  • R.I.P. Alan Meltzer

  • What a stupid call with pair kings he calls all in to dwan when ace on the table and 2 jack's stright dro .. what an idiot call..

  • @Xepmap

There's more to it. Durrrr doesn't make this play with one pair of aces so it's either at least 3 jacks or nothing. And you can't put durrrr on a jack the way the hand was played on the flop.

  • @Xepmap When I saw this on first broadcast I kinda felt the same way, but as time has gone by, I think the 2nd biggest mistake was checking the turn. Being OOP makes Dwan's turn bet absolutely unreadable. Betting is a better option allowing him to safely fold - cuz no way would Dwan bet river on busted draw.

The biggest mistake was his preflop raise. I would have shoved preflop being OOP.

    Easy to post analyze though.

    RIP Alan

  • @myrtlebox shoved pre to 300k you are an idiot

  • @holdem5180 Perhaps you are the idiot

    1. Last hand of day and ppl are stuck

    2. Laak raises early with a call behind

    3. Dwan re-raises to either take control (or he has a big hand AK)

    4. I shove here so that I can deal 3 boards if Dwan calls (which is quite possible)

    5. Once the A hits flop, Alan is in a bad spot.

It is a standard play in this scenario. I don't like re-raise pre to 30k. I am at the very least going to 75k, but prolly shove.

This idiot is a winning NL player.
