This is one of the videos of his I like best though on so many ways and tricks.I've always been learning the samurai sword.Ever since I started doing martial arts that was my first weapon of choice.I started when I was 15 to 24 I never seen any thing like this in dojo but at tournaments and in exetreme martial arts.Very excellent job. Thanks Mr.Roach
Your stuff really is impressive and I love seeing your tricks, I try to adapt what I can to myself. So I want to say thank you for posting these videos and your tuts. if you read this, maybe you can give me some advice. I'm mostly self train since I don't know anyone that enjoys martial arts or sword play. Is there any tricks to getting better without a sparring partner? I try to ShadowBox or imagine another person fighting me but that only seems to go so far. Any advice is welcomed :)
depends what you do. some arts like ninjutsu will only use weapons at later stages when older and only safety training weapons used. direct weapon arts like kendo can be done at any age i believe. the younger the better.
@TPRoach Could you tell me what matrtial arts have you practiced and if not any can you tell me where did you learn it plz, TY very nice 5/5 keep it up!
nice bro, i too am confused by the dual bladed swords, however i suspect is it an attachable blade u buy from certain areas where you lock it onto the end of the handle of your regular sword?
hmm??? it does have russian parts in it, starts around 1:57 roughly and goes on for abit. He even mentions two names which are translated to sergei and yuri. :)
Have you learned all those tricks by yourself or did you use some films to learn? How much time did it take? Is it difficult to learn and are there any books/films or other sources I could use to learn? Thank you in advance for your help.
To atain the skill like this it will take years of practice, and you should train in a few differentmartial arts to get your basis down before you get yourself into kenvert...trust me it makes it all the better...but you will improve very fast as you practice...youl find it to be very medatative and calming. Videos should be avalable. It's a bit tough to learn, and you NEED to learn a basis on martial arts otherwise you WILL injure yourself. even with my practice i still blew out a knee B4.
Its very fun and very medatative though and youl find joy in it if you find its for you. dont let up if you begin practice, and try to do it regularly. im stuck here at college in a city where i cant practice this sort of stuff, but its amazeing exercise
AMAZEING as usual roach haha I LOVE this music here! practicality...shouldnt you ya know be good at that practical stuff before you spin the rather exesively sharp blade around "willynilly" as they say lol.
Totally amazing Mr. Roach! You are an inspiration to all of us free minded swordsmen. Great choice of music and the editing was very captivating. I especially liked the part with the Katana flying into the sky and then you make the perfect catch! Thanks for posting man.
