I like them both, sounds like they could be used for different applications. However I admire your integrity (for lack of a better word?) for putting your pedal up next to a high end boutique like analogman...i dont kno that I have found another pedal builder who will do that on their own
I don't think they are very comparable because they aren't really trying to achieve the same thing in my opinion. A lush chorus shouldn't be compared to a transparent one. Why not Martini vs. CE-1?
The two best chorus pedals on the market. Wish you could of used the analogman with the optional depth switch for more wetness giggity. A lot of people like the red witch, but the witch just doesnt have the warm sound as these pedals have.
I own a Analogman like,in this demo.! IMO Analogman Rules in the world of, Chorus pedals. But again friends ! We all have different taste ,guitars ,amps -style. aNaLoG.MaN also gives you 2 different flavors of chorus (stereo option only). 1output was heard, here in mono. This demo was a 9 v. battery . At 12 volt aNaLoG .MaN sounds even better, a + in headroom. Handles OD/Dist effects & Bassguitars like a champ ;-) Great pedal - shoutout.... good vibes !!
I own a Martini and several other Tortuga pedals. I've searched high and low and spent a small fortune on every pedal you can think of. In my opinion there is nothing that compares to Tortuga effects. The Martini is by far the best sounding chorus you will ever hear. PERIOD!
Again, all these parts are just improved on the fly while I'm recording. I'm concentrating more on what tones I'm getting and weather I've pressed record. The riffs were just there.
Martini sounds much better IMO. Lusher. The Analogman sounds kinda like a phaser. That's not what I want in a chorus. I buy a phaser to have phaser sounds. I buy chorus to have chorus sounds.
Matt rocks! Both my Tortuga pedal are
permanent fixtures on my board. The
Yeti is also a pedal that just sounds so
good all by itself, or partnered up. If you
don't have any of Matt's pedals and play
live music, you need too. They are worth
every penny.

I blind tested this video and every time, I liked one, it was Analogman by a mile. The Tortuga was more brittle and metallic sounding to me.

The Analogue man is way more transparent, the Martini is changing the tone of the guitar a bit too much for my liking.
