  • I went to see it on Broadway in New York with the original cast. It was amazing.

  • Intro gave me goosebumps. i <3 Wicked. I like social commentaries, so I adored the book and I'm a Broadway freak so I'm in love with the musical. Overall, Oz-sessed.

  • lol + where's west again? :P

When you say Skins do you mean the British version or do you guys have your own version? I never thought much of the British version. =/

    x

  • There was a cream towel on the bed before but in the end it was blue...so maybe something blue in the background??

  • I might go see Wicked in New York...being in band rocks :)

  • hearing defying gravity gives me chills...still.

  • Bed has to be unmade?

Must be teddybear in the background?

Must be something blue in the the background?

  • i read the book first and love the musical more then the book. the book was painful.

I LOVE SKINS!!!!! live u could review the books that Tony reads in the first series

  • unfortunately, i have yet to read, or watch, Wicked...

but, like you, many people have suggested it.

i think the 'green-ness' just kinda throws me off (?).

  • I WANT TO SEE WICKED SOO BAD..but they dont have it here in Canada :(

  • I can't wait to see Wicked! I'm (hopefully) going once this semester's over!

  • please have a skins week! i don't know what book you would do but it would be so much fun!

  • I wanna see wicked so badly...wanna read it as well...

Is it something to do with wearing black or your necklace?

  • WICKED! <333

  • I have read that book and I plan on watching the musical very soon!

  • I love Wicked! Probably the best show I have seen so far!

I did it the other way around. I read the book after we found out we were going to the show and then I saw it. I agree that the musical was better, but it was a lot eaiser to get through the book before I saw how EPIC Wicked was!

    GOOD CHOICE AMY!

  • I love Idina Menzel's voice so very very much. I really hope they somehow get her for Glee, it would be too much fun.

  • I agree. The musical was beyond fantastic.

The book was good...i guess. It was very hard to follow and made me feel less smart for not understanding it completely. :(

  • I <3 Wicked!

  • is your iphone green?

  • Ah! Thanks Liv, I adored this :)

Hope it was a good enough theme :)

  • saw wicked last may. love it<3

  • It's hard to compare the book and musical because they're so different. I think I prefer the musical simply because A) it's a musical, B) I prefer the happy (ish) ending, and C) I just sort of prefer the way the story is told in the musical. The book is good but very... Depressing.

  • I love Wicked!

  • My friends, Amy and Rachel, are obsessed with Wicked, but I never got to see it ):

  • I am not a fan of musicals at all, not sure why, but a friend begged me to see wicked with him AND I LOVED IT! So so amazing I'm excited to see what the others come up with for this theme :)

P.S. 10 weeks congrats and keep it up I've watched you guys for every one of them :)!

  • i know what you mean about hardgoing. I read GM's take on Cinderella (Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister) which to me seemed pretty groundbreaking in terms of content, but it took so long for me to get into it, because the language was so difficult. It's fine once you adjust, although i have been putting off reading "mirror mirror" (his take on snow white) for a while, because i know the language is challenging. Ok, that is all i have to say

    <3

  • Liv, you are the cutest thing ever.

  • did you go watch it while it was in melbourne? i haven't seen it in sydney yet or anywhere in australia but i saw the original production at broadway in 2003, i think i was 11-12? at the george gershwin theatre i think. i actually hate most musicals except those by gilbert and sullivan and stephen sondheim, though those are more operas but it was alright, thoug not exactly the best time in manhatten for what was then i think my second time

  • you are very beautiful liv

  • "Wicked" for the win!

You did the whole review without saying "revisionism" or "revisionist" - for that, I must respect you.

I don't think the book or musical are better/worse than each other, they're just different. Now that you've read the book, you'll agree there's a lot the musical had to leave out for...simplicity and drama (?).

    Still, five stars for Elphaba.

  • yeah, plus a whole lot of inappropriate content haha.

  • oh so true...ALTHOUGH...if they made a musical of that...hmm...!

    =P

  • too much history extension?

  • haha love the lip syncing. Bravo. Also I have never read this book.

  • oh you must!

  • I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that the secret rule is you lipsync at the start of the video and right in the middle of the video

  • I hate books, but I gave you 5 stars for the singing.
