... Get it? Either way.... you just look stupid....

  • look at every religion in the world. millions of people are willing to die for thousands of different gods wether it be buddah, allah, or god. either fucking way thousands of people are wrong and one group is right or no one. take your chances... god isnt real dumb fucks

  • next we r going to pray to computer or something more advance

  • Quite funny. Growing up, imaginary friends were acceptable. As an adult, you are considered mentally insane. Please explain to me why having a "God" you do not see, nor hear from is not considered imaginary, and why you aren't considered mentally insane?

  • @andscrew09

Quite possibly because an omnipotent, omniscient deity would be an excellent way of explaining our perfect, infinite, revolving, self-preserving universe. An alternative to saying wow this was just a giant coincidence and everything turned out immaculately. It's quite pretentious to believe we are the most superior beings in this universe and that nothing could possibly exist outside this plane of existence beyond the limited scope of our 5 senses.

  • man now i'ma get myself some creamy delicious milk lol:):):)

  • It's better to say that if god does exist, he doesn't give a shit about you or your problems. Because either way it would be true.

It's too bad you didn't bring up the fact he called something that has nothing to do with vision an optical illusion. That was the worse part of the video.

  • LOL! I actually didn't thought this was a sarcasm until

    I read the description :))

    Ramen... bro.

  • @BlazzingSaber yeah!...finally, someone who reads the description!

  • it was pathetic the way you tried to make your point.

  • @cowboybebop82 It was pathetic the way you didn't read the description.

  • What Gilvideos was saying was that whatever you pray to, you have the same options as praying to God, so he doesn't exist.

  • hhaha good reaction to his video

  • there is just no way the outcome of those answers will appear false!

  • The Jug of Milk is symbolic for The Almighty. If you were to pray to the Jug of Milk, those three answer would always exist just because of coincidental circumstances. However, praying to a milk jug that obviously isn't responsible for anything miraclulous,is simply absurd. But if you think, praying to an almight being that lives in the sky with the power to do anything is quite absurd as well.Escpecially when all ther is to go on is a fariytale book writen 20000+ years ago.with those three answers..

  • I GOT AN ANSWER FOR YOU: 2 Corinthians 4:18 While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are ETERNAL. BELIVERS KEEP BELIEVING!!! and an Eternal pay-day will come after while!

  • @GrantHys13 Yeh dont use scripture as an answer.. because the bible is not entirely factual and you just look like a fucking idiot. Find some plausible proof to back up your answer (not scripture) and then try again. By the way your quoting from the old testament, proven to contain proponents of Murder and slavery as a result of trivialities. On second thought just shut the fuck up.

  • @disgruntledmodatucka loll, first of all, all that cursing and etc. isnt necessary, we can debate civilly . . . and loll, that is SO NOT old testament . . . its in the new testament.

  • but with all this argument going on, i have lost my original point. it was. "god is no more an all0powerful being than you or I" we all have at least some power, and that power controls our future, and can change the world. everyone is significant in there actions. all it takes is the strive to do something different to help change it for the better, or for the worse if your not careful. im not trying to push my views on anyone. just strive to be better people. we could have a peaceful future.

  • @Evershear a correction. faith is what started the Christian Dark Ages. we lost years of science because Christianity.

  • @Urijahuri The Dark Ages were mainly brought about by the loss of civil infrastructure do to a massive influx of migratory people groups, a.k.a. barbarians.

We would be much worse off today had the church not been able to save much of the knowledge of the ancient world from destruction and reintroduce it in the Middle Ages through the scholastic movement once stable governments had reformed, thus leading to the Renascence and the Enlightenment.

  • @Evershear "Those who suggest that the 'dark ages' were a time of violence and superstition would do well to remember the appalling cruelties of our own time, truly without parallel in past ages, as well as the fact that the witch-hunts were not strictly speaking a medieval phenomenon but belong rather to the so-called Renaissance." — Jacques Le Goff. now good sir, IF you are as correct as you think then you should obviously tell the moderators of Wikipedia, because there page says otherwise

  • @Evershear

care to back that rather hefty claim with some evidence?

you could start by showing ANYTHING, that belief has given to humanity.... and please don't be so juvenile as to respond with cries of "HOPE" and other such non-answers.

something tangible, shouldnt be hard for how great you claim faith to be...

  • hahahaha great video!!! good DOES exist as a fairytale like the wizard of OZ since i can tell his story he exists in some form so god exists in the same form as an imaginary character. I'm glad we all agree. life is great and godlesss

  • the thing is that you can more or less prove that the jug of milk excists, since you can touch, see and feel it :P The "power" or whatever is what you cannot prove. I mean, I can pray to the spaghetti monster and get the same answers, but it does not prove that the monster is real, get it? :P

  • finally and intellegent person someone else who GETS IT!!!

  • i love God but im lactose intollerant >:(

  • @suckyskater21 just be careful, you might get creamed. ha ha.

I like skim milk my self.

  • @Evershear .... huh?

  • @suckyskater21 Sorry, just trying to be funny some times it doesn't work.

  • @Evershear no worries happens to the best of us

  • Lotta kids angry at what they claim doesn't exist, spending time thinking up ways to disprove what the claim doesn'r exist.

How can you prove the nonexistence of what you say doesn't exist?

or be angry at something that doesn't exist.

And then call religious people stupid?

Praying quiets the busy mind and calms the emotions, thats why people do it, praying for money is self centered and God knows which prayers to ignore.

  • For all the morons who dont believe in God, Tell me how the earth was formed and how life was made. that all im asking

  • @chevy700r did you ever heard of a thing called Big Bang?

    I suppose not.

  • @tiiz96 did you ever heard? hahaha

  • @chevy700r the earth was formed from meteors and assteroids colliding with each other life noone know how life started but the bibles story has the least evidence due to it being PROVEN to start with bacteria and the bible says it was all made at once

  • dude you are a repetitive ignorant dumbass.

  • you completely missed the point of the optical illusion. do some damn research. the bible doesnt count. its bullshit

  • zombie jesus loves you, he loves your brains.

  • Damn...You`re idiot...

  • Also, i have looked into and studied all three of the options i gave, Wicca, Prayer, Psychic Abilitys. and i have seen all three work. with the same effectiveness. a prayer of healing is no different then a spell of healing. it is all your subconscious mind doing things for you. not some man in the sky. not magic or anything else. i believe the closest one to the truth are psychics. and VERY soon after i began my own training i got major results. thank you for you retarded 2cents.

  • @Urijahuri

    im calling bullshit,

and if you care to show me up, take the james randi challenge, win a million dollars for proving ANYTHING supernatural...

nobody has ever been able to show shit all in a lab... weird hmmm?

  • @Arteanor Wishing is wishing, under whatever purview you see it as, Prayer, Psychic Ability's, and Wiccan Spells. all use the same basis, i have studied all three. it is the same technique used in different manners. though they all use YOUR OWN power to fulfil it, the statement from christianity is true "if ye had the faith the amount of a mustard seed, you can move mountains" the power comes from within us, the power to change the world is in our hands, not in some fable of a big man in the sky

  • @Urijahuri

"Prayer, Psychic Ability's, and Wiccan Spells. all use the same basis,"

agreed, and that basis is... GULLIBILITY and SELF DELUSION. there is no evidence for the claims you are making, you have also completely ignored my invitation for you to take the randi challenge... come on, a million dollars, and all you have to do is make ANY measurable reading with any of the 3 things you claim to have studied...

faith is idiocy. faith/idiocy moves, us to the dark ages, not mountains.

  • @Arteanor choose what you will to follow. i will do no such thing as to try and prove myself for you. the pure fact that i have seen proof with my own eyes and believe in it myself is enough for me. im not trying to push my ideals and view-point onto you. i have seen the power of ones own mind, and i have felt the higher-mind give me knowledge so that i may help those i care about. i do not follow the christian beliefs but i do follow my heart and my Mind (not my brain). see it as you will.

  • @Urijahuri

yes yes, whatever you have to tell yourself, you and i both know that you cannot prove the claims being made, and that any serious attempt would crush your ability to believe the opposite... i understand that your ignorance is more comfortable for you, and i don't begrudge you that.

you have only seen the power for your brain run out... when we run out of explanations, we make up new ones. do some research.

  • @Arteanor haha you make it out like im following some self glorious religion. no i follow what i have seen, no strings attached. i will not fight you on your beliefs and i find it quite childish and ignorant that you are choosing to shun and defy me upon my beliefs, that are not based upon a book written thousands of years ago. but the the things i have seen and felt. science cannot tell you everything, the supernatural is real, if it is not so then what is sciences answer for existence?

  • @Urijahuri

"i will not fight you on your beliefs and i find it quite childish and ignorant that you are choosing to shun and defy me upon my beliefs"

wow, thats a really great strawman there,,, who said i shunned you? and what exactly am i defying?

i said you have no evidence. would you care to provide some? and i also gave an incentive.

"that are not based upon a book written thousands of years ago. but the the things i have seen and felt" -which are subjective and fallible.

    science>you

  • @Arteanor your shunning and defying is your trying to fight to make me change my beliefs which i do not see as necessary, i understand you atheist beliefs and i accept that you believe in them. now why do you try to argue that i am wrong when i never said i was right. i said i believe in what i will, and you believe in what you will. but to the point you failed to answer my question. what has Science told you your existence is for? to "prove others wrong on youtube?" or some other thing.

  • @Urijahuri

"your shunning and defying is your trying to fight to make me change my beliefs"

there you go assuming things... its great when you can tell me how i am feeling, and what my intentions are isn't it? not very fair tho.

i never tried to make you change your beliefs. i just pointed out that your beliefs, lack evidence. and since you have spent so long crying about it, instead of showing some, im going to bet you dont have any.

science says: prime directive? reproduction, duh.

  • @Arteanor your arguements over my so called lack of proof are ignorant and pointless, for i have the proof i need. and what others say is pointless. trying to say that it is NOT real IS in fact trying to make someone not believe in it good sir., and to your prime directive, arent we OVER-populated already. and by said standards isnt every creatures "Prime Directive" Reproduction. just because we have reproductive organs does not mean that is our soul purpose, like the civilizations we now have.

  • @Urijahuri

"your arguements over my so called lack of proof are ignorant and pointless,"

thats a clever bit of thought gymnastics, whatever helps you sleep girl.

"for i have the proof i need" that you can't show to anyone?

"and what others say is pointless" spoken like a true ignorant.

"trying to say that it is NOT real IS in fact trying to make someone not believe in it good sir." i didn't say that though... learn to read, i said your claims lack evidence.

  • @Arteanor Only those worried of what others think of them, care what others have to say. i dont. i dont care what people think of me. and thus i do not listen to "insults" and they do not bother me. the proof i have seen with my own two eyes, am i to pull my memories from my head? pop my eyes out and try to show you what ive seen. and i just wished to make clear your perspective of your life. however worthless you see it for yourself. by having some other meaning i was hoping to strike something

  • @Urijahuri

"and to your prime directive, arent we OVER-populated already"

    yup, your point?

"and by said standards isnt every creatures "Prime Directive" Reproduction"

yup, the rest is what you make of it.

" just because we have reproductive organs does not mean that is our soul purpose, like the civilizations we now have. " says who? you? why should anyone care, you believe things without cause, what makes this any different than your self comforting delusions?

  • @Arteanor something more along the lines of making tomorrow a better place or something. but if you wish to have simplistic views of your goal in life, to "make babies and then die" then do as you will. but what happens when our "reproduction" destroys the planet we call home, when we have littered and polluted every inch of this place to such a degree it has reached a state of un-inhabitable. then all your reproduction will be for naught. none the less i have grown bored of this. cya later.

  • you are quite the fool, the three answers are all random. he used the milk jug as a VISIBLE object that we know has NO power WHATSOEVER and you got one of the three answers. meaning it was all a random occurrence of events, also your "Prayer"

can also be answered via some things like Wicca or Psychic abilitys. they are all diffenert means to the same goal. Praying(wishing) to some imaginary man in the sky just makes you seem stupid.

  • man, youre so stupid, i think your nails have more neurons that your brain...

oh, and i dindnt enjoyed the video.

  • I'm going to pray to a magical unicorn now. OMG IT HAS YES NO OR WAIT AND THEREFOR IT EXISTS

  • Evershear, tou're a prat

  • he said theoretically

  • aaarrrrghh.

  • This is what happens when a Christian tries to use his brain. He has spent so long letting "Jesus" do his thinking for him, he can't compose a simple rational thought.

Religion is truely for the mentally lazy.

  • Dude praying to god is like praying to a jug of milk. Meaning, no matter what or (any imaginary person you believe in) you pray to, Its just the same answers, you just deny it. How will you know if "god" or "milk" answerd your prayer? You wot know your just going to assume and believe in it more, because it came true to what you prayed to. Just coincidence

  • i do belive in god and panicusvalgaris is a retard

  • @EternalShadow50 Please, retards aren't stupid. Why insult people who have disabilities to make a point?

  • pardon, then i mean stupid. i don't even recall commenting on this. and i didn't mean to insult people with disabilities

  • hahaha i loved this. Amen!

  • he does have a point, even if off the subject a little...

  • I like this video.

    I just wanted to add.

    I believe in big jugs.

  • What a reatard! I can't believe this! People like this are one more reason why I don't believe in "god" .

  • Well, he did say it was sarcastic in the video info. And no, this isn't really a valid argument for the exsistence of God. If you really want to look into the argument, there are better resources by better sources.

  • I like your response, its good, Go check out my comments on it, i dont have a camera, so i didnt have a way to verbally tell what i wanted to say, so its like a mini book on there, lol

  • actually makes more sense than you all think, no hard feelings. see why: one philosopher said: "If we say that there is no Truth, obviously that is true. And, if is true that the Truth does not exist - Truth exist!" He said that to prove that God exist. sorry if there are mistakes. SO, if you think about if, something does exist, but what form or witch of all religions - does it matter? no.. because the word of God is a word of Love - how great the world could be if we all belive?

  • haha this is the worst argumnt ever, i don't think you're doing christianity any favours here my friend

  • Any religion that sincerely promotes love and peace is fine by me.

  • having proof of logic between a material object and a fictitious character in a book, based off an analogy is idiotic. it's like saying "the father, the son, and the holy spirit are like water.. you have steam, ice, and water itself." but aren't they supposed to not be the same thing? it's all "god" but they're different.. well water is the same. you can have a piece of ice that you melt to liquid, then heat up to steam. it is the same thing, in different forms, but it's not the same concept.

  • I just prayed to a unicorn that I wouldn't have to warm my dinner up. And guess what? My spaghetti is still warm bitchezzzz!!!!! Looks like unicorns are real too.

  • @TonightWeFeast According to this guy, even if you got a no or wait from the unicorn it proves they exist; My Magic Eight ball does the trick for me. More variety in response.

  • Anything dat u can't see doesn't dat it does not exist. Who follow this logic y do they belive in love , air u breath, there r tones of things which we can't c. The logic is human Body parts are not strong enough to handle anything. Like ur ears, the can only listen up to the limit. Eyes limited vision and God is not human or like human remember dat.

  • God is everywhere but our eyes does not that much capacity and not stonge enough to c him. How long can u guys look at the sun. Maybe not even 1 min. We can not c with naked eyes. We only c up to the limit.

That's wat it happen when parents or prist or anyone with knowledge can not give answer to kids question.

  • Mr.1988roma Can u creat mosqito live. So how can u say humans r (nawzobillah) better then God.?

  • Offcousr if u pray monstor u ll act like him.

  • Sir at one place u r wronge dat pray can't do nothing by it self, without pray how can u change ur self? The step is pray. No doubt we also need to act with prays. The more u pray the more changing u ll notice but make sure wid pure heart.

  • ur all dumb why are u fighting over something so stupid just belive wat u wanna belive

  • ahhhn... what if i prayer to monsters... hun...?? what about it? what happens is that people've created an imaginary god, and, if u pray to it, u are praying to something which does not consistently exists...However, when u pray to a jug a of milk, u know that it IS a solid object, but what does NOT exist in it, are its responses, in form of yes, no and wait... U tried, really, at first i didn't know what to say...

  • why don't all cultures have the same god and religion? because only reason we belive in god is that our intelligence makes our curiosity so strong that we MUST have an answer why we exist and are alive. something intelligent created us we think. when our intelligence reached that point was a long time ago, before science. all the cultures in the world couldn't communicate and since we're all human in different places, we have different gods. it's logic.

  • ok, listen the jug of milk is real and does not answer prayers ofcoarse. and you say that since the jug of milk is real, god has to be real. well that is not true because words are real. god is a thaught or something other imaginary like a thaught but it has it's own word. the word is real, the word does exist. you are praying to a word. so the jug of milk is real and the word god is real. you can pray to the WORD god or pray to the jug of milk. need i say more?

  • BTW.. love the vid. If you can pray to the jug of milk and get a set value for an answer and declare that the milk is real.. then pray to God and get the exact set value for an answer, then this logically makes God more probable.

  • Arson you are the ignorant one here.. Sorry to tell you that just because you follow any religion doesn't decry you to believe the earth is only 6k years old. You can be a theist (believe in God) and an evolutionist (believe in evolution of the universe) at the same time. Go do some research.

  • WOW your so ignorant, what hes saying is thats what happens and you know it. stop being so oblivious. your wasting your life praying to someguy who has the equality of a milk jug! If earth is only 6000 years old then how do you explain the carbon dating from billions of years ago. No wonder why all you hardcore religous people are kept cooped up in some stupid school, so you don't get your head filled with the truth!!!!!

  • it's called a fucking analogy, dumbass.

  • thanks for making this. i hate the fact that the "jug of milk" video is getting so much attention, it in no way disproves god.

  • do you really think that GOD only uses 3 answers? you're saying that we humans can answer in more ways that God? we're superior to God in this? dont make me laugh.

  • actualy everyone in the world only uses 3 answers. If you ask me for $1 i could say yes, no, or wait. If you ask to come over my house i could say yes, no, or latter. If you ask for death i could say yes, no, or latter. Every question can be answered with yes no and wait.

  • Guys, READ THE FUCKING DESCRIPTION!!! He is saying that he is being sarcastic. Come on, it's obvious. The truth is, NO ONE knows if God exists or not.

  • all matter is energy condensed through a slow vibration, we are all of once conscientiousness experiencing ourselves subjectively there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. There is no jug of milk. :) only energy, energy is light, matter is energy. We are all one in the body of god - conscientiousness the I AM

  • logic fail

  • this guy has a point lol and logic is the same thing as commen sense

  • pathetic respone

  • you can see the jug of mily\k, retard. i cant see your imaginary friend

  • EXACTLY!!!!!!!

  • The dude that did "the best optical illusion in the world" was not trying to use logic to argue his point. He was trying to use the jug of milk as an analogy to help illustrate how one might be fooled into thinking their prayers have been answered. I also hope you were just being sarcastic in your intent as you claim because your logic is also flawed, but not to worry as you're still one up on the other guy. I don't think he understands what an optical illusion is.

  • This guy just doesn't get it.

    Typical fundie.

  • I'm new to commenting here...haha...so my response was too long, so I posted it in three parts. As you probably noticed you have to read my responses in backwards order. At least I know how to do it better next time ;)

  • WOW! They have so much more faith than I do...gotta give them credit for that...athiests have much more faith than any Christian ever has had. It's just too bad that it's faith in nothing.

  • It's even more mind blowing that there are humans who are so determined to deny credit to a creator that they will spend a lifetime trying to prove to themselves and others that all we know and see and experience is the result of "chance".

  • Great response! You've got me in stiches. It is always funny to see the lengths that humans will go to in order to try and "prove" that there is no God. I'm amazed at the vastness and complexity of the universe.

  • Funny response to that original video. Its funny to see that atheists say they think logically yet their statements and attacks can be very illogical.

  • im a christian dude!

all i can say is that,

for these kind of people who thinks God doesnt exist have this kind of quote...

    "to see is to beleive"

    ryt?...

    for us beleivers,

    "to beleive is to see"

dude, i beleive in God and proved HE exists!!!!

  • idoit

  • holly crap god is a jug of milk!!!!!!=P

look i belive in science and i think that it's right

sure it's based on coincidence but i think that's beter than to be based on a story ( I hope I dont insult anyone) that u shuldnt... musn't try to proove...

    I just don't buy it...

sure beliving in god probably the more stable but im in to exitment and something being based on coincidence is by far more exiting then beliving that there is someone that runs the place - this one gives me the creeps=P

  • jug of milk is a figure of speech and i did not enjoy this video

  • humans have a need to beleive, a hunger..

I feel so sorry you cant control that hunger Evershear ) = im sorry for you...

  • Just because I get the same three results by praying to a jug of milk as I do to a fictional "god" does not make that fictional diety any more real. By your logic, anything that gives me the same three results (yes, no, wait and see) to my prayers must be real. If I decide to invent a god named gorto and pray to him, then he is real because he answers my prayers with yes, no and wait and see.

  • Can I buy two gods for the price of 1 or $ 4.99 at 711 store like a jug of milk?

  • very true! xx

  • This is a response to a video that tries to say that God doesn't exist because he answers in the same way a jug of milk might. Which is totally illogical. Those are the only responses you can have to a yes/no question. Any other answer would just be a variation of the original three options: yes, no, or wait (maybe).

  • and if that guy that woke up with holes in his hands and feet who moved a big ass rock to escape from a cave exists you look like him

  • nothing really exists, shit just happens, there wouldnt be 88 religions if one were true, a man wrote the bible, someone read it and there you have it, just like star trek has followers, no one separates water with a stick, talks to a burning bush, or goes to church, gets touched on the head and starts shaking,, beliefs are not facts, hence the name, religion is cooked up to keep order, and to sell merchandise, distract us from asking qeustions. bermuda triangle? ever think about that? reply

  • hehe:P I love a sense of humor:)

  • wtf silent bob does talk lol

  • I really thought you were kidding.

The point is that the jug of milk does NOT answer prayers; that "yes, no, and wait" creates an ILLUSION of prayers being answered regardless of whether you pray to an imaginary super-consciousness, or a jug of milk.

Your inability to understand a very simple video is embarrassing, honestly. I'm hoping you didn't actually watch it and come to this conclusion, because that would be a sad state of affairs for you, personally. A child could understand it.

  • ....its obvious he's fucking with him.this guy wouldnt seriously have this simplistic veiw of such a deep subject and also the little jug of milk metaphore or whatever you want to call it, is such an easy thing to grasp and understand. you cant beleive that he is serious this is funny

  • finally someone who understands!

  • The guy in this video is a fool. If I take the jug of milk and do various things with it, I'm able to see, hear, smell, touch, and taste it. No one can see, hear, smell, touch, or taste god. The milk can actually HELP answer more prayers than god. This is because god is imaginary.

  • I am not the fool in this case.

  • But what if the author compare the God to a piece of shit?!

I do not love shit, so I do not love God

  • the original proves that god doesn't answer prayers, and isn't any more powerful than a jug of milk so obviously he either isn't powerful at all or he isn't real

  • why do youtube allow stupid people like you to post video responses?? or better said, why do god allow stupid chimps to live and acces the internet?? :))))))

  • you totally missed the point of the video

it wasnt per say to disprove god

it was to prove that prayer holds no power

  • A LIFE.

    You really need one.

  • God is real...

  • Words fail me. The first 30secs, i thought yes!! finally, one religious person didn't miss the point. But then, he digressed and created something he considers to be sarcastic, but in reality *far* from it. The fact that you even made an attempt to refute a well reasoned argument should've been enough to not bother watching your video.

  • Well, when I started reading the comment I thought that maybe this might be worth reading then I got to the part where they miss the point about my not tring to make a serious video to refute the first one. the fact that you considered the first video a well reasoned argument should've been enough to not bother reading the comment.

  • Yes, No, and Wait... are the only possible answers to any request. Therefore, whatever you pray to (God or Jug of milk), you will always get one of these answers.

    If answer = Yes, yay!!

If answer = No, "God knows whats best.

If answer = Wait, "am waiting for God".

Either one is always true... no matter what you pray to. Can you see the illusion? No?...

    *ugh*

  • The illusion is the belief that the fact of the three answers proves anything positive or negitive on the existance of God or the efectivness of prayers/requests. neither the first video nor my video proves anything other than the fact there there are three possible responses to any request. They pove nothng else and I don't know why they even bothered to post the orgional video. so I decided to make a intentionally funny sarcastic nosensical responce video and that is about all there is to it.

  • you're a christian right?? a beliver?? did you know that only 1/3 of the world's population is beliving in jesus? why do the rest of them not worship jesus?? and why god must be angry?? why do we need to fear his wrath?? after all he's loving us,isn't he?

  • haha that was awesome. i'm glad people are posting responses to this guy claiming god is not real. although it is pointless to argue cause there is a way to get around everything we say on both sides. it's still good to know that people are sticking up for their faith. and my faith.

  • it's kind of the point..it doesn't matter what you pray to, it has no effect on anything...

  • This was one of the more nonsensical retorts to the optical illusion video. I think he just tried to prove that god is a jug of milk.

  • PS "he" refers to Evershear, not the maker of the video.

  • I thought the maker of the movie "The best optical illusion in the world!" was making 2 pts:

1.He presented studies about (the lack of) the effect prayer. He therefore argued that, because prayer has no demonstratable effect, you'd get the same results for praying to a jug of milk. If he did a genuine study he might use the jug of milk as a control condition, as opposed to the experimental condition of praying to God. He does not imply that if the jug exists, God must exist as you put it.

  • cont.

the 2nd point the author makes (im not 100% sure about this one): yes/no/wait simply represent ALL possible outcomes, therefore it EXPLAINS nothing. Only posthoc we interpret the outcome of prayer:

yes: it musthave been God for me if God aswered my prayer.

no: guess it wasnt good for me after all

wait: one of the above aswers at a later point in time

  • one thing you should add well most people have a better chance of getting their wish with God than jug of milk!!!

  • the video was saying that yes the milk exists and if u want to say so then yes god does to but that milk has the same powers as god.

  • lol

  • You know, you wasted 2:16 saying the same thing over and over and over. I get it. You think god exists because milk does.

  • Rolfmao, but still true

  • confusing!! haha :P

  • so this illusion might say something about the church and the people trying to proove god, but not about god

  • you're right. only because the yes/no/wait answers are also proved by a jug of milk it doesn't prove that god doesn't exists. in fact i didn't understand how you could get to the reasoning that god doesn't exist. but what the video you respond to shows is how easy it is for an institution like the church to make up this optical illusion, that's what it is, to convince people easily and take away any doubt about god.

  • he doesn't say god doesn't exist, but that GOD IS IMAGINARY, and that's worse. And... he tries to explain that "yes, no, and wait" are NOT a jag of milk/god answer, but YOUR answer. Jag of milk EXISTS, but not for that purpose, jag of milks exists, you can drink from there. God is imaginary because it's useless for that purpose (of praying), god is imaginary because... you can't drink from there :D (sorry for my bad english)

  • You must be badly stoned there.

  • is this sattire or are you retarted?
