  • @CrestMetro: Hi there. I stumbled upon your video and I thought it was incredibly interesting because I have a little pig of my own who looks identical to Franklin. He is 9 months old now and weighs in at 38 pounds. I'm just curious how much your little one weighs, seeing as he is a few months older than mine. Otis (my pig) loves to jump as well.

    Kindest Regards,

    -Alex

  • He is SO cute!!

  • jerks...he's adorable. and you don't sound like a tool. keep being good to that little guy:)

  • that would be a good target for my bow and arrow... when i am done with it i would love to eat it.

  • @ryanscottbernhardt you realize that you sound like a complete tool when you say things like that.... he's a pet, you backwards thinking honky...

  • is he going to stay that size? I love hiiim!! he so cute!!

  • @UgLyEmOChIcK yes, he's full grown!

    AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

  • SO CUTE !

  • why, if your pig is a boy, is he wearing a pink harness?

  • @ProudToBeVeggie

    Real pigs wear pink.

  • @LedosKell word up... my son, isn't afraid to make fashion statements.... forget GQ... he's PQ!!

  • @ProudToBeVeggie he was too chunky to fit the one we bought him, like a fat baked potato... so we had to temporarily borrow one from my buddy who had a little yorkie...

  • @ProudToBeVeggie That's not pink- it's worn out red/orange :)

  • @ProudToBeVeggie Trivia: pink was historically worn by men only.

  • aww your son looks just like you jk xD

  • If that's your son, I'm not quite sure I want to see the mom......jk

  • Your a good daddy, and your son is precious!

  • THIS pig got chuck norris genes

  • I had the SAME problem containing my mini-pig lol Also,my husband and I call ours our son (we don't have any kids yet)

  • He...Is...So....Adorable!!!!

What a shame people have to make moronic bacon comments whenever they see a cute pig. They wouldn't make eating dog comments....or would they??? (I don't discriminate -- I don't eat any animals at all :)

  • @blakmira I love animals too, but the reason people don't eat dogs is because we have worked closely with them for thousands of years. Dogs have human beings deeply ingrained into their genetic memory. They know us and understand us. Many cultures don't eat dogs for this reason. Other animals are great too. I love pigs. I will still eat them, though. Pigs don't have thousands of years of cultural history with us. They didn't help protect villages from invaders.

  • Where do you get misinformation like "dogs have us ingrained in their memory"?? How about wolf meat? You buy that in the grocery store? It's whatever animal the meat industries want to push.

You do know they just approved horses for meat, right? Are they now on your "hit list" too or are they "ingrained in our memory"? Look up the "carnism" website & stop making absurd excuses for eating animals you claim to "love."

  • @blakmira First off, it's not misinformation. It's scientific fact. Sorry, if you don't like that. Wolves and dogs are not the same. People eat meat because that is what our bodies need. Or maybe you think it's more natural to eat vegetables and then a whole lot of vitamin supplements. And if you think animals are more spiritual and enlightened, and that we have so much to learn from them, then why do they eat each other.....and each other's young......and their own young. Don't judge.

  • @shakesula21 I'll give you a fact. I haven't eaten meat in 27 years. I take no vitamin supplements. Obviously I don't "need" meat. lol

Stop lying to yourself and others at the expense of animals. Now go to the Carnism Awareness and Action Network website and learn some REAL facts.

  • @blakmira You are dodging the subject. What i said is true. I understand that animals are not butchered fairly or properly, but it is also true that animals do things just as foul as humans, and to say that we have so much to learn from them, and that they are so spiritual (at least insinuating over us) would be a falacy)

  • @shakesula21 I've studied the exploitation of animals for 27 years, and believe me, there is no need for any of it. There isn't any market where they haven't been exploited, just to make a profit.

Animals are not here for us to use OR abuse. Please don't reply until you have educated yourself on CARNISM -- it is what you are doing when you continue to defend eating animals, even after realizing it's neither necessary for survival nor beneficial to anyone - ESPECIALLY the animals.

  • @blakmira I apologize for being rude and creating a youtube argument, unfairly. I just think that all animals including humans, get killed and eaten as part of nature. I may not approve of most common methods, but in theory, I do not think it is wrong. That is my opinion.

  • @shakesula21 You are not worth arguing with, because you have a biased point of view and are unable to accept any other information. That's okay. Maybe someday, everyone will stop eating meat, when they realize there is no need for it. Maybe the animals will stop eating each other and their young ALIVE, and humans if they have to. Those enlightened animals that we should be learning from. Let it go. You wanted to pick a fight. You can't win by spouting out "facts" that are entirely

  • @shakesula21 biased to your viewpoint. Very few people in this world would agree with you. And no intelligent ones. Humans eat meat because we are omnivores. If you want to argue that fact, I'll be happy to bury you in substantiated information that can be cross referenced by as many sources as you want. STOP TALKING.

  • @blakmira Now, if I had a pet pig, (which would be great someday) I absolutely would not eat that particular pig.

  • My girlfriend gave birth to a piglet too. When I find the boar that knocked her up...dinnertime

  • What a cute little son! Love the dialogue in this video!

  • pigs are very intelligent

  • Then he ate bacon for breakfast.

  • @MajorBluntz... lame.

  • hes so gorgeous! i love pot bellied pigs, id love to have one but i continually hear you have to have a yard for them to go outside for foraging in.

i want a nice lap pig that can sleep by my feet in my bed and growl at me when i move my legs.

    is that lovely? yes!

  • You and your son will share a bond forever!

  • Wat?! That piglet is huge for 8 weeks. Not fat huge. I mean this doesn't look like a "mini" breed at all, and you're going to have a lot of boar to deal with when "son" grows up. Hope you didn't get ripped off by a stealer.

  • Oh my gosh I would so..... snuggle your son!

  • also does your pig eat stuff that he isnt supposed to off the floor?what do i do to stop this?

  • @denasewell they are pretty agile creatures, more than most people give them credit for. maybe wait a month or so if you're nervous & make sure they are landing on a carpet or a rug. they have a tough enough time walking on hardwood let alone landing on it. yes, he eats stuff off the sidewalk/floor, keep a keen eye, they like gum, rubberbands, etc. i've learned how to safely put my hands deep in his mouth but they REALLY hate it. have you thought about dog/puppy training? we did it!

  • @denasewell what did you expect??They are PIGS!!

  • I have a 4 month old potbelly I rescued ...i worry that he will get hurt jumping off my bed ???I have only had him a month and know little about pigs other than online research ..do you think it is safe for him to jump ?

  • what a cute piggy ^^

  • I love that you call him your son! <3 How sweet...

  • were did you get son from

  • I had a 60-70 lb pig that could jump that easily.

  • adorable!!!

  • hes so cute!

  • lmao!!!I LOVE THIS!

    TOO CUTE!

  • you're such a good daddy! :)

  • How big will he get?

  • He just wants to pig out! Hahah ! Get it? Pig out? Hahahha ... haha ... ha ... ahem ... i'll be over here if you need me.

  • i like how you call em your son...and the proud pat was funny

  • Ha Haa! He's freakin cute. Impressive jump!

  • thats my son!

  • omg what a gorgeous boy!

  • I *love* this video.

  • Better look out, the eastern hemisphere cannot even begin to understand your love of a good pet.

  • that's awesome!

  • how do you know that he's maxed out, being that he's only a year old? From all that I've read and all the people I've talked to, they don't stop growing till about three or five years old. I swear I'm not trolling. I'm actually trying to find a strain of mini pigs that actually get to the size they are supposed to. I'm being super careful because I can't handle a 150 pound "mini" pig, because someone lied to me about its genetics.

  • @FiestyCat86 Some stay small, my pig is 2 years old and she is 17 lbs. We just love her!! Trust me I was way scared she would be a 500 pound babe but we have a farm on 25 acres just in case that happens.

  • I like how he says "My son". lol so cute :)

  • verry funnyyyyyyy next week i have mine mini pig

  • Lol. Son!

  • Nice! You have a really cute pig! Mine jumps up onto the bed with us at night.

  • aww, so cute! I am piggy mama to Moose. He is about 11lbs and 17 1/2 weeks old. Im thinking that he is the same kind of pig that yours is because they look similar. The snout is the same and I am tols that thats how you can tell one kind from another. :)

How is Franklin doing now? How old is he?

He sure is adorable. Thankd for posting.

  • lmao... ive got 2 of them.. that is too funny... wait till he jumps into your lap.....

  • i want to marry you and hang out with franklin all day long.

  • He is cute! I have a boy Sonic and girl Lucy. I'm pretty sure Franklin has some more growing to do, they grow for 3yrs!! Sonic is 63lbs at a year and a half, but still adorable :)

  • That's awesome! What is Franklin like these days? I think Franklin needs to meet Finn.

  • @Pigandthecity, franklin is great... he's maxed out in size and weight at about 20 inches from snout to tail & 26lbs... i know franklin would LOVE to meet finn!

  • its soo adorable how you call him son aww :}

  • FRANKS AND BEANS!

  • WHAT THE hehe how did he do that

  • @1234thehoosiersrock - with ease... that's how... haha

  • you have a beautiful son! he only jumped so dad would be proud of him. i see him holding his head high, "look dad no hands." such a proud little boy.

    what do you feed him?

  • @janellelol Haha thanks! he sure makes poppa proud! We feed him Mazurri Pig Food.

  • franklin rules

  • @oibara2 - no truer words spoken!!

  • I've never seen a potbelly jump like that. He's a special pig. Take good care of him.

  • @gretschjazzer- are you serious? bc this is a regular occurrence... and now at 4 months, he does it with even more ease and grace. my bed is even higher, about 2 1/2 ft. high...
